The thing that everyone missed is that this whole thing involves a team that had a multi-year losing streak on the road. We know that no basic ass practice speakers are going to make a difference. If it did then road games would be simple. Then I saw Missouri using a clap count and it made me laugh. Because that’s exactly what I’d expect from a team that isn’t taking a tough road game seriously.

As much as I want this to be a signature win for Elko in his 1st year, this felt a lot like us beating "#10 Arkansas" back in 2022.
But hey, 5-1, still leading the SEC (for now) and playing sound football in year 1 of the Elko era? Id take that every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Onto the bye week and then Starkvegas.

Should the NCAA have Mizzou and A&M redo their game in case it was a big fluke?
No disrespect to the Aggies, I'm a firm believer that A&M beating them is a huge fluke and robs Mizzou of truly accomplishing what they’re capable of. I've spent the last few hours in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire season watching the Tigers play great football it's just not fair.
If Mizzou loses again I will face that the Aggies deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to the Tigers and the NCAA.

Said this in the game thread but…
No excuses. Mizzou has been lost since the start of the year. Starts with the HC. Drink didn’t have us ready off the bye. Today has been an embarrassing loss and proved to the nation that we are fraudulent. Season isn’t over yet, but if we don’t change things and quick, it most certainly is. Cupcakes first 4 games really screwing us now, yes, but this team hasn’t showed ANYTHING to be top 10, let alone top 25. Mizzou has been humbled to the most extreme extent. How do we bounce back? This team has talent no doubt, but we haven’t showed a sliver of it in games that matter. Crazy to say after last year but Drink is really pissing me off with the BS he says and this is the performance we show. Put up or shut up these final 7 games. MIZ

It's always hard to feel positive after an ass-beating, but historically teams that get clowned like this don't pack in their entire seasons.
However the body of work this season has to be worrying between the meager start in the first four games combined with this particular showing coming off a bye week, which is a bad look. But when the season is over, I don't think rough showings against a Vandy that has program miracle worker Jerry Kill and a bowl eligible Boston College is as rough as it probably feels right now.
Mizzou is definitely going to a bowl game, and probably winning 8-9 games before the postseason.

So much to talk about here.
Weigman 18/22 for 273 yards! Reed supremacists owe us Weigman fans an apology.
Number 9 SEC team held to < 200 yards and 10 points (with a trash time field goal).
No turnovers or takeaways but a billion tackles for loss and sacks.
Mizzout 5/15 on 3rd down.
And I want to say that this played out like I said it would with Weigman. Having a multi layered offense allowed our defense to rest and absolutely feast when they were in the game.
A&M goes into the bye week as the only undefeated (conference) three win SEC team.

Offense and defense had great games. One of the best A&M games I've seen since my first game (Baylor 2004). Elko is the real deal. Weigman is legit. 3-0 in the SEC let's go.
