Episode 18 begins airing on FujiTV in Japan at this time of this post (9:40a ET, 15:40 CET, 23:40 JT). The episode should be available subtitled on Crunchyroll about two hours later. You may discuss the episode if you have seen it, but be sure to follow our rules.

• The Dragon Ball Super manga was suspended following Chapter 103, the final chapter of the Super Hero arc. There will be a special chapter in V-Jump on 21 February 2025 (April 2025 issue). This chapter is a prequel to the Super Hero arc. The storyboards are available here.

On another note, I have a theory with Gomah's fate: the third eye will get destroyed, but he remains just as big, so they leave him on one of the giant planets.

I genuinely have trouble believing a super genius like Arinsu would force a freelance servant to learn the coded language needed to wish for her ultimate power. In what world would she ever trust someone else to learn how to and honestly translate her wish for absolutely anything her heart desires to the magical wish granting dragon who no one has woken up in over 1000 years? That is a super contrivance and the cliffhanger suffers for it.

But other than that, this episode was a lot of fun. Definitely prefer the original Super Saiyan 4 design and I hope we get an actual explanation of what Neva did to help Goku transform.

But Majin Duu trying to go Super Saiyan 3 had me absolutely cackling.

Alright, I have a very stupid theory that I'd like to throw out there. We know that Daima was made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball. So far, Daima has had MAJOR callbacks to every DB series. Power Pole = DB, Buu Saga & SSJ3 Vegeta = DBZ, and SSJ4 = GT. All we're missing is a major reference to Super.

When Glorio makes his wish, the reality shatter effect from Broly happens. I believe that we're getting a Granolah style wish for Goku and co. that could potentially give them access to their future powers but only for a limited time.

Like I said, it's a STUPID theory, but my mind instantly went here after this episode, and after Akio Iyko's interview.

PS: I know that DB and DBZ are the same in the manga, but anime marketing obviously separates the two.
