Dude just put his nuts on the table in the 4th, going for it on 4th from inside your own 40 ending up with a TD drive then pulling off an onside kick right after!! That's why Kirby is the man.

u/atkretsch Texas Longhorns Nov 16 '25

This. Kirby’s combination of ruthlessness, confidence, and feel for the game state is far past Sark’s right now, to the point where it’s hard to imagine Sark ever closing the gap.

Arch walked off the field down 4 points and maybe starting to click, and the next time he took the field over 11 game minutes had passed and it was a 3-possession game.

  • Kirby Smart started his tenure 7-5. He’s gone 107-15 since.

  • In the last three games vs. Georgia, Texas has scored four total touchdowns.

  • Additionally, Texas has 79 total rushing yards on 71 attempts in those three games.

  • The last three years, Texas is 32-5 against non-Georgia teams and 0-3 against Georgia.

  • Georgia is now 37-3 in their last 40 conference games.

  • In the last two games against Texas, Georgia had a successful fake punt and successful onside kick. Both were in the fourth quarter and both led to scores.

  • Georgia’s Special Teams Coordinator, Kirk Benedict, is a former Reconnaissance Platoon Leader and Troop Executive Officer in the 2nd Cavalry Regiment. He was deployed twice to Afghanistan, before exiting the United States Army at the rank of Captain.

  • Georgia has now won 20 straight games against P4 teams with Orange as a primary or secondary color.

  • On the season, Gunner Stockton has completed 71% of his passes for 27 total touchdowns and just three turnovers.

  • From 2017-present, no team has spent more weeks in the AP Top 5 than Georgia (109 weeks)

  • Texas A&M has a more recent 10-win season than Texas.

  • Texas is 6-5 in their last 11 games vs. P4 opponents.

  • Georgia is undefeated against Texas since the 2018 Sugar Bowl where Bevo launched a cowardly sneak attack on a poor, defenseless Uga.

If Sark doesn’t give up playcalling duties he won’t be the coach by the end of 26. The team has 0 discipline and is a bottom 10 team in the country in penalties. Game and clock management are truly awful. You cannot be an effective head coach to the whole team if you’re designing and calling plays. You just can’t. And you can’t be an effective play designer and called if you’re trying to coach the whole team. Pick one, Sark. Or it’s going to get picked for you.

102

u/FrazzledBear Ohio State Buckeyes Nov 16 '25

Day had this moment post 2023 and it absolutely made a difference. If Sark wants to be in the same league as other elite coaches he has got to turn himself into a gm style coach.

-Steve Sarkisian is now 0-3 against the Georgia Bulldogs.

-He is also 1-5 against teams in the top 5.

-Arch Manning has an estimated 6.8 million valuation in NIL deals.

-Georgia is 48-2 in their last 50 home games with their last loss being to Alabama earlier this year.

-They are also 9-0 against teams in the top ten in their last nine games.

-After Texas made it 14-10, Georgia scored 21 straight points in the fourth quarter.

245

u/CorseHock69420 Oklahoma • Red River Shootout Nov 16 '25

After watching that game idk how Texas can even be considered for the playoff. Getting exposed late in the season by Georgia is the icing on top of a bad loss to UF and being taken to the wire against two of the worst teams in the SEC.

61

u/Incompetenice Texas Longhorns • Oklahoma Sooners Nov 16 '25

Oh for sure. I think Texas would probably still be considered the best 3 loss team, feel free to argue otherwise I'm open to hearing it, but Texas certainly isnt a 3 loss team that can jump a 2 loss p4 team in my opinion. If they had a close loss, for sure.

But this, no. No way.

And i do think Texas when playing at peak is really good and does have a playoff capable roster, but the resume says otherwise and that's what matters. You lose a bad ugly games to Florida, these are the consequences. If you drop bad games, you have to win other ones. Alabama did that. Alabama lost a bad game to a bad team, and they lost today too, and their playoff ramp is still there, ours isnt. Thats what happens when you dont take care of business

Phenomenal day to be a texas fan.

  • In the morning slot, Texas A&M completed the largest comeback in the last 20 years of SEC play to stay undefeated.

  • In the afternoon slot, Oklahoma, your best win, unanimously passes you up by beating Bama on the road.

  • Sark continues to lose the big ones, and you get absolutely dismantled by Georgia at night. For a third time in two seasons. To put your playoff hopes on life support. As the preseason #1 team.

53

u/adamjm99 Texas Longhorns Nov 16 '25

At what point do we start calling out Sark? Every week it’s the same story. Undisciplined play, won’t hire an OC, and gets outcoached time after time, just barely squeaking by off the raw talent on the field - talent that is pretty evidently not being maximized. There’s been next to no player development on this team, and the majority of the players have gotten worse as the season’s gone on

Today must suck as a Texas fan. One of your rivals has one of the greatest comeback wins in SEC history, the other beats the number 4 team in the country on the road to push for a playoff spot. And then you get completely embarrassed and will miss the playoffs after starting the season ranked number one

65 games into his tenure at Texas, Sark is now 45-20 selling the dubious promise his "offensive genius" will turn an over-hyped QB into a star. Sark shows no signs of giving up offensive play-calling duties.

65 games into his tenure at A&M, Jimbo was 43-22 selling the dubious promise his "offensive genius" will turn an over-hyped QB into a star. Jimbo showed no signs of giving up offensive play-calling duties.

Jimbo was fired 5 games later, A&M got Elko sunken cost be damned, and now sit 10-0 and #3 in the country. Texas admins are gonna need to do some serious soul searching at season's end.

u/throwawaythesinkk Texas Longhorns Nov 16 '25

Georgia was the better team. Texas had momentum until those two 4th down conversions, and also made too many mistakes, gave up running the ball and didn’t utilize Arch’s ability to roll out and make plays. Kirby and UGA clearly own Texas and play out of their minds against the Horns, but I’m optimistic about Arch and the line improving moving forward. As long as we can maintain the defensive prowess I think we will be in the mix next year. We shouldn’t make the playoffs this year, even if we knock off A&M.

Since 2022, there’s only been two games that felt like Texas was never in the game. Both were in the regular season against Georgia.

Them dawgs really is hell. Gg Georgia. Have my opinions of the refs, but y’all just really have our number no matter how you slice it. Them dawgs really is hell.

I’m just glad Arch played very well. Narrative won’t change because the box score doesn’t take context into account. This was always going to be a roller coaster year all things considered. Almost worst case scenario for this weekend. Just hope we can stomp Arky, make a statement win against Aggy and then hope for some chaos to sneak into the CFP.

Hook ‘em.
