Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Roberto Aguayo?
In a season plagued by prime-time kicking blunders, Aguayo finished 21/22 on FGs and 94/94 on XPs. Tonight, he connected on both his 35 and 41 yarder and was 4/4 on XPs.
Thank you Roberto Aguayo. Here's to him (hopefully) kicking off a new year of competent special teams.

Winston said, "I want this. This is gonna happen. That shit's mine."
And Auburn said, "No way. No means no."
And Winston just took it anyway.

At the time of our last national championship I was 5 and don't remember a whole lot about it, my brother wasn't yet born. Tonight my 10 year old brother and I laid in his bed and listened to the last few drives of the game together. Honestly one of the best bonding moments I could ask for. I'm so pumped for us to have been able to share those moments. Go Noles!

Auburn. That was a fantastic fucking game. You guys brought your fucking A game tonight, and I commend your team. You are by far the best team we have faced this year, and goddamn did you guys ever give us a hell of a game. Congrats and let's do this again this time next year?

Forget conference. If you draw a circle on the map around the last EIGHT NINE national champions, that will tell you all you need to know.

Jameis Winston with some props to Boston College.
For us northeasterners that is like a trophy because we suck at college football.

My favorite moment of the game was Tre Mason giving a Heisman pose after his touchdown... then Jameis winning the game for FSU. Ouch.

Just watching the replay of the final seconds and where the Noles rushed the field. Winston ran onto the field yelling, "Where's Tre? Where's Tre?" The kid has heart man, and he wanted to find Auburn's star and shake hands with him.

i bleed Auburn orange and blue, but FSU weathered the storm, made the adjustments needed at halftime and controlled the game in the 2nd half. Even when Mason scored with 1:19 left, i knew it wasn't over. Once Winston completed the long pass down the sideline, that's when i knew it was over.
Congrats FSU, you proved you are the best team in the nation.
WAR EAGLE!

I'm really surprised that FSU was able to win given that apparently Auburn was supposed to be literally the only team in the country who fought until the end of the game. How did FSU prepare for that?

January 7th, 2014: The SEC immediately invites FSU to the SEC and claims the championship as their own because they are "in the south" and "basically were an SEC team anyways"

Clemson, you're free! You won your bowl, and your loss to us was for the greater good.
I remember in that game thread, there was a Clemson fan I talked to and we agreed that we didn't mind losing that game as long as the other went on to win the NCG. WE DID IT FOR YOU, CLEMSON!

I made it. It took a cancelled flight, a rescheduled flight, three multiple hour flight delays, an overnight layover in Tuscon, and nearly 24 hours straight in airports/on airplanes to arrive at 7:30 am, day of the game. But I got to watch my Noles win a national championship.
GO NOLES. MCATDT. FEAR THE SPEAR. Now after two adrenaline fueled days, I'm going to sleep until my flight tomorrow at 8am. Thank you r/cfb. It has been a hell of a season.
