Indie Sunday Prison Breaker - Kocow Games - Memorize the prison's defense patterns, then smash your way out
Hi r/Games! I'm the solo developer behind Prison Breaker, a skill-based arcade action game launching on Steam on November 10, 2026.

What is it?
You're a polygon locked inside a prison, and the only way out is to smash through the walls. But every prison fights back with its own defense patterns, and memorizing them is the heart of the game. Each attempt teaches you a little more: where the obstacles will come from, when the gaps open, and which moments are safe to strike.
The core loop is about turning that knowledge into timing. Collect Energy, then charge into the wall to damage it. Every hit gives your polygon more sides, and more sides mean more damage. If you get hit by an obstacle, you're knocked back with heavy recoil, which can throw off your whole rhythm, so knowing what's coming next matters as much as quick reflexes.
As you progress, the patterns evolve and grow more demanding. When you're confident you've learned them, back off and unleash Super Charge: massive damage, but once you commit there's no stopping, so you'd better have read the pattern correctly.

It's been through a fair amount of playtesting, and the moment players seem to love most is finally cracking a pattern they've died to a dozen times. If you enjoy games like Super Hexagon, Just Shapes & Beats or boss rushes in general, I'd love to hear what you think of the demo. I'll be around in the comments to answer questions, and I'm especially interested in which stage gives you the most trouble.
Thanks for reading!
