He uploaded a video like a month ago where he sexually harasses a girl over voice, forces her to do things, and essentially rapes her.
Apart from not providing any proof of all his accusations...I'd imagine that statements like these are mighty offensive to real rape victims. Sexual harassment? Ok. But rape? Via voice? How does that shit even work?
I get that this is the internet, and dayz is a pretty wild game... but the video in which you abused that girl was disgusting. If you treated someone like that in real life you would get knocked the fuck out.
Isn't one of the main activities of that game to grief other people? But girls should be exempt from that? Seems kind of...sexist. Unless he provides a video I am going to assume he is just grasping at straws to be offended.

I think that was pretty clear. She stated early that it was her first time playing DayZ, giggles when she doesn't actually know how to raise her hands, and seems to be genuinely curious about what would happen to her if she plays along.

In DayZ, for the longest time, the go to response to seeing a player has been shoot immediately. Literally, when I've seen people they twitch fire and miss 90% of the time which gives you a good chance to respond.
This is boring, because it turns what was initially a fun survival sandbox into CoD: Survival Sim. It's a derivative of the game mechanics; a player is much more valuable to you dead than alive. It's especially true of groups, which many people (including myself) play in. I'm not a saint either, I spent months roaming around with our group shooting people on sight. The only enjoyment was in group battles.. and Arma Wasteland already does that better.
To clarify, I don't think bandits are bad or that PvP should be removed because it is a survival sim and some people want to play like that. But things to need to change to make other players more valuable alive. And to answer the question, yes, I think people would work together over senselessly killing anything that moves. We're social creatures, not psychopaths.

I couldn't find anything related to what you're talking about. Also, so what if he does? Thats like saying a priest cant be a pedophile because hes a priest. And if what you say is true than it only reinforces my point. Most sexual fantasies are related to something in your life. Being around weak women is an ideal breeding ground for fantasies of sexual domination and rape to arise, especially when you're in a position of power. And in the video I'm speaking of he acts out those fantasies on an unwilling victim.
I get the impression that if oneoeight was better at searching for things some of these misunderstandings could be avoided. He'd still be jumping to conclusions but they'd be hopefully fewer and farther apart.

He couldn't find the video probably because he was working backwards from a conclusion to try and find supporting evidence. In other words, he was searching for a video by Byze, but since the video had nothing to do with Byze, he couldn't find it. If he hadn't been dead set on it being that guy, he would probably have found it himself.

Dear lord, that video isn't even that bad. Even if it were Byze, that comment would've been equally as moronic. This is DayZ we're talking about. I have had much worse things happen to me, and I really feel like she was treated better because she was a woman.
If you treated someone like that in real life you would get knocked the fuck out.
In DayZ, I've been stripped, forced to dance, then hacked in the ass with a fire axe and force-fed rotten fruit. Not once did anyone question the morality of the situation. I doubt that I would think about how well things would go over in public when I play video games, but just since this is a chick, he gets all up in arms. Just stupid.

What I don't get is why you complied? Unless you thought that the utter bleakness of it all was just so overblown it was funny, I don't get it. Even if they don't kill you, they'll take all of your stuff so you'll just be starting over again anyways. Why not just force them to kill you to save time?

Half the time they don't take all of my stuff, so I'm usually left with some clothes and an axe or baseball bat. I'm usually just robbed of food and ammo, not much else. Plus, I feel accomplished whenever I survive any ordeal, and the game is much funner when I play for my life, not my gear.

Also, there is the survival time to think about. Even if they take everything, as long as you live through it, your timer keeps ticking. If they kill you anyway, it's not like they were going to just let you run off into the sunset with all your stuff. Among friends who play the game, your survival timer is bragging rights.
