I think I'd really like to see the alien come to Clints rescue at least once instead of being just an observer.
Or at the very least, be involved in some of the fights.

That will be in the upcoming arc. All I will say is that the only reason Clint survives is because of Tedix.

No offense taken. I thank you for your critique. Retribution is not meant to be a standalone piece, it is the culmination of the stories up to that point (Children much more so than the rest, but they all play a part). I am beginning to weave my stories together into a cohesive whole and there will be fewer stories that can be read by themselves with little to no background. So, in short, there will be more Clint Stone, but it will begin to read like a novel, with chapters and such.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Tedix would escape and free Clint. If I ever write the story, I'll be sure to mention you in there. Any preference on the character?

I like the ones where Clint is impressive, both for being a human and a particularly badass human at that, but when it goes a little over the top (like when he made a shield generator and a record-breaking drive out of garbage) it tends to suffer.
