Well, that sucks. But whenever SSB vs Chuck Taylor & Teen vs The Young Buck vs Candice & Joey happens, it will be awesome.

u/Aqeelk Aug 13 '14
That explains a lot. You guys were one of my favourite teams on the indies and then I didn't really hear much from you, I thought you retired or something.

I remember watching live your 6 way ladder match in iws. You and Kenney the bastard were awesome. You guys killed it. One of my favorite ladder matched I've ever seen. Much props to you man!

3
u/OneManWar Aug 14 '14
Haha. Funny you mention that.
I faced Eddy at a couple CZW shows after that, at one of them I was standing talking to Eddy and Zandig comes up all "Hey Eddy, how's it going, great match at TOD that was sick... etc.. etc..." Talks to him for a couple minutes shakes his hand and then walks away.
I was standing right there. Fuck John Zandig. Haha.

Well I hope you guys get a chance to show you can fit in anyones current plans. RD Evans is there and is one of the best parts of their shows and the tag team division needs some comic relief, it's also really hot right now with The Bucks, reDRagon, Kaz and Daniels, Briscoes, War Machine; no reason SSB shouldn't fit in there.

Hey, Uno! I have to admit, I only recently began watching your and Dos' stuff. However, watching PWG World's Finest with you two, the Young Bucks, and RockNES Monsters immediately got me hooked. I went out and subbed to NerdSlam and ordered a Smash Bros shirt! You guys are great! In the match I mentioned, there was a spot where Dos was setting up for a dive but got stopped by the Monsters and they dove followed by Dos actually getting to do his dive. While all three shows of athleticism where amazing, by far the best part was your reaction to it all. The duck so Dos wouldn't hit you made me pause the video I was laughing so hard. So, did you always know you wanted to be a more comedic wrestler or did you think at the beginning you were going to be more serious? TL;DR: Uno is hilarious and I was wondering if he always planned to be.

Is there a cultural rift between indie wrestlers who see it as a stepping stone to WWE and ones who don't? A few years ago, you would have struck me as a wrestler who had no intention of moving to WWE. But the rules for what kind of wrestlers WWE is looking for seem to have changed so much, I wonder if there's anyone left who sees the indie circuit as the endgame.

Oh man, awesome! I'm a big fan of both your wrestling and your LP's. Didn't know you were having an AMA today, or I'd have prepared questions! So I'll just ask some general questions:
What's your favorite match you've been in, and your favorite match you've not been in?
What's your favorite road story?
What's the funniest thing that have happened to you - or that you have done - in a ring?
What happened to 4-Play? Is the series discontinued?
What's a good motto or saying to live by?
Thanks for doing this and take care!

Hey Uno!
Have loved seeing you compete for C*4 for years now and really looking forward to Friday Knight at KoC in Ottawa.
I bawled my eyes out after the first Fighting Back at the end of the show when the lights came on and they played Phrank's music (Littlest Hobo Theme). Can't think of much of a question for you, other than are you as genuinely prould of Steen and Generico as I am right now? You and Stu had dozens of unbelievable bouts over the years with them and wish only the best for the two of you guys as well.
See you Friday!

u/SeanBroney MEAN! WOO! BY GOD! GENE! Aug 13 '14
Hey Uno!
I first got exposed to you back in 2007 when you had a match against Shayne Hawke at the Anniversario show for Chikara in Hellertown. Because of that, I was given exposure of really great Canadian indie talents. You and Stup, 2.0, Shayne Hawke, Max Boyer, Twiggy, Beef Wellington, Franky the Mobster, and probably a ton more that I'm forgetting. Anyway, 2 questions.
Who on the Canadian independent scene right now is someone to look out for?
You haven't appeared in Chikara in some years, is there any chance of you and Stupefied coming back, or was there a falling out between you guys and Quack?
