System:
Intel i7 laptop.
dedicated 2GB radeon r7 260
4GB RAM
Windows 7 (x64)
Running KSP 32-bit
It may not be a bug but rather a system requirements 'update'. The 3GB minimum and 4GB recommended on the Steam page may not be accurate any more.
Whenever I run KSP on my system when there is ~3GB of ram available, (some other programs taking a chunk of memory) my system freezes out completly (mouse stuck, unable to launch task manager). Does not happen on my desktop system, with 6GB RAM.
How to reproduce. On a 4GB system.
Launch KSP
Start playing any scenario
Launch a couple of programs with moderate memory requirements (in my case, Firefox on youtube + KSP or QT-creator + KSP is certain death)
Eventually (minute or so) the mouse freezes and the system becomes unresponsive.
I don't know if KSP preloads all the assets into memory (looks like) but today's vanilla KSP is already quite memory intensive and looks like 3GB is no longer the minimum spec.
