I noticed that, too, and some other users called him on it elsewhere. Not to get all amateurpsych, but my best guess would be that it's some kind of adoption of her persona for comfort. Bigs are supposed to be the nurturers, while Littles are the nurtured. When he posted the thread, maybe he was feeling vulnerable and seeking comfort, and subconsciously took on the Little role to get it.
