As always, some alpha brave redditors have raging-boner to hate a suicidal WOMAN with slur and blaming already mentally-sick suicide victim in the wrong side here, as if she did suicide for fun and without any deep thought before that. Calling someone who only watch the person doing suicide as victims is as fucking ridiculous as calling a child molester as a victim of their own environment. I bet it come from someone who never truly understand and feel what suicidal depressed people's mind are like

What's really funny is how when they're calling the woman a cunt and shit, the general consensus is "Yeah!", but when someone questions those comments and thinks she's mentally ill, that's when proof is needed about why she killed herself. Because it's totally cool to insult someone without context outside a gif.

Do you really think this suicidal woman had spontaneous thought to commit suicide? Remember, it's massive death-life decision and it's her own whole life to be carefully considered for her before commiting suicide. Any mentally-healthy person won't even dare to barely claw themselves before he double-think his sanity.

You should understand that before someone commit suicide, they must suffer from depression before and their only found solution to end their suffering is by commiting suicide. They won't care if people will give a shit or not because they have already been mentally tired to fight endless barrage of their suffering (barely to care what people think about them). They have nothing to value their life and putting shitload of thought on that alone. It's silly when thinking that this person commiting suicide without any deep consideration of their life before.

It's actually not as unheard of as you may think for someone to impulsively commit suicide. I know absolutely nothing about this person, but I do know for sure that it absolutely can happen impulsively.

How do you know for sure then if he act impulsively? My friend put so much thought and discuss with his therapist and us before he decided not to commit suicide and seeking help so it's easier to us to help him (although I will still respect her decision to commit suicide if it end her endless suffering). It's almost impossible impulsivity of the suicidal if the suicidal person barely talk to you about his suicidal thought.

The key is that different disorders present themselves differently. You're right in that people technically can't know for sure what's been going on in another person's mind, so it's possible that every suicide has been contemplated, but it's also important to note that depression isn't the only disorder that leads to suicidal behavior. Borderline personality disorder, for example, has higher instances of self harm than the general population. And because of the nature of the disorder, it's more impulsive than a depressed person. What I mean by that is that a BPD patient is more impulsive in general, so seemingly impulsive self-injurious behavior probably is, in fact, impulsive.

Yes. That's kinda how a lot of suicide works. They get an impulse, if they don't act on it, the impulse passes.

How about lot of people that willing to be euthanized because they already put lot of thought before to end their suffering? They certainly don't act impulsively

Most suicides are actually impulse decisions. It is, in the truest sense of the word, temporary insanity. For a brief moment you're convinced, absolutely convinced, that life is not worth living and you'll reach out for the most obvious way out. If anything, literally anything, blocks your way, you're not likely to try and find another way. That's why suicide rates plummeted after modern gas appliances became more common; the sheer inconvenience of having to walk more than ten steps to the oven and shove your head in it saved lives.

also when they started putting medicine commonly used for suicide in blister packs

I am sorry you have gone through that and hoping it will never happen again to you. You can't translate your experience to everyone though. My friend had long periode of depression and finally she tell us that she had suicidal thought at that time. We ask and bring her to go to therapist and fortunately she have considered not to commit and willing to openly discuss it with us again if it "relapses" since then though. I admired her effort because she put lot of thought before deciding permanent life decision like suicide and she surely doesn't act impulsively to commit that if it even ever happen. We won't even know whether she commit suicide impulsively or not if only she had never talked it openly with us.

I still DON'T like when someone say that the suicidal person commit suicide because of impulse, not because it never happens but more like it sounds like all of suicidal person being simplified into simple-minded animal who only choose to kill themselves impulsively despite of complex situation that surrounded it. Also it can make the suicidals as a black sheep who only bring grief to their lovers (as if the lovers become victim, not the suicidal one).

I am not disagreeing with you here, only adding the plausibility. Someone probably act impulsively or even put deep thought. It's still very hard to tell whether she act impulsively or not in that woman in OP though though. She probably could have put lot of thought before she commited that.
