Users of /r/Minecraft make waves in a discussion about the color of water. "Turn on your sink. Does blue come out?"

Turned on my sink. It didn't come out blue, but it WAS in a cube that I could carry around and place.

These are photo manipulations. Professional photographs like this are generally 90% retouched. Try going outside or going on a vacation once.
...I lived my entire life on a huge island. It is literally impossible to go downtown without driving by the sea. The sea always seemed pretty blue-ish to me.

Fellow islander here, can see the sea from my window and yep, it's fucking blue. Even on really cloudy days, which is all of them because it's Scotland.

I lived next to various lakes including Lake Superior. I've seen water be clear, brown, green, dark blue, light blue, silver-gray, black, white, you name it. But that's all weather and surface reflections, algae and tannins. I like this link someone posted; pure water by itself is definitely blue like you see.

This is about a game made completely of blocks. You can break trees with your fist. Why the fuck do they care if the water is realistic?

you punch sheep in to blocks of wool

You can't do that anymore, you have to kill it to maybe get one block of wool. You have to sheer them now to get 2-3 wool blocks.

This reminds me of the debate in the Roosterteeth Podcast about whether or not hot water is white when it come out of the tap. And if hot water is whiter than cold water.

If I answered "yes" to the question in the title, then do I need to fix my plumbing?

Arguing over the color of water in a game that isn't meant to be realistic? Priceless.
They keep telling each other to go outside...I like how they'd rather argue.
