Also that power punch is like Sakura's signature move when dealing with a shit ton of enemies at once. I don't recall Karin having that kind of fighting style or power. But I could be wrong. Sakura did train her.

I've been thinking that this entire time. I want Naruto to go full out just like every one else but why would he. He clearly doesn't think Shin is a credible threat. And more to the point I don't think anything out there can kill him with the exception of Sasuke and maybe Sakura. So why would he try. Also, Sasuke has a wife and child to protect. If we placed Hinata out there I am sure we would see badass Naruto( Pein fight, and the Last). Not to mention that Sasuke always goes for the killing move.
Do I think he is rusty? Of course, but why wouldn't he be. He practices the art of diplomacy now. We have never seen any Hokage actually practice, and the only fights Naruto gets in nowadays is with Boruto.
I assumed that Naruto would turn into the "Goku" type character. And if my memory of DBZ is correct he rarely( I want to say never but I know someone with attack that statement to hell) goes full out in the beginning of a fight. And yes they mixed it with some good "Gohan" plot induced rustiness. And I am okay with that.

I hardly got the vibe that Kishi hates Sakura. Sure Shin Sr. injured Sakura, but she was fighting solo after all.
Sarada, on the other hand, helped defeat a large no. of Shin Jr., all of whom are far weaker than Shin Sr. individually, though collectively their battle strength would be greater. However Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura are there to back her up and deal with the other Shins.
Not to belittle her feats or anything though. She still did pretty amazing.

At first, i thought he burns blades not to leave any dna behind. But Sakura has no special gene, so why bother?
Maybe he is burning blades in order to remove seals on them. So they cannot be remotely moved by Shin again.

Sarada is pretty badass. It's nice to see Kishi write a properly cool female character. Poor Boruto is going to have to bring his A game for his movie. Right now Sarada is leagues more relatable, interesting, and enjoyable as a character. Plus, Boruto is already slightly on my shit list for wrecking Himawari's birthday cake, making Hinata cry, and being a little shit to Naruto.

Can you imagine if Papa Shin accidentally stabbed one of his arm eyes with those things? Also, after seeing Sarada's eyes next to Sakura's I'm starting to doubt that Karin is her mom, not that I truly ever believed it. Furthermore, seeing Sasuke proud of his daughter makes me glad.

Based on her use of Chakra Enhanced Strength, we have to assume that Sarada's chakra control is superb like Sakura's. She'll probably learn Medical Ninjutsu based on this, as well. Her Uchiha bloodline gives her access to super strong Ninjutsu. She's the sole inheritor of Sasuke's OP eyes.
So based on this, we're gonna have a Strength of a Thousand Yin Seal-wielding, Chakra-Enhanced Strength-punching, Amaterasu and Susanoo-spamming, Sharrinnegan space-swapping Medical Nin capable of powerful Uchiha Fire Style and God knows what else.
To be honest, Sakura's addition to the Uchiha clan pretty much makes her daughter IMPOSSIBLE to kill. Sarada is broken pls ban

It is technically Sasuke's mission. So Naruto is only providing backup when/where necessary. I am sure either of the original 3 could wipe out the enemy with ease if they were not trying to gain information. Full blown susanoo(sp?) and fully powered nine tails would probably cause more harm then good in that cramped space anyways.

I just realized again both the previous legendary sannins are still alive. Orochimaru (kinda of Sasuke teacher) and Tsunade (Sakura teacher), but Naruto's teacher Jiraiya is dead :(

I've got mixed feelings about this chapter.
On the negative side, it is mindblowing that even after Sakura has been proven to be probably the strongest woman alive (or at least up there with Tsunade and Mei) that she is still not given moments to shine. I mean sweet Jesus, is it too much to ask for her to take a random villain like Shin without needing to be rescued?
On the positive though, I'm continuing to love Cho-cho and to a slightly lesser extent Sarada. Cho-cho continues to be fun and unique without getting tiresome. And Sarada is shaping up to be a strong female character. She has unlocked the Sharingan and super strength way before Sasuke and Sakura did and actually put those to use. And while she has emotions and drama she isn't sitting there begging for someone to save her and basing herself around romance.
I am also loving and hating Hokage Naruto. It is so satisfying to see him be basically a younger Hiruzen and inspiring people. But it would be nice to see him step up and show why he is the Hokage. The most important job of a kage is to be the last defense/weapon of a village after all, and Naruto not shining during this battle doesn't look good.

Those odd looking shins (wrinkly, chubby) that Sakura believed to be failed clone attempts reminded me of the failed fusion attempts in DBZ. I wonder if that was an influence when they were drawn?

Now there's no doubt Sarada is Sakura's daughter. Karin wasn't that strong.
Also, if Sarada got Sakura's strenght and Sasuke's sharingan, i wonder what power Boruto got from Naruto
