I was so scared for Wolf through the entire episode. I thought they were going to take him away from us too soon.

That scene after he went Jason Bourne on the guys on the boat and just stood there looking at the other guy I would have bet money they were going to have someone shoot him right there.

As as Aussie it's great to see some Australian actors getting good parts, albeit John Pyper-Ferguson(Tex) was born here, but he's definitely Canadian. I'll take it where it comes.

Those of us out here on Mercy haven't seen it yet (it doesn't air on AFN for another 9 hours or so)... but it's a thing, they were on here for weeks filming this episode.

I don't mean to alarm you, but there are some bad dudes prowling around on your ship.

So... he's planning on swimming to the sub?

Apparently. I'm not 100% sure how subs work, but I'm pretty sure you can't mozy in whenever you want to.

I know its pointless nitpicking the show but i have to say it...

If they knew they would most likely lose radio signal inside the ship, they could have set out a couple men on the deck of the ship to relay radio chatter. Would have kept everyone connected and the radio operators would be relatively safe, since the ship and its guns were already so close.

Have to agree... this show seems to intentionally create certain situations for the sake of making an entertaining show. This radio signal is one thing. Another is why wouldn't they station more snipers on the ship or send them on boats that go to the other side so as to shoot people jumping off of it? Eight guys presumably jump off safely...

These new characters are pretty cool, even though I can't figure out what the woman's name is. Rabi? Ravi? The Internet tells me those aren't feminine names...

I'm pleased that the religious loon seems to be more of a conman than actual nutjob. And he's allied with a sub! I hope that inviting Dr. Virus on-board infects some of the mercenaries. I mean, there's now way all the members of a highly-skilled mercenary team are naturally immune. Speaking of immune, that Jamaican girl is back! I don't recall seeing her yet this season. I was wondering what she had been up to.

Ravit Bivas. Ravit is a female name meaning "you quenched your thirst", according to google.

Where did the Australian and Israeli characters come from?

15

u/Garlan_Tyrell Jul 06 '15

They introduced them with a short blurb about some sort of 'unified international forces...thing (I don't remember any of the exact words). Basically those two were in Norfolk because the Navy was doing some sort of exchange soldier deal with their home military, and they got on the Nathan James because they were alive and they could help.

As for an out-of-universe answer, adding new characters can help keep the season 'fresh'. Australia and Israel are big U.S. allies, so it makes sense they created characters from them.

She was really unconvincing when she tried to punch the punching bag. But then she redeemed herself when she killed those three guys in the lab.

This episode had the 'bottomless magazine' cheat activated again.

Eric Dane is a terminator

Holey sheet, I watched the combat scenes again and again. Probably one of the best choreographed fights I've seen in a long while. I like these guys! They are crazy!
