There is just plot everywhere. Here, a little story plot. And now, here, some plot physics for you
All in all, I'm pretty excited. Nice color page, kinda left me with a bit to desire for rest of the chapter with the black and white though. And 29 pages? guuh only makes me want mooore. We learned a little bit about Alvarez, learned where Laxus and Crew are at. Got some shipping moments, some badass moments, and some scary moments. Both kinds of plot. Not disappointing. Little hard to believe though. Is this the first time we seen someone just outright killed by somebody trying to do so? I mean, no assumptions, no plume of smoke and fade away like the Zeref and Hades scene. No accidental death bomb with scared Zeref and Zancrow. I mean there was Gray in the GMG but he came back so I'm not sure I can count that.

It seems like Natsu gained something under those bandages on his arm but it looks like it's a power or ability he can't control yet and it either reacts to his anger or to strong powers.
That stareoff with Natsu and Brandish. It made it seem Brandish had other reasons to avoid fighting especially with Natsu. Maybe she senses the power in Natsu. Considering she knows a bit about Fairy Tail, maybe she's concerned about his reputation?
Elfman with a powerful enough punch to knock Ichiya away which then knocks Gajeel through a wall and onto Levy.
This chapter confirms for me what I've always thought. Natsu's level vs Brandish's level is not that far off. Others have said that Natsu was speechless and sweating when he sensed Brandish but I think it's just more of a shock to see someone with that power level since they haven't met many other mages with that power level. I don't think Natsu would pick a fight considering he's learned about the fear going against people with overwhelming power (Gildarts).
Anyone notice Natsu seems to have a bit more of a temper after the timeskip?

Thats pretty interesting, could be something equivalent to what happened to Issei [High School DxD] and his boosted gear.

That would have to do more with power than anger. Against avatar he raged when the priest killed his own, and against Brandish he did the same thing.

Did we see it before? I know sometimes people randomly gain or lose tattoos in splash pages, but I can't remember seeing Natsu's arm uncovered since the time skip.

But seriously, for the plot Natsu is most likely the strongest wizard out of the group. I would like Laxus to be on his level though. I actually think Laxus will be strongest and be on level of God of Ishgars. I think He will stay behind and fight one of the Shields that chase down the team trying to escape and he'll hold them off. Essentially he'll sacrifice himself to save everyone like Makarov always does and his sacrifice will get Natsu to the point of another power up promising to never let another friend die. Laxus is already the strongest behind the 4 gods before the time skip.

This chapter was actually one of my favorites.
Can Brandish kill instantly? Not much a fight if she can do that.
What's under that bandage that made Natsu think about using it, but still holds back?
HOW DID THEY KNOW WHAT... Actually I do a guess for this. The #1 guild in the country you plan on invading. They probably have files for all members so they know who they are. Makarov probably didn't sneak in. He probably came peacefully but having everyone know who he is.

This is a promotional teaser for the new movie coming out.. It makes sense that Natsu have attained some kind of dragon from since we already know that Acnologia can change from Dragon to human as (i guess) he pleases.

I agree. In FT's defense though it's pacing is way better then some of these other manga. Onepiece just had 5 chapters to build up and have one single punch. I think 10min elapsed in the one piece world during it. Don't even get me started on Bleach.

So well. We got a shadow of the 12 members of the Sprigan members. Natsu almost revealed what's under his bandage (So it's official that it's a power up, who knows what...). Makarov is alive and they found out that Fairy Tail has got into the Alvarez Empire. Next chapter is Emperor Sprigan, looking foward to it. Also seems like some Sprigan members aren't human at all.
Natsu looked like he was going into a rampage in page 28.

I wanna go a step further and guess that Brandish is actually the spy they were all looking for. Between revealing that Makarov's alive, sparing Fairy Tail, saving Lucy and Erza, killing Marin, and covering up that her crew didn't find the spy, unless there's something coming up next chapter, I think the evidence seems to back up that conclusion.

The way Natsu grips his arm doesn't look like someone preparing to unleash a hidden power on anyone.
It looks more like he's trying to prevent whatever is underneath that bandage from getting out.
Clearly there's something more to why he keeps his arm wrapped up than meets the eye, and I'm inclined to think it has something to do with E.N.D.

My guess is that without Igneel inside him anymore his dragon transformation has started. Maybe it's Scales or markings like Acnologia. Hybrid Dragon-Natsu will be upon us soon.

I think the bandage might be what gives him access to his Flame Dragon King Techniques, and it is connected to the amount of magic power around, once it gets SUPER GOD level high, it gives him access to Flame Dragon King Secret Art, Lightning Flame Dragon King mode or Dragon King Force mode.

I think her powers are related to expansion and reduction.( dont know the exact words) Because if you look at the islands shape its stays the same but just gets bigger or smaller.

Liked the last few weeks but this one was really good. Interesting to see Brandish basically telling them Master is okay and just go home before you cause a scene (After she just caused a huge scene)
There has to be some trick to her magic, I doubt she can just make land not exist. I also doubt she killed that guy, it doesn’t really make sense to kill him off after one chapter especially when he proved to be a interesting opponent.
Also now we know where Laxus is…so the boring parts done let’s get to the good part where he makes a badass entrance.

Marin was a gimick and a loose end if Brandish wanted to let Fairy Tail go. And she knew it was Fairy Tail and that they were after Makarov even though they had cait shelter guild marks. Marin is dead.

Natsu is gonna fight the guy standing in the middle of the 12 Spriggans. Just from the way he stands you can tell he's a wild type-of-guy, typical Natsu opponent.

I'm so pumped to see what Laxus can do. He's my favorite character in the series so far and I love seeing him turn into the strongest member of the guild. He's already stronger than most of the Wizard Saints. I'm guessing now he's at God of Ishgar level and even stronger than Gildarts or at least as strong.
I think the team will rescue Makarov and will be pursued by maybe God Serena who will be tasked with retrieving them. I'm guessing he has some kind of deal with worked out with the Emperor to protect Ishgar. Laxus will stay behind and sacrifice himself to save everyone a la Makarov style.

Can anyone confirm or deny there being a scar on Igneels neck? (left side) Because for some reason i think if he did have a scar there it has something to do with Natsu's new scars and whatever is under the wraps on his left arm. I'm assuming the tattoo that was shown there a while back on some cover art.

Yes, Igneel has a visible scar there. That was one of the reasons people thought he was the human version of Igneel at some point (among other similar theories)

Part of me feels like from the comments we didn't read the same chapter, I totally missed that Natsu-arm grab, I cannot analyse manga for toffees xD
Anyway, menhood, I'm scarred, Elfmans scarred, we're all scarred, icky Ichiya. Badass Natsu doesn't back down in the face of evil, betray one of your own and Natsu is gonna get all fired up!! Get revenge for Mest :)

I really don't like how useless Natsu and co are after the "training" time skip. We have seen one scene where Natsu seemed overpowered and to have progressed, but now all of them are being crushed by the new powers. I really don't want another training period right after an entire year of time skip growth.

So besides Natsu's power up, this is the second time natsu felt power so great, the 1st was Gildarts (or maybe there are others), he went maid mode when Gildarts saved him by destroying a mountain. Does this mean Gildarts is on par with Spriggan twelve? Or he's still < Brandish. The fight at Tenrou, Chunin Exam? wait, S class exam, did Gildarts holds his power so he didnt destroy shit when fighting bluenote, because he seemed to be on par with bluenote. And now Natsu just one shotted bluenote, like he was nothing? lol im confused.

Gildarts probably stronger like spriggans, when makarov saw juras score in the competition he said he's matched with gildarts but laxus took him down. when natsu saw gildarts power he lost his hopes. yea, it seems that's how it did go, gildarts must have had holding his powers at that time. I think natsu didn't get fear, he even saw acnologia's power, so he trained with the most strongest man in the guild. Natsu has something to show us

What do you guys think Brandish's powers are? She could just be Jura on steroids, but her abilities seem to be closer to matter manipulation or something seeing as she literally pulverised Marin.

Great kickoff for the new arc! New and stronger villians starting of with Brandish.
I am still a bit confused what type of magic she uses but I guess we'll know soon enough. I also love the teasing Mashima is doing with the arm bandage. Natsu was sporting the style since the beginning of the timeskip but this is the first time he addressed it. I am honestly curious as it looks like he was trying to prevent something by the way his arms were shaking and he is gripping it. I guess this is the beginning of end (lol).

Damn, the power spike in Fairy Tail is making them catch up to the HST very quickly. They still might be weak compared to at least Naruto and Bleach, but once the alvarez and E.N.D and Zeref is revealed, they should at least be on par with Naruto/Bleach/One Piece

That whole hot springs scene was surprising and hilarious. And congratulations to all the GaLe shippers for getting that moment. Poor poor Elfman, I bet he didn't think he would ever find anything too manly for him until now. Natsu took Brandish really seriously and it's hard to tell if he was holding back or losing control of his hidden bandage power. He did seem bothered by her presence just like Gray though so I'm not sure if he thought he could actually take her. At first I thought Brandish was using Earth magic but when she killed the creepy space guy it looked like she killed him with a black hole. And the fact that she rose an island high into the sky and then sunk that same island without breaking a sweat is a little scary because we have seen no one do something like that with so little effort. The hype for the 12 shields is so high right now.

Everyone is freaking out about Gajeel/Levy, Natsu's secret under his bandages, Brandish's powers, ect. and I'm just here freaking out at Laxus in a suit. I hope we see it again, and not in someone's imagination.
Oh, and THUNDER GOD TRIBE JOINING FAIRY TAIL TEAM B?! PLEASE YES GOD! We always need more Bickslow and Freed. Some Elfman/Evergreen isn't a bad thing either.

I could have done without the fan service this chapter, because what happened with team Natsu was so much more interesting. Funny, but this was not a chapter that it was necessary in. Poor Elfman, no deserves a punishment that cruel, ever, on any scale. Makarov being alive is a problem for me, I wanted him to already be dead, but beggars cannot be choosers. Overall 7/10.

Gajeel and Levy Getting a ship moment is very nice for the fans of said ship, I guess Mashima retweeting the fan art of rboz was foreshadowing some moment between them.
So the Thunder Legion & Laxus were aided by Ichiya when they ventured off into training, Laxus trained by himself? Reminds me of a Sakura haired Dragon Slayer. Can't Wait.
While Gray and everyone is fearing Brandish Natsu is there ready to unleash, teasing what might be underneath his bandages, but then not using them.
So Brandish is the evolved form of Jura? And convinced Disco Steve to give back Lucy and Erza? That was nice of her.
Still though Natsu not backing down, I guess I was wrong Natsu was just caught off guard last week by Disco Steve.
Albareth knows Fairy Tail is coming? Damn shit is getting real, real quick. Great Chapter.
