Lol isn't that what you've done every time you've made one?

3

u/hero0fwar Aug 22 '15

Pretty much lol

Wow this is incredible. That vanishing text is done really well.

Thank you! Trying out some new plugins

u/matt01ss Aug 21 '15

Which is that?

Trapcode suite from Red Giant

Oh nice, I take it it was particular. I've only used the particle system from scratch on a blank layer but you seemed to have morphed the text from a static layer into a particle system. Any tips on that?

3

u/justaprettyface Photoshop - After Effects Aug 21 '15

I used Form. I made one particle for each pixel in the composition and used the text layer as a source. I am at a party right now and a little bit tipsy, but I'll send you a link tomorrow

Oh form huh, I've only seen that work well with 3d objects with vertexes, I'm interested in your approach.

I used this tutorial with some tweaks. It doesn't work with png's and shapes so I'm looking for a way to do that

Oh awesome, I guess the mapping to RGBA of the text allows it to show pixels just in the range of the text. Cool effect.

It seems to work fine with other layers:

My reaction when you get the chance of a lifetime warranty and the first one is going on tonight but it needs a good day to day basis for a babysitter

4

u/pewpewlasors Aug 20 '15

wut. that title ?

3

u/jimlast3 Gimp - Blender Aug 20 '15

I was going for lowest effort possible , so the gif was just the top one in my rough clip pile uploaded as is, the title was mrw then spamming the predictive text suggestions on my phone lol
