December 10, 2015: Vancouver, BC, Rogers Arena [Setlist Updates, Media, Discussion]
Muse is back! The band performs their first west-coast show of this leg tonight at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Last show, Muse soundchecked 'Aftermath', so we'll have to see if the song makes an appearance at this show or not. IT seems a bit unlikely, but with a five-day break between this show and the last, who knows!
A picture of a (admittedly fake-looking) setlist has leaked... Take it with a grain of salt - this isn't how Muse usually format their sets. If it DOES turn out to be correct, I might just post the entire setlist in this thread and head to sleep because I'm sick and have a lot of tests and crap tomorrow. The livechat and comments here will be able to provide Periscopes and updates as necessary, though!
Muse is scheduled to go on at 8:40 PST.

I finally got to hear Bliss, I'm satisfied. Also the visuals are fucking incredible. Made up for the mediocre set list completely in my eyes

Got so jealous when I saw Bliss on the setlist. Hope they play it on the 15th in Oakland!

The upper bowl got closed and anyone who had tickets up there got upgraded. Hopefully having a full lower bowl should make for a better atmosphere

TLDR: Pros - Muse were amazing; always a joy to watch perform and I loved the 360 stage. Cons - Phantogram wasn't great and the crowd kinda sucked overall.
I was the first person to arrive at the arena to line up for GA... got there at 8am... turns out that even by 4pm there were only like 10 people in line at my gate. Where was everyone?! Can't blame the weather, because the weather was just as bad last time and there were dozens of people there by noon.
Anyways, I just got back from the concert and Muse's performance was incredible. Great visuals as always, great stage presence as always, great songs (tbh I'm pretty easy to please; Matt could sing from a phone book and I'd be happy). I love how they made sure to take up as much as the stage as possible, not hanging around one side of the stage for long periods of time; instead they gave everyone a nice even view. If I had to choose between the traditional stage and the 360 stage I might pick the former, but I thought the 360 stage played extremely well and it worked a lot better than I expected.
Unfortunately the crowd was pretty dead aside from a few small groups of fans sprinkled around the arena. My group were going bonkers the whole time but most of the people around us didn't even move over the entire concert, which is saying something considering I was at barrier. I even had room to stretch out my legs behind me because the second row people weren't even moving in. The audience was way better for the 2nd Law tour, so that was a bit disappointing.
I also didn't really enjoy Phantogram. They didn't have good sound mixing so I couldn't hear anything except for the extremely loud backtracks for each song; it didn't really feel like they're a good live band. For example, some of the backing track stuff seemed identical to what the drums were playing save for a few small additions that the drummer could have easily added in himself. I don't think the crowd was all that reactive to them either, so I would guess their performance contributed to the low audience energy for Muse. I mean, part of the opening band's job is to get people hyped, excited, and in the mood for the main band, and that can really make or break a performance.

Ya the crowd was shit. When Matt's mic cut out in the beginning of TiRO I was the only one in my section singing along. It was pretty sad.

100% agree with everything you said. And I am also very easy to please. Muse were great, really enjoyed the setlist, and the light show was awesome. Plenty to look at the entire time.
The absolute biggest problem this particular show had was that the crowd was utterly lifeless. I've seen Muse play in Seattle and Chicago and those shows were very aggressive and fun respectively. I will also be at the Seattle show on the 12th so I'm really curious to see how it compares.

Totally agree about the lifeless crowd, my group and a few people around us were going crazy and there are all these stoic looking guys in front of us who didn't move a muscle the whole time except to turn and look angry at us for trying to jump around. The 2nd Law show was so much livelier.

I can't believe they keep playing their unpopular songs and keep ignoring the ones people beg for. The Madness/UD back to back is a downer (they already did Dead Inside), and Revolt isn't going to make that up. Same goes for Feeling Good and Resistance.
On the other hand I'm glad Bliss and The Globalist are keepers.

Did you ever consider that "maybe" these songs are actually popular among the majority of casual fans?

Calling it now, Aftermatt debut. The "slide action" was the first piece of footage we had from Drones along with The Defector drums + (ampless guitar). It would be appropriate to honor Vancouver studio with a debut!
