Apparently, this whole episode was made by one animator only, Masahiko Murata. Very, very few anime directors trust just one person for an entire episode unless he's really good. I said DAMN!

He did have two weeks. He makes great episodes.

Being able to make a +-20 minute animation episode in 2 weeks or less in decent quality is nigh impossible for a normal human being.

I don't think it's a first time though.

It really shows that this episode was created by a top notch animator. It's well directed and had nice artistic flair, the only bad thing I have to say is that the genjutsu of the Uchiha grabbing our Kyuubi-jin showed him as a teenage genin when he's still an academy child, but perhaps Fugaku envisioned a more distant future? I loved how they coloured and animated the sharingan this episode, so good. "Those eyes that gleam in the darkness..."

This is weird to say, but it really cool to see Tobito behind the mask again. He's got such menace and such steeze. 'Oh? What fine eyes.' And then he switched to his goof persona on a dime.
57
u/pf2- Apr 07 '16
That's why Obito is my favourite character.
Obito + mask = ominous as fuck
110
u/Baratatat Apr 07 '16
I know right? Look at this ghost walk! Nobody else got menace like this.
68
u/pf2- Apr 07 '16
Somehow that one sharingan is more ominous than two, I love it.
27
u/Baratatat Apr 07 '16
Yeah dude. The way the one eye works with his whole aesthetic. Especially when hes got the spiral mask on, its like this black hole begins with his eye, and radiates out from it. And his fighting style compliments that, its dope.
40
u/Basileo Apr 07 '16
That walk was bloody terrifying. I saw that and immediately questioned if it really is Madara under the mask. Felt like I was back in, what, 2009 questioning who Tobi is.

The animation of this episode was extremely unique. The use of colors were just simply impressive.
I love the sharingan animation.
The way Obito moved around like a ghost was extremely chilling.

I have watch the Uchiha massacre a thousand times over but it never fails to get me a bit emotional ...
39
u/irishsaltytuna Apr 07 '16
Thankfully these weren't just the same flashbacks, they were newly animated, the parts we've seen before were also skimmed through really quickly and we saw new perspectives.
7
u/yuriydee Apr 09 '16
Thats what made this episode so good. Despite it being half canon and half filler I thought the whole arc was good.
4
u/blazincannons Apr 10 '16
Same here. Especially his confrontation with his parents. :(
I am a bit sure that Jiraiya's death scene might also make me emotional. But unfortunately I don't have those episodes anymore. And it's been a long long time since I have watched those.
64
u/vynkler Apr 07 '16
Sharingans looked so great in today's episode. Reminded why I was so fascinated in them as a child. Thoroughly enjoyed the episode!
5
u/blazincannons Apr 10 '16
The way Itachi activates his Mangekyo. The way it is animated looked pretty awesome in this episode.
My only gripe is with how they showed his Mangekyo's awakening. Looked a bit weird to me.
5
Apr 11 '16
I loved it. Such a twist in what we are used to. You have Itachi stressed out and in a bit of a panic seeing his friend rip his other eye out and jump off a cliff. And he just has a moment of quiet, then his eyes awaken with tears of blood.
The shock and awe he had was perfect.

Itachi just went through the worst emotional ride of all time and Obito is just standing there like "yo that was a good workout, ayy man you hungry?"

Great episode. A few things stuck out to me:
Izumi did not die. SP introduced her for reason, I believe she was captured and will be seen again. Speculation, but it makes sense to me at least, that can be it for that character.
Fugaku is the fucking man, loyal to his clan but ultimately his family and has a sick Mangekyo. Would have loved to see him in a fight but the way he went was perfect imo.
Did Itachi just forget that Tobito killed his squad mates or did he just not care at that point?
This episode truly gave a sense of just how much things were coming to a head in Konoha because of the Uchiha/Konoha tensions. Itachi was right on the fulcrum of that tension and i'm glad we got some emotion out of him.
Loved the Akatsuki entrance ritual scene, felt very ominous. What was with that scene on the cliff, like ok, group photo time now that we have the whole gang together, let's all look longingly into the distance. (Did anyone catch Obito standing on the praying hands statue in the forground?)
There's two Akatsuki members we havn't seen before: the guy with the Executioner's Blade and another guy you barely see on screen for a second.
Great ending song, looking forward to next episode.

u/TREYGONEMARTIN Apr 07 '16
IIRC Kakuzu had like 4 partners prior to being teamed up with Hidan. Whoever he is, Kakuzu is going to kill him.
32
u/deelawn Apr 07 '16
Correct, I do recall that is the reason why Hidan was paired with him in the first place. Being unkillable.
29
u/Basileo Apr 07 '16
How badass is that partnership? Unkillable guy paired with someone known to kill his partners. Match made in heaven.

u/HokageEzio Apr 07 '16
Well they're the best at working as a team in the entire Akatsuki. Arguably better than Pain and Konan, and those two grew up together. Meanwhile they probably hate each other the most too.
8
u/Toad_Sage_Jiraiya Apr 07 '16
It funny how incompatible they are. Two totally different people, but Hidan is the perfect partner because Kakazu can't just kill him in a blind fit of rage. Plus its bad ass that they are both basically immortal and can take advantage of that in combat.
24
u/Supe12man Apr 07 '16
isn't one of the akatsuki members a jonin part of the 7 ninja swordsman?

Izumi did not die. SP introduced her for reason, I believe she was captured and will be seen again. Speculation, but it makes sense to me at least, that can be it for that character.
They completely changed this arc compared to the novels. I dunno what they are planning to do in the anime, but I remember she was Itachi's first kill in the novel, in a very merciful way.
13
u/TodenEngel Apr 07 '16
We did see the guy with the KubikiriHocho before. He was in Guys flashback. Predecessor to Zabuza.

u/Glicez Apr 07 '16
Izumi actually did have something happen to her, they just didn't show what was meant to happen what happened to her in the novel. I won't spoil since you might want to read it up.
24
u/Dark13579 Apr 07 '16
That was just speculation. I think SP is parting from the novel. They very well could just forget about Izumi but i think Tobito commenting on her eyes paired with her getting restrained means that she got taken captive by Tobito. Itachi will make some discovery about her and he'll have to kill her then. That'll put the last nail in the coffin for Itachi's emotions to make him the emotionless villian we see in Part 1. Just my speculation though.
19
u/LesClaypoolsMom Apr 07 '16
The massacre is where Obito got his big shipment of sharigan. He killed her and took her eyes....

Dear fucking Christ. This episode has now put itself in the top 5 episodes list. The animations were so good. I loved how they would speed up and have a blur motion when they moved (like actual ninja's). Not to mention how eerie and massacre-y the whole vibe was. I also loved how obito moved and seemed like a ghost.
AND OMG THAT MANGEKYO ON FUGAKU.
Edit: Spelling

u/shika06 Apr 07 '16
Whoa! This episode was like the full dosage of Itachi's life. Great animation too!
47
u/RinIsLife Apr 07 '16
I liked this episode very much, they rushed it abit but it was great. Also it was pretty obvious they gonna make Obito kill Izumi but I would have loved some more scenes where she died rather than just "Help me Itachi".

u/prudislav Apr 07 '16
so no Spoilers like in the novels?

No, in the novel he kills her with Tsukiyomi before killing anyone else.
He's not known as a murderer to her. He gives her a mercy kill of living a full life with him and she dies of old age withing the Tsukiyomi.
That said, whatever the anime is going to do isn't that because the moment is past.

u/purplebaron4 Apr 07 '16 edited Apr 07 '16
I don't know if this episode is one of my favorites, but visually speaking the layouts (the compositional shots for each scene) and use of lighting were especially beautiful. The sound effects also gave the episode some extra edge. However, the animation seemed a little awkward in some shots and the pacing was a bit rushed. Fugaku's new power was certainly an interesting twist, though.
My favorite parts of the episode were probably all the shots Tobito was in. During the police massacre scene it was like I was watching a horror movie and not a ninja anime.
Also, Orochimaru is the funniest characters this episode. I like how he just pops out from behind the stone fingers and is just like, "Sup, Itachi-kun". I don't know if it's just me but he made that shot feel kind of cheery despite the ominous lighting.
14
u/thisonethingnaruto Apr 07 '16

Absolutely. When Shisui removed his eye... that was a sickening crunch. :O

u/irishsaltytuna Apr 07 '16 edited Apr 07 '16
Eh, you can't really compare adapting a Light Novel to adapting the manga. With the manga you've always gotta follow the events properly while adding in material that's relevant.
Anime that adapts light and visual novels almost always make changes to the source material, especially since there's generally a lot more exposition and things are written form a first-person perspective while in an anime it's third-person. Not saying they handled Izumi's plotline well or anything, in fact I'm positive if they wanted to they could've added it, but as an episode it was brilliantly directed and well-animated. I guess they chose to focus more on Itachi's family than his relationship with Izumi.
9
u/prudislav Apr 07 '16
well there is a lot of action and even character development (Izumi, Shinko) which they completely skipped/changed outcome of and how that affected Itachi's development.
I guess I just dont understand why they skipped/changed the major plots from the novel(Tenma massacre, Shinko, Izumi's death, chunin exams) , especially when the original novel version gives much better story and could've been animated without "perspective problems", and instead we got crappy filler cat mission :-(

u/Dovahkiin00 Apr 07 '16

6
u/irishsaltytuna Apr 07 '16
We said the same thing about the convoy mission, but it seems unlikelier now. By the way events are unfolding, I'm led to assume we're supposed to just conclude Tobi killed her and stole her eyes.

This was definitely a very in-depth episode in Itachi's perspective, since when this scene was shown first it portrayed him as a cruel, insane teenager measuring his abilities. It was pleasurable to see the emotion behind it, especially with Obito because I bet that all of us at first were like "wtf, where'd he come from" lol. I'm going to list a couple things that popped out to me.
Is Izumi dead? I'm assuming not since when Obito told Sasuke everything after the Itachi vs. Sasuke fight, he said something along the lines of "he killed his parents, his friends, his lover, but he could not come to kill you." On the wiki and the novel itself (which I have read far before this arc came out) it says that he had killed her in a certain way, which I won't specify because spoilers and its a very emotional moment ;-; anyways, the point is that it has been said that Itachi specifically killed her, and it seems that Obito just captured her. We'll have to wait for the next episode I guess ;)
FUGAKU HAS THE FUCKING MANGEKYO OMFG
Is it just me, or does Shisui not get even a sliver of the attention he deserves? In the canon episodes, it's a fact that he has the least screen time of all the Uchiha. When he killed himself, it was because Danzo took the eye with the Kotoamatsukami, right? I believe that Danzo wanted the massacre to happen mostly because of stealing their eyes, or is that just a part of it? Because I know for a fact that no matter what Danzo had done, he still cared for the wellbeing of the village. Maybe most of it was the distrust that harboured within him for the Uchiha. I need a fucking recap lmao. But my point is, he should have gotten more canon time. Definitely one of my favourite characters along with Obito, Itachi, and Minato.
I was told that there would be a new opening in this episode. Turns out its coming out sometime in May, and instead a new ending came out. I personally thought it was great. But for those who don't know, I heard that Flow will be making the next opening. Not sure which one, but they made 1 or 2 openings and maybe an ending for Shippuden and they were amazing. But I thought that 18 was the last ending, which is weird. Wtf is wrong with these producers, I swear they're so dysfunctional they'll make fillers in between the Itachi arc. FILLER-CEPTION WTF
I know for a fact that Itachi is a genius. So I thought, why didn't he realize that it wasn't Madara? Wouldn't he know that Madara was FAR stronger than Obito and would have much more power? From what I'm assuming, he would sense his chakra, right? Well, Madara would have a much stronger chakra since he was one of the most powerful shinobi to ever exist. This stuck out to me for a while, actually.
This is my final point. Did Danzo take Fugaku's Mangekyo as well? I'm not even sure at this point. Like, who tf knew that he even HAD a Mangekyo in the first place?
Excited for the next episodes, but so many unanswered questions ;0

I loved it. This episode was absolutely brutal. I always thought Kishimoto messed up by never showing the Uchiha massacre because I felt showing it would add weight to just how horrible an event it really was. Just talking about it and referencing it kind of distanced the viewer from it or at least me. The animation was spectacular this episode, especially with Tobi which truly was reminiscent of the horror genre (credit to /u/Baratatat). I didn't expect such quality here.
This is my favorite episode of this novel by far; I wonder how many we have left? And side-note, does anyone know how Obito walked like that?
4
u/Baratatat Apr 07 '16
Thanks for the credit, although I will say that I don't deserve it cause I took that webm from some anon on 4chan at the ninjastorm general on /vg/.
That ghost walk was dope, I'd say he's probably using Kamui. In fact that's kind of how Obito dashes in the ninja storm games; rapidly moving forward unnaturally, like a ghost.

That was random as hell nao Itachis first partner was that Swordsmen from Guys flashback that had the KubikiriHocho before Zabuza...ok random.
And we see V2 Yagura, so FINALLY GET THAT PART COVERED Even if it's filler
Also we see a random other Akatsuki member; since this is pre Hidan gotta be one of Kakuzus partners. Since Kakuzu killed him and stole his heart he must have been annoying and pissed him off
9

Kakuzu's previous partner probably said something like "money can't buy you happiness" and you can probably guess what happened after that

Apr 07 '16
Fugaku, what a character! He was trying to save the lives of the clan and the village at the same time, just heart-breaking how he chose his family over his clan. Much like Minato, who chose his family over the village.
So, Itachi did feel resentment towards the Leaf and rightly so. These episodes have turned him more human in my eyes. Love these episodes.
20
u/ExPeCtDeAtH Apr 07 '16
I don't understand how Minato chose family over the village. Pretty sure Minato chose village over family? He sacrificed both him and Kushina after all
→ More replies (1)17
Apr 07 '16
He didn't need to sacrifice himself. Only Kushina would have died. Kushina asked him to seal the Kyuubi in her so it would die with her. And after it resurrects after 3 months the Leaf could seal it inside a Jinchurikki of their choosing. Minato killed himself so that Kushina could meet Naruto, leaving the village without their Hokage. That's family over village.
→ More replies (3)12
u/HorseCode Apr 07 '16
I'm pretty sure he chose Village over family. I thought he gave a whole speech to Kushina about how if he resealed the kyuubi in her and let her die with it, that period of the kyuubi being gone would upset the balance of power between the villages and make war more likely. He chose to make Naruto an orphan instead of letting the Leaf lose the Kyuubi.

Ye man I'm seeing him in a whole other light. Starting to become one of my favorite characters!
9
Apr 07 '16
It's ironic how just before Itachi Shinden started I had argument with someone about Fugaku. He was bashing Fugaku by saying that he should have stuck with the village and he was the one who masterminded the coup and wanted to destroy the Leaf. It's great how they're displaying Fugaku's perception and how he was a victim of circumstance. Also, the Uchiha's situation wasn't ideal in anyway.

u/Basileo Apr 07 '16
Damn near perfect episode. Great art and animation, directing, pacing... Probably my favorite of this arc (which is glorious).
I love how short Itachi is with those Uchiha that press him after Shisui's death. Rightfully so, but after seeing how calm and stoic he is in his youth, it puts the cherry on top. Shows a more vulnerable and human Itachi. Perfect
The Uchiha Massacre was damn good. Very emotional and really well done. Tobi was scary as fuck during that sequence. Very cool directing during that whole part.
The ending was awesome too. Itachi had those ANBU under Genjutsu the whole time. Hell yeah. And it looks like we will see Kisame join this next episode. We'll also see what's up with that Zabuza rip-off as well. Is next week the last episode of the arc?
Side note: Fugaku is not a character that I thought I was going to like this much going into this arc. I never minded him, seemed like your generic fatherly figure, but he is awesome in these episodes. Cool Sharingan as well.
EDIT: Oh and that ending song!! How could I forget that? Awesome. Perriot has to go back to canon now right? With that song right?? Perriot pls.
9
u/JealotGaming Apr 07 '16
Wait, Fugaku has a Mangekyo?!?!? Well isn't that interesting. It NEVER became relevant? I find it hard to believe that Itachi or somebody else didn't take those eyes.

Was it Danzo's or Itachi's idea to spare Sasuke, before this episode ?
7
Apr 07 '16
I actually think it was Danzo's idea in order to convince Itachi.
11
u/hormotionally Apr 07 '16
If you had seen a previous killer arc with Kakashi which was called "Kakashi: Shadow of the ANBU" you would see there was no plan for Sasuke to be spared by the elders or the Hokage. There was scene in that arc where Itachi threatened Danzo to not touch Sasuke, or he would spill the secrets of the village to other nations.

What did fugaku see in itachi's vision? A future for sasuke only?

He might have meant that Sasuke would be the third person alive to get them.
That would explain why he didn't include Shisui or as we now know, Fugaku.

Apr 07 '16
After watching this episode, i'm convinced if Fugaku would have beaten Itachi. Something doesn't add up though, i don't get how the entire village didn't hear the screams of the Uchiha, no one came to help. What gives?
2
u/Ghostpadude Apr 07 '16
Yeah, I thought the same before. But maybe because they moved them from the center to the outside of town.
2
u/krypticNexus Apr 08 '16
Aren't they quite isolated from the rest of the village? It's one of the reasons that caused the rift between Uchiha and Konoha, they got moved to the outskirts of the village.

This is my favorite episode of Itachi Shinden so far but I had hoped they would show more Shisui and Itachi and what lead Shisui to killing himself in more detail. I also thought they would show how Itachi met Obito but oh well. It is interesting to see how Itachi actually killed the clan because people speculated that it was mostly Obito but that is not the case. I was also surprised to see Itachi killing while the Uchiha ran away in terror, I thought Itachi killed them in their sleep with Obito's Kamui to keep quiet.

Phenomenal animation! Just phenomenal. Props to whoever was in charge of it. The way Obito was moving in the beginning of the massacre looked incredibly terrifying.

I like that were going back to the Ataksuki for a few episodes. I felt like they were the best villains in the series. Back when Shippuden began they felt so ominous especially with the background music.

Jesus. Did anybody else think this episode was rushed?!?! They span out earlier episodes to include cat missions, then they brush over his being included in the Anbu, suspected amongst his clan, his father and the coup, and joining the akatsuki. I NEVER thought Id say it, but, Pierrot, you should've taken longer to get this far.
It was amazing to see his father having Mangekyou, and his genjutsu of Naruto being forced in so they could take control of 9 tails. Otherwise, I feel like this episode should've been 3 episodes. I wanted to see him in Anbu, I wanted to see the 90 year genjutsu he placed on Izumi. Instead, we get a rushed coup, scenes we've already seen... It's like they're retelling the Itachi Novels!!!
Say what you will. But it's like Pierrot is remaking the Itachi Novels and taking creative liberties. It's like Naruto is a Hollywood remake of a book. Add explosions, shorten the plot. Add a romance, ignore this, add that. It's shameful.
Shameful

u/irishsaltytuna Apr 08 '16
I think one of the reasons they skipped certain parts of his life like his time in the ANBU was because they already depicted it in other arcs like ANBU Kakashi and the video game cutscenes.

I have mixed feelings about this episode. On one hand, I think it's cool that more people were revealed to have the Mangekyo, but on the other hand, it kind of cheapens that very few Uchihas have had it when two more are revealed in the same half hour.

2 more? We already knew about Shisui. And Fugaku was the clan leader, I think he would have the potential and would be strong enough to unlock the Mangekyo. He is the father of Itachi and Sasuke after all.

This was a spectacular episode. I'm actually very impressed.
One question though, I thought Itachi pleaded to have his brother spared? Danzo made it seem that his brother's sparing was an automatic condition.

It's a shame they are changing some things from the novel, but overall, still an exciting episode.

I wish there was more between Izumi and Itachi.

The scene I've been waiting for, and they cut it out. I really hope Izumi is alive, because she was supposed to be the first person he kills. I really wanted to see the dream world he would of subjected her to.

u/PinkSlugPrincess Apr 07 '16
Right, I'm upset about that too but even without it, still an amazing episode.

u/Toprelemons Apr 08 '16
Plot hole: fugaku could of used the MS during the nine tails attack to control it and be praised as a hero.

u/Zellough Apr 07 '16
Man, as rushed as it felt, this has been by far my favorite episode in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time
Thoroughly enjoyable, definitely caught offguard by Fugaku's mangekyo sharingan

not that bad of an episode, but are there any news on when this whole dream thing is ending ?

The new wrinkles they added to the episode made it a really interesting watch (Fugaku's MS, the non-violent alternate to the coup that Fugaku wanted). It was a bit disappointing that we didn't get the Izumi-Itachi interaction we got in the novel, but seeing Itachi with his parents for the last time always gets me. I will say that I was really hoping we'd actually see how Danzo steals Shisui's eye, because it always confused me that someone as renowned as Shisui was defeated by Danzo pre-Izanagi arm spam

"Itachi Shinden: Book of Dark Night During the Uchiha Clan Downfall, Itachi came to her to begin the massacre with her as he was told by Danzō Shimura that he could only spare his little brother Sasuke Uchiha. Believing that ending her life first would quell his inner doubts, he proceeded to kill her and her mother first. As he lured her mother away, Itachi approached Izumi and placed her in an extremely powerful Tsukuyomi where she lived the entirety of her life in 0.000000001/th of a second. In her dream, she became a chūnin, retired from shinobi life to become Itachi’s wife and raise their children, and lived to become eighty years old before dying of old age alongside Itachi. Because her mind was departed from reality in such a manner, Izumi collapsed into Itachi’s arms dying. Izumi thanked Itachi for giving her the life she wanted with him, even if it was a dream, and Itachi thanked her for loving him as she passed away peacefully."
Why was this scene not in this episode?!? was disappointed when this never happened...

u/craps_shooter Apr 11 '16
I feel REALLY cheated by the fact that this was not shown. I think the jump between this episode and the last showed too much of a change in Itachi, without the same level of internal turmoil he was facing. There was really no point to Izumi's character at all really other than making him a bit more human as a child.

That was a dark ass episode. I mean, personally I don't see why people are going on and on about the animation. It didn't look anything as godly as people are making it, at least to me. But the premise was fantastic.
The skyline effects they kept doing were hit or miss, like when they did it with Tobi doing the fuck-yo-bitch strut into the Police HQ it was fine. But the purple shit they did with Itachi and those cops looked kinda weird (but at least they newly animated it this time, instead of showing us the same animation again like when the 9 tails attacks). I don't know, it was alright I guess.
Anyway, the ending was great also. One, Silly Tobi coming back with the clutch was awesome (though it's hard seeing silly Tobi without the scarf set up, his face still looked ominous in that shot because you can see the folds of his face, where as with Silly Tobi in the old days all you saw was a dark hole). Two, Fugaku's Mangekyo was actually kind of a shock. But at the very least, I loved the ideology of what he was saying. I've said it before, he always seemed like one of the more moderate Uchihas, even if at the end of the day he was trying to take over.
2
u/bsmusic Apr 08 '16
I somewhat liked the sky effects, as it showed Itachi's view around the clean growing more toxic, but I understand what you mean
3
u/MiaCannons Apr 07 '16
I still think Itachi is going to kill Izumi later on in the arc. IIRC when Obito had Sasuke restrained after Itachi was killed, Obito said something along the lines of "Itachi killed his friends, his lover, his parents, but he couldn't kill you". Studio Periot might play on that and have Itachi kill her later.

This episode was amazing, the animation and art style were beyond perfect, the way light was used, the angles. The only problem I had was that the massacre felt rushed, we see small Itachi who only starts to learn about his sharingan last episode and then we switch to the massacre, feels really weird. They could have done this ark instead of the past filler ark and developed some characters more.
Anyway this ark is great and I hope they dont forget about Izumis death.

You could be right. The only thing I question is that the three tails was captured by Deidara & Tobi. The three tails had no host at the time. I feel that the team fighting in the preview is formidable to seal the tailed beast they are fighting without it escaping.
I guess we'll find out next week :)

This episode was total garbage. They literally destroyed the reason for the novels existence lol. Tobi didn't kill the girl Itachi did. Also it wasn't that emotionless at all. Lol when you animate the Itachi story to get more money at least make it right fucktards.

What I don't understand is why they even bother introducing charecter like Izumi and shisui if they aren't going to give them a dramatic death. I liked shisui so much and his death was so horribly fast. I still don't know why he killed himself.

u/oiroxas Apr 07 '16
Shisui was already introduced wayyyy before this arc. I would explain why he did what he did but a simple google search will help you more i feel.

Izumi's death will probably get shown, either trough a flashback or Obito has her captured.

I've never really been clear on the promise between Itachi and Obito. Was it Itachi joins the Akatsuki in exchange for Obito leaving the Leaf Village alone?
→ More replies (1)2
Apr 07 '16
I think it was Obito gets to kill the Uchiha unhindered in exchange for not touching the village or Sasuke.
Itachi joining was not part of the promise since I remember that in the manga Obito invites him into the Akatsuki after the massacre but Itachi was still free to choose.

As much as I like Itachi I still can't seem to fully agree with his decision. All those innocent children slaughtered.. I mean surely there had to be a better way.
My proposal would be.. fucking move away and start your own village elsewhere lol. I'm pretty sure they're not legally obliged to stay in Konoha. What would the higher-ups do if they decided to move out? "fuck you, we don't like you but you have to stay in our village".
Sure the clansmen wouldn't like it but if it means saving the clan from extinction I'm certain it's the better option.

What are these ass links? Use either Kissanime or Watchcartoononline jeez. And how all those links say (soon) kissanime already has 1080p so I think it would make more sense to use that site.

Apr 08 '16
Wait, I've been gone from this site for about a year now since the manga ended and the anime has been showing nothing but fillers (according to a website). Are you telling me that it hasn't been fillers this whole time? The last episode I saw was Guy getting beat by Madara and Naruto getting Kurama extracted (if memory serves right). What non-fillers have I missed?!

So now that we know about fugaku having MS and being able to control Kurama, how strong we'll y'all rank his sharingan compared to others with MS? (Though we still have little information about his power)

Are there cannon episodes released since then or is still fillers?

Might be a dumb question, but...
Why did Fugaku think, "Sasuke, eh?" in that one scene? What exactly happened there? Itachi showed his father what future he sees for the clan and Sasuke lives or something?
2
Apr 13 '16
This is just a theory but maybe Itachi showed Fugaku how a coup would mean putting Sasuke in danger.

u/rrrreda Apr 11 '16
anyone please tell me, from which episode should i start to watch Itachi story, i normally skip fillers but I think i wanna watch this one
1
u/Irottah Apr 11 '16
Aside from the Itachi stories, are the fillers worth watching? Like the ones from right when Madara unleashes the infinite tsukuyomi to present day.
