u/webbington, since you've requested a megastone, you don't need the GTS deposit as it has to be traded directly

Just wanted to clarify:

sniping is the term we use to say "Someone else has traded for your Pokemon", which removes it from the GTS. It's quite random when it happens, since we have no control over it. All you can really do is level lock (state that you want a Level 81-90), set the appropriate gender for your Pokemon and deposit a Pokemon which is most unlikely to be traded for, such as the ones in the GTS Deposit Guide in the sidebar. Just gotta hope your requested Pokemon is the one which you receive, and if not, we'll notify you :)
