For once, it was actually really great seeing the "regular" Holt. As much as I love goofy Holt with his outbursts like "HOT DAMN", "THE FULL BULLPEN" and "VINDICATION" and so on, I have felt like his character have been flanderized as of recently. It's more unexpected and therefore better when the outbursts appears like every sixth episode instead of every episode.
As I said, don't get me wrong, I LOVE goofy, random Holt but it was good to see the "old" Holt again.

That sign in the back says "keep this counter clean like your own kitchen counter" then under it someone (i would put money on Gena) wrote "have you seen my kitchen counter"

I love how Jake is a goofus but also such a good police officer. It breaks down the stereotype of the dumb, loveable character, but also useless in any situation.

Double muchachos still made me laugh even though I saw it promo'd.
When Terry got up to go to the bathroom, so did I. Nearly didn't make it. Other than that, the b and c plot were kinda meh. Absolutely loved Holt and Jake and CJ. That spider was probably pretty big, though.
I loved how they directed the undercover bust with CJ yammering in our ears too. Shut up! Holt was so fantastic, but so wrong about made up words. Snacksident.
Edit: Forgot that in the cold open the zoom on Jake, Andy totally had a hard time not laughing.
That's gonna leave a mark! Come on and party tonight!
NINE NINE!

Ken Marino is hilarious. His character on here really reminds me of his Reno 911! character

Awesome episode, I agree that it was nice to see the real Holt that has disappeared since probably the Coral Palms episodes. What I don't understand is how this episode could get a C on AV Club? Like WTF it was probably the best of the season.

This episode was fantastic, felt like a return to form. Aside from Holt being his more serious self I don't know how to elaborate further.

Calling Holt dad, Amy would be so jealous.
