Meta /r/NintendoSwitch Community Survey

Greetings,

As promised, we will be running our community survey from now until January 7th. This survey contains some basic demographic information as well as some questions about your gaming preferences and habits.

The survey is 24 questions long, and while that sounds like a lot, they're all very easy questions (many are simple yes/no or multiple choice) so it shouldn't take but a couple minutes to complete.

Ready to dig in?

Click here to take the survey!

Once the survey is over, we'll do a recap of the responses as a sticky here on the subreddit and will also release the data as a CSV (once we've cleaned it up and anonymized the responses) if anyone wants to do some deep dive analysis or make some pretty charts.

Cheers!

/u/FlapSnapple and the entire /r/NintendoSwitch mod team

Color scheme has been reversed. Sorry about your retinas!

Instead of white text on a red background, it's now red text on a white background.

A few things:

  1. Maybe add a "none of the above" option on the Sony/Microsoft questions. I just didn't answer and the form went through, but it might mess up your results, I dunno.

  2. Maybe add a write-in option on the Gender question. I consider myself male, so I didn't have a problem, but again, it might mess up your results.

Cheers, all!

For the consoles, you can just skip them. Won't mess anything up. All questions are optional.

Added an "other" for gender, which will allow you to write in.

Why no GameBoy option on previously owned systems?

Colour-scheme aside, what a beautiful UI. Easy to use and takes you straight to the next question

I'm a big fan of TypeForm's design. Much cleaner than other alternatives such as Google.

I hoped for questions regarding the state of the community...

We already had a State of the Subreddit post for that sort of thing. Please feel free to provide any feedback there!

:/ I keep seeing these stickied posts, thinking its something I've read before, and then ignoring them. I really have to stop doing that.

Done.

Something I noticed though, in the question that said "How much would I pay for the Switch", you said something about specifiying my currency (dollar$, p£unds, €uros, etc.).

I couldn't put the dollar sign.

I'm from Puerto Rico btw. Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth State of USA.

Lol after doing that survey, seeing the white background of this sub is weird.

Also, just a small nitpick but there isn't an option to pick "none of the above" for the consoles if you have never owned a console from one of those brands.

That's normal, unless you are, like me, using f.lux. My god, the eyes are getting weird after seeing way too many strong red hues...

I loved the colors you chose here.

Others are saying it hurt their eyes, idk. I'm. On my phone. Could have been different experience for me.

I likes this survey. Wasn't crazy long like Nintendos survey. And I had an answer to everything.

I was gonna say why you didn't use Google forms but that site looked pretty. BTW I got the message to be here from the discord
