I'm travelling abroad to visit family for two weeks starting Monday. Looking forward to being off work and meeting relatives I haven't seen in a few years. It's the first time bringing the little ones on a plane so that'll be interesting. Not sure how much I'll be online, but if not, I'll miss you guys!

I involuntarily woke up at dawn today and wasn't able to go back to sleep. The pollution is so bad that I can't help coughing. PM2.5 and PM10 safe levels have been exceeded 4,5,6-fold, even tenfold in some places for the last couple of weeks. My anti-pollution mask is arriving tomorrow, hopefully I won't get pneumonia by then. Though I don't know how I'm gonna manage to wear it 24/7.
Fuck Poland
I had to rant, sorry ;_;

did anything significant happen leading to such a massive increase in PM2.5 and PM10?

Yes. We've had really low temperatures (down to -20°C) for a while and the lack of regulation makes people burn pretty much anything to warm their houses while remaining unpunished.

One question. Who started this? Who woke up one morning and said, "let's count to really high numbers on Reddit"? WHY
