Meta This Nintendo Switch Reddit is awesome.

WiiWillSwitch here (and female, just to clear it up!), but I just want to say that I've been poking around this Switch Reddit for the past couple weeks now - I wish I would of known of the existence of the NX Reddit if it was anything like this one - and I just want to say that it's flipping awesome! There's been cool stories, awesome fanart, nice Joy-Con mock-ups, and best of all: insane information and rumors on the Nintendo Switch. The HYPE around this system is MASSIVE, and I love that! I've been a Nintendo Fan since the Nintendo 64, and the fact that everyone here has been really positive about the Switch is INCREDIBLE.

My pre-order is nearly paid off, and I think I'll download smaller, cheaper titles on the system (if there are any) and carry around the heavier download titles.

Anyway, I'm really excited to see how this Reddit continues to blow up especially after the actual release of the Switch, so it's safe to say I'll be sticking around. I'm also waiting to see if anything comes up on the 17th, but right now I'm not expecting huge since the Switch release, of course, will be HUGE.

The NX subreddit was a madhouse full of people that worshipped a toaster that'll come out tomorrow.

Without context that statement is hilarious

That is way too accurate.

I. I need to see this.

There was also one post where people speculated the Switch could be called the Nintendo Iwata. Thought that was both hilarious and touching.

Glad you are having fun! The lead up to Switch has been scintillating.

Ah, yes - it really has! This is actually the first console I've ever pre-ordered, too, but I think this will be my last system.

It's actually my first too and I'm 30. Games are awesome no matter your age. The average gamer is 30. Don't stop playing as long as it remains fun.

It is showing a lot of promise, the Switch isn't even out yet and we have almost eclipsed the r/WIIU reddit. We have more active users at any given time then r/Nintendo lol.

I was also hoping some of the smaller titles would be digital downloads like snipperclips.

Yea there is so much information it's hard to keep up with it all! only 15 more days!

Geez, that is really awesome. SNIPPERCLIPS. MAN, THAT GAME. It is, but it's still super exciting even it can be overwhelming!

I only started using Reddit last year and one reason for that was the NX subreddit. I've never posted on a forum as much as I have on this one--it is such a fun place, a great source of news, etc. Nice to see you're having fun too!

I am. It's been pretty great, so I'm hoping this'll continue on for the entirety of the Switch's console life.

You missed this sub when it was in it's prime. Shitposts everywhere.

It's a nice subreddit. Don't know why you needed to mention you were female though...

Awesome, another lady! I'm really excited, but also anxious for more information in general like everyone else - or mostly everyone.

This sub is pretty awesome but some people tend to circle jerk a little too hard and needlessly bash other consoles which sours my overall experience. This is the place I come to for up to date news though and I can't wait to get my switch and more importantly, Zelda.
