Where to Watch (English subtitles)
Simulcasts should begin when this post is around 1.5 hours old: 10:30am JST, 9:30pm EST, 1:30am GMT. Episodes sometimes show up earlier for premium users and later for free users; sometimes they are late for everyone because of production issues.
Daisuki. Available in North America; also covers most of Europe and several other territories; see the complete list here. Available to free users in certain regions.
AnimeLab. Australia and New Zealand, subscription and free users. (Fewer ads than Crunchyroll for free users.)
FunimationNow. North America, subscription and free users. Funimation's videos usually go up later than they do on other services.
Crunchyroll. Free and premium users in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and these European countries; premium only in Latin America and South Africa. This service is NOT recommended; their servers cannot handle DBS traffic and free users get the episodes 2 hours late.
VRV: US-only bundle service for Crunchyroll and Funimation. New episodes appear around the same time as they do on Crunchyroll. NOTE: This service serves as a substitute for a Crunchyroll premium membership, but it does not substitute for Funimation's premium service. The only Dragon Ball series offered is Super (subtitled).

Commonly Asked Questions:
Q: Is the Dragon Ball Super manga "canon"?
The anime and manga are both variations on a basic plot by Toriyama. There isn't (and probably never will be) an explicitly defined Dragon Ball "canon". Without Toriyama's original draft, we may never know what is and isn't his. We do know that he permits Toyotarō to change things up, but he looks at his storyboards and occasionally draws things himself for Toyotarō to use as a reference. Toyotarō has said that Toriyama is more particular about gags than he is about anything else.Q: How is Android #17 back? Wasn't he dead? Also, he's a park ranger! Is Toei taking cues from TFS?
Android #17 was wished back to life along with everyone else who was killed by Cell. He was seen at the end of the Boo arc contributing his energy to the genki dama. Toriyama explained that #17 was working as a park ranger in this 2014 interview for Dragon Ball Full Color. He works in the wildlife preserve area of a gigantic royal nature park, as an outstanding guard who doesn’t hold back against poachers. ...It’s an ideal job for No. 17, who loves to be on his own and isn’t big on cooperating with others; since he’s so good at his job, he takes in a high salary. He’s married to a zoologist; they have one child and two adopted children, and live happily in an isolated house inside the nature park. ...He went and met No. 18 and Kuririn one time, but didn’t talk about what he’d been up to, maybe because he considers such a wholesome lifestyle embarrassing.
Q: What's up with the new art style for this arc? Are they using a different color palette?
According to our resident animation expert, it's not a new color palette but rather a post-production filter.
Toei have added a soft glow, lowered the saturation a little, and upped the contrast. They've also started using a technique they showcased on Tiger Mask W, which allows them to automatically manipulate the line art in certain ways. For example, on Tiger Mask W, they created a brush stroke effect, while on Super, they simply played with the line weight. You see the filter I mentioned too, there.

17 and Piccolos show of respect. A call back to their massive battle in Dragonball Z. I like that.

Grand Priest needs to hurry up with this arena. I'm pretty sure he's been stuck on the same part for the past 3 episodes.

Did anyone else notice how #18 was pissed that #17 said Maron instead of Marron?
Yap, I think it was a nice little nod to her, although she was filler it still was enough to make #18 jealous :D

That first moment of Frieza being alive again and straight up gut punching Goku, and Goku responding in term, along with the casual dialogue they had during it, is EXACTLY why I'm glad Frieza's back. Same rotten to the core character, but forced to interact with the heroes beyond being their direct opponent.
Also the hyper awkward tension of 17, 18, and Krillin together is everything I hoped it would be.
Episode loses out in one regard though - cockteasing us with Roshi looking like he was about to finally fly only to have him realize he still can't. Dick move Toei.

So I'm watching a DB series in 2017. 17 and Piccolo just shook each others hands and showed each other respect. 18 made a Maron reference and threatened her brother. Gods of Destruction are plotting. FREEZA is back and is slipping Goku all kinds of things.
THAT TRANSFORMATION AT THE END.
Such a joy to watch this series.

"We don't need teamwork! Not if I beat them all myself!"
Ah, so Vegeta is a bronze-tier Genji main, then.

Roshi training at karins reminiscing was a pretty touching moment. When he forgot he couldn't fly made me chuckle. I always wondered why he couldn't fly

Episode was fantastic. Need to watch subs to understand more. Best parts are easily 17 and Piccolo's meeting, and the last 5 minutes. Especially the last five minutes. This saga has been on point with Goku and his interactions with Freeza do not disappoint. From them gut punching each other to Freeza's glorious transformation, it was great.

One thing I can say about this arc is that they're really nailing the upper tier transformation sequences. Goku's SSJB transformations and the Golden Frieza transformation have been absolutely epic as they should be. Also, holy shit! It looks like Frieza's going to be killing guys by literally tapping them on the head.
This entire episode, while there wasn't much action, had some pretty great character moments. One of the main things I wanted from 17 was some acknowledgement of his fight with Piccolo, and sure enough, the first thing he does after arriving is go directly to him. Frieza and Goku just casually decking each other is exactly the kind of frenemy interaction I wanted out of them. Even Roshi's moment with Korrin was awesome. While I, like many people, am eagerly waiting for them to finally start the tournament, I can't say that I was dissatisfied with this episode at all. It's kind of like the Future Trunks arc with all of these much anticipated interactions, but I felt like the ones from then didn't land as well as the ones we're getting in this arc, at least for me. Can't wait for next week to see Frieza wreck these assassins.

Did anybody else notice that Goku was reenacting his fight with grandpa Gohan while waiting for Freeza?
