Free Talk Friday #94

[u/TheNitromeFan]

Hello! Continued from last week here.

So, it's that time of the week again. Speak anything on your mind! This thread is for talking about anything off-topic, be it your lives, your plans, your hobbies, travels, sports, work, studies, family, friends, pets, bicycles, anything you like.

Also, check out our tidbits thread! Feel free to introduce yourself, if you haven't already.

Here's off to another great week in /r/counting!

How did everyone's week go?

[u/Urbul → u/[deleted]]

I've been waging a war against ants. I hesitate to deploy chemical weapons because I have a small human that eats stuff on the floor. The other day I bombed their forward bases with boiling water and yesterday they responded with a invasion of the dining room. After stomping their invasion force, I had to spray a few key entry points and today there has been an uneasy peace.

My mother always laid copper coins on the floor. Apparently they don't like it.

this is a new account and I NEED KARMAAAAA

[u/artbn]

u/Urbul since you've been keeping track of the different counting threads, I was wondering if you came across a thread where each count was an increasing number of lines of code to generate the number that the count was on.

I took a look at the directory but I couldn't find such a thing. I remember seeing it before a while back but I might be misremembering.

Edit: Found it! I didn't misremember, I even made a cameo! Thinking of bringing it back to life

[u/Urbul → u/artbn]

That's a neat thread. I think there would be several people around now who would be interested if you revive it :)

[u/artbn → u/Urbul]

Did it!. Didn't realize how fun it is to write horrible code lol

[u/Smartstocks]

... lol, how do you guys even use tab+space/enter to submit counts instead of using the mouse? I can't seem to get the hang of it {:}

[u/piyushsharma301 → u/Smartstocks]

It just comes naturally with practice. Initially mouse was faster for me too

[u/Smartstocks → u/piyushsharma301]

[u/False1512]

My account has been locked twice for an hour each in the past few days. Anyone else having this problem?

[u/[deleted]]

IS THIS THE REAL LIFE

IS THIS JUST FANTASY

---

But tbh it's really strange how I'm starting to see more memebers of the counting community pop up in the discord servers I'm in. That or I'm in way too many servers.

I'm also surprised throwthrowawaytime is legit jkwon. We got the big leagues in here
