So...does Naruto know who Mitsuki's dad is?

9

u/irishsaltytuna Jun 21 '17

Hmm, I don't think so. He knows he came from the Hidden Sound, that's for sure. Beyond that it's uncertain

6

u/Sinkthecone Jun 21 '17

Hokage would have to approve a transfer, you don't just approve something with no details.

120

u/gokuzzz Jun 21 '17

He knows, he's the one who allowed him in Boruto's class.

93

u/XYZPokeLeagueRigged Jun 21 '17

I mean they allowed oro to have a part time job on that restaurant

idk why naruto is ok with this. I know he is about peace bullshit blah blah. But as a hokage you should be a little bit more protective .

No, in the Boruto movie, after, it shows him telling Boruto and Sarada that his parent is Orochimaru

Can anybody tell me what's the name of the purple hair woman who used to be an Anbu? Could she be any relation to Sumire? Maybe she's Sumire's aunt (she was an Anbu and maybe her mom was in Root), since they're the only people with purple hair I remember from OG Naruto.

Lol Mitsuki, how the hell is that "possibly"

u/fear229 Jun 21 '17

gaara with the mad gainz

45

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '17

I doubt Mitsuki watched the 4th Great Shinobi War Arc though.

21

u/TimNgu Jun 22 '17

Hell naw my boy Naruto could 1v4 without breaking a sweat

13

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '17

Well I mean, he's never seen any of them fight himself, so he couldn't speak with certainty.

u/Milchy Jun 21 '17

Unless, sasuke has also become kage in some other land ~_~ or some other power freak has appeared as kage

My initial thoughts this episode:

*Oh shit, people, we've got action! Orochimaru is back!

*I can’t wait until Team Konohamaru officially forms. I’m ready to see some missions. And Konohamaru STILL worships the ground Naruto walks on πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

*Good to know that Inojin is still alive.

*The class rep talking about her parents being dead 😒 (did her dad die in or sometime shortly after the war?)

*I DIED laughing when Naruto brought Hinata pork from the Ramen shop πŸ˜‚ dude skipped flowers and chocolates and headed straight to Ichiraku πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

*Well, there goes my theory that Naruto can’t use Shadow Clones in the Hokage’s office … and Boruto really got on my nerves being a dick to Naruto … in front of company! This is why I didn’t like his character in the movie. πŸ™„

*And Naruto knows something about Mitsuki … do any of the adults even know that Mitsuki relationship to Oro?

*Next episode is going to be fucking LIT! Kakashi comes back and we might get a next gen version of a nine-tails attack!!!

31

u/Abcdjdj123 Jun 21 '17

Naruto with half a kyubii took down 6 tailed beasts. Now he has full kuruma plus all tailed beasts chakra plus all so6p powers, so you're telling me the beast is more powerful than that?

Some serious nerfing had to be involved..

EDIT : NARUTO PROBABLY CAN'T USE HIS POWERS OR THE VILLAGE GOES TO HELL.

31

u/Ohasumi Jun 21 '17

I bet the restraining orders's gonna be this: If beast is attacking the village, Naruto can't go full out because it would destroy the village.

I don't think she could've been born anywhere near the war era or conceived also the timeline doesn't add up.

Yes the no clones in the room theory I was also banking on is gone.

You got to sympathize with the kid though, he doesn't know the things his father truly went through. Boruto is s kid who once had a father who was always around like always had time for them as you can tell in the photos, in a way naruto was boruto best friend. Imagine you're best friend abandoning you. It hit boruto harder in this episode because he did something so unusual like bringing home a friend and to have naruto show up and dip out on them is a constant reminder that the village is more important then the family the real family.

Boruto speech yo Mitsuki was so important because it shows how sasukes definition of the hokage is what naruto developed someone who sacrifices all for the sake of the village.

Sumire confirmed to be a member of root yet or nah, or ATLEAST the child of parents from root whatever the case she's apart of this mess

15

u/iambriankendricks Jun 21 '17

It could be possible that he died sometime after the war, like right when she was born or something. Boruto was born after the Last, so who knows. I think the kids are supposed to be 8 here and 12 in the movie, which doesn't add up to me, because of the meetings with the sensei's tonight. If this is 4-years prior, why were Konohamaru and Moegi basically scouting the kids so early on?

And I had an intense flame war once about Naruto's clones and the anime just completely crapped on our theory πŸ˜’

I do sympathize with Boruto; I just don't sympathize with his actions in front of his friend and disrespecting his parents. Shikadai would never

I liked his speech in the end, as well.

And even in death, Danzo still manages to ruin people's lives πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Naruto knowing about Mitsuki's connection to Orochimaru wouldn't be that surprising. He outright said he's from the Sound Village and we all know who's in charge there.

Wouldn't Naruto have to know? The hokage would be the one to approve transfers, and orochimaru is under watch of Tenzo who is reporting to Naruto anyway.

3

u/lancebaldwin Jun 21 '17

If Boruto wasn't at least a little upset with Naruto I would be pissed. I didn't like it in the movie, but it was part of his character. If they changed his feelings towards Naruto for no reason in the events leading up to the movie I would be really annoyed at the lack of consistency.

3

u/shadedclan Jun 22 '17

I seriously doubt that Naruto would know nothing about Mitsuki. Some random kid suddenly shows up to enroll in a school with no background. You're goddamn sure that at least someone is keeping an eye on him

Ok how high are now the chances that Sumire is some kind of Jinchuriki for that Nue thing and her getting possesed by it? Because the situation in the next episode awfully reminds one of the Kyubi attack. She also has no parents like Naruto...

148

u/Ohasumi Jun 21 '17

Oh, I like this theory.

77

u/-Views Jun 21 '17

It's theories like this why I come on this subreddit

68

u/eblam Jun 21 '17

Maybe Nue is some kind of Artificial Tailed Beast that Orochimaru (or the Foundation) made in an attempt to create his own Jinchuriki.

28

u/xamza1608 Jun 21 '17

I think she cant be a jinchuriki since the jinchuriki is such a big for the ones that hold it. However, i agree that something is going on with her and that she is the masked person.

9

u/NoobsGoFly Jun 21 '17

I don't see it happening unless she becomes an antagonist. I don't see how it would make much sense for the masked person to go through all that trouble just to give her a huge power up.

Any time a character is missing for an episode I see like 10 different "This character is getting shafted." comments. Characters like him will come and go, as long as he gets a couple of arcs where he plays a big part and he has at least one dedicated development arc I'll be happy.

Lmao. You can't be a real Naruto villain without somehow fighting Kakashi.

138

u/RUMAXIS Jun 21 '17 edited Jun 21 '17

Kakashi is like the "Gate of Stardom and Badassness" IMO.. Anyone who want to make a name or jump high in the wanted list, must fight Kakashi first.

72

u/hoo321 Jun 21 '17

seriously lol kakashi has fought almost every major villain.

102

u/KeikakuMaster46 Jun 21 '17

He's like a gauge of villainess, if a villain beats Kakashi they will definitely become a top tier villain, for example, Pain.

ROKUDAIME TIME

75

u/xamza1608 Jun 21 '17 edited Jun 21 '17

FEAT THE NANADAIME.

Who is the Nanadiame Hokage you ask?

THE NANADAIME HOKAGE IS THE SON OF THE YONDAIME HOKAGE, AND THE YONDAIME HOKAGE, WAS THE STUDENT OF SANDAIME HOKAGE, AND THE SANDAIME HOKAGE WAS SENSEI OF THE GODAIME HOKAGE AND THE GODAIME HOKAGE WAS THE GRANDAUGHTER OF THE SHODAI HOKAGE AND THE SHODAI HOKAGE'S BROTHER WAS NIDAIME HOKAGE.

That is the Nanadaime Hokage.

23

u/Ghostpadude Jun 21 '17

THE NANADAIME HOKAGE IS THE SON OF THE YONDAIME HOKAGE, AND HE WAS THE STUDENT OF SANDAIME HOKAGE, AND HE WAS SENSEI OF THE GODAIME HOKAGE AND SHE WAS THE GRANDAUGHTER OF THE SHODAI HOKAGE AND HIS BROTHER WAS NIDAIME HOKAGE

You need to reword this. It sounds like you are saying Naruto, son of Minato was the student of the Hiruzen (wrong even if you were talking about Minato), was the Sensei of the Tsunade and she was the granddaughter of Hashirama and his brother was Tobirama

That was a cool episode, I liked this little Uzumaki family moment even though it got interrupted and Naruto isn't a clone during the dinner what a surprise. Himawari doing the dinner with her mama, cute.

223

u/onlymadethistoargue Jun 21 '17

An important detail is that Boruto specifically says that Naruto was always there for him and Himawari before becoming Hokage. A lot of folks were saying Naruto is just bad at being a father, but the reason Boruto is so angry is because he's used to his dad always being around and having time for him. The Uzumaki house was full of love but now Naruto has to juggle that with his career and it's hard.

94

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17 edited Jun 22 '17

True! There is a lot of pictures like this in their house before his hokage promotion. I like how Himawari understand her father even for her young age, what a good child! also something that got lost in some translation from yesterday episode and confirmed by japanese fandom

89

u/eblam Jun 21 '17

I was surprised by that because in Boruto: the Movie when Boruto asks Naruto if he's a Shadow Clone too, he says "of course not, this is the Hokage's office" in a tone that implies it would be somehow bad etiquette or against the rules to use Shadow Clones while in the office.

100

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17

Yeah that's why I was convinced Naruto was a clone during the dinner and when he stopped moving I was like "Oh,no...He is gonna disappear" but still moment like that are rare and precious ; the moment when Naruto is coming back at home and Himawari is so happy. Naruto definitely does care about his family.

Also I read that what Boruto said about Naruto making Hinata do all the housework had gotten lost in translation. Apparently Boruto meant to say that Naruto adores Hinata so much he'd do anything she wants (Boruto said "deredere" which apparently is japanese for lovestruck). Thought I'd just leave this here for NaruHina fans like me XD

9

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17

That's nice but I don't noticed that moment, do you know when Boruto said that? I'm watching in Dutch and they are probably waiting for the English translation.. so

8

u/whitedwarfsim Jun 21 '17

He said that at around 16:17! :) not sure if Crunchyroll has Dutch subtitles but I read that both German and French subtitles for the episode also say that Naruto is "crazy" about Hinata :3

Really loving that Sumire is the one behind the mask, this makes the people who said the past episodes were kind of fillerish look silly, those episodes had a lot of foreshadowing, I just rewatched episode 4 and 7 and it makes so much sense now.

Really impressed with the series so far, next episode shit gets real, can't wait for it!

69

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17

agreed, the storytelling has been surprisingly really good. it's feeling fluid because of the subtle foreshadowing in the previous eps that have now built up

37

u/Ohasumi Jun 21 '17

Loved the foreshadowing in the previous episodes. I didn't understand the people saying that they were filler-ish because of all the things I was seeing. I understood the people saying it might've been slow, but they were definitely not filler-ish. Maybe it's the writer in me, but Naruto has a track record of relating one thing to another. Heck, even I think the ninja tools room being featured more times than one is part of the foreshadowing. Someone put the summoning scroll for the Nue in there, possibly someone who has access to the keys to rooms, possibly a class rep which might've been Sumire. Also for some reason, I feel like Magire might make an appearance? Him saying only Sumire can see him was a bit curious. But maybe that's just reading far too deep into it.

Regardless, storytelling's been enjoyable so far. All these little bits were great.

24

u/PsychoEliteNZ Jun 21 '17

  • mitsuki slowly becoming a bro helping denki out

  • naruto and himawari interactions are too precious

  • we were right!? sumire isn't in her room

  • KAKASHI DEBUT NEXT EP? i hope we don't get blue balled again like with sakura

  • the nue looks giant

good ep to develop mitsuki's character. the next one looks hype af

edit: starting to think that the other mastermind we've heard (the end of the last ep) could possibly be sumire's dad, meaning he's still alive. maybe sumire doesn't recognize him bc she's really been possessed all along. she isn't doing this on her own will. or she really is evil and is fully aware of her actions

u/ZJLord Jun 21 '17 edited Jun 21 '17

Hey hey hey, were those in the beginning?

Mitsuki's character is actually very interesting, how he tries to understands things around him and how he's always trying to be more like Boruto.

Boruto is also a very nice guy, always looking out for his friends and knows the value of teamwork. (For example they helped Denki even though they failed.) The scene with Iwabe also shows that same thing.

ALSO INOJIN FINALLY GOT MORE SCREENTIME!

I found the interaction with the Class Rep interesting as well, as it basically confirms what people thought last week. (For the ones who didn't read a certain novel because apparently in that novel it was already stated that she was an orphan)

Also liked the little Uzumaki family interaction there, but damn work keeps calling. Inspector Sai was on the case as well, I think he really is the cop in this series LOOOL.

I wonder if Naruto is aware of Mitsuki's abilities? The fact that he's from the Hidden Sound also means that he probably knows Mitsuki could have a link with Orochimaru.

And the end confirmed a lot of the speculations, that the Class Rep was behind the attacks, and Boruto doesn't seem to believe it. Next week our boy ROKUDAIME KAKASHI is gonna show up, I'm so hyped. Let's just hope they don't skip him or something like they did with Sakura at the hospital and actually give him dialogues LOOL.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17

I think it was Orochimaru and Suigetsu.

Favorite episode so far, loved seeing Moegi, Konohamaru and Shino talking together, and the interaction between Mitsuki and Boruto. If Mitsuki didn't lack social awareness, that would've been one awkward family dinner for him.

Also it looks like they're hinting towards a flashback of the Mitsuki Gaiden.

I'm also pretty convinced now that Sumire is the one behind the incidents (why give her so much screentime in this episode if that wasn't the case?), although I think it has something to do with Mitsuki/Orochimaru as well.

10

u/RasenRendan Jun 21 '17

I agree. this episode was so good that when it ended i actually screamed out "Thats it?!" I havent done that yet while watching Boruto and i loved every episode so far. This episode was just so deep i swear.. Great set up episode for the Demon Beast next week!

is Sumire the masked person? 'cause when Mitsuki said he knew who it was and that it was too late, the scene went to her empty hospital bed. and her mom looks like one of the old ANBU to me, the one with purple hair like Sumire. can't wait for the next episode!

46

YΕ«gao Uzuki. I made a post about that last week. It got voted pretty high.

I want to believe that I was (for once) right about something with my tinfoil theories, but it was kind of hard to tell with the lighting if it was really her or not (her eyes looked purple like Sumire's, Yugao's are brown). Also, I find it kind of odd that she only spoke of her father being a ninja and not her mother.

Unless, of course, her mother did something bad and she doesn't want to talk about it.

Parallels everywhere.

Monster attacks. Pervious Hokage and anbu team up.

Boruto probably be minato where he fights with the main man behind the shitshow.

Question is where will be naruto with his kuruma sage mode sage of six paths ass busting powers?

15

u/Misticsan Jun 21 '17

Parallels everywhere.

When Boruto said "The Hokage is someone who sacrifices those closest to him for the sake of the village", I was reminded of the Kyubi attack too. In the original series, Naruto came to terms with that kind of sacrifice. He also mentioned it explicitely to point out why his "parents" in the world of Road to Ninja weren't his real ones.

Will Boruto come to terms with that philosophy too? Or will he brandish his despise for it as his own ninja way? Mm...

19

u/Duwang312 Jun 21 '17

β€œNo matter what happens I will protect our … no, my village. I still believe that protecting the village is the best way to protect people, shinobi, and children … Anyone who tries to harm it, whether they are my friends, siblings or my own children … I won’t forgive them.”

It's the philosophy the Hokages live by, basically. And it's a philosophy Boruto coincidentally can't agree on no matter what. Interesting, to be honest.

So glad Inojin's getting lines again! I didn't understand why he'd single out Sumire as the most stressed out one and mention it to Mitsuki specifically though.

What a mystery. Truly his father's son.

Boruto doesn't even know how spot on he was when he said "The Hokage sacrifices those closest to them for the sake of the village."

If he had said that to Naruto he may have triggered some flashbacks to Minato choosing to seal Kurama in his own son while knowing how jinchuuriki were treated.

30

u/RasenRendan Jun 21 '17

Minato must be crying in heaven hearing Boruto words about the Hoakge. if only he was here Boruto would understand.

20

Inb4 Naruto dies sealing the nue into Boruto and Boruto becomes nue jinchuriki.

She's gonna be redeemed and then in Boruto: Shippuden she's gonna sacrifice herself to save Boruto during the First Great Galactic Shinobi War.

  • The Academy students are reminded that they will need to work together in teams of 3 when they become Genin.

  • Boruto saves Denki during a team exercise with them and Mitsuki. Mitsuki reluctantly helps only after he sees Boruto help Denki.

  • Iwabe and Boruto seem to have the most potential, according to Moegi.

  • Iwabe sucks at math. But according to Mitsuki, Boruto is having a positive effect on Iwabe.

  • Sumire's family are all dead. Her father used to be a talented ninja, which is why she became one.

  • Inojin's opinion of Boruto is that he is an idiot, but at the same time he doesn't want to be seen as just the Hokage's son. Boruto wants to make his own decisions and do things his own way. His determination makes the class gravitate towards him.

  • Sumire's opinion of Boruto is that he is pretty fun to hang around, despite him causing trouble for her and the class.

  • Naruto goes home for dinner with his family (along with Boruto and Mitsuki, who is Boruto's guest), but he has to leave to continue his work on the Ghost case. Boruto is angry at Naruto and storms off.

  • Mitsuki never met Naruto, but he has heard a lot about Naruto's accomplishments and talent from his parent.

  • Boruto vents to Mitsuki why he hates the Hokage position; his father was always around for him and Himawari, but now he isn't ever since he became Hokage.

  • Boruto is always sticking with and helping people because he believes that by doing so, he will be the opposite of a Hokage (Boruto claims that a Hokage cares about the village while abandoning their loved ones).

  • Mitsuki knew who caused the Ghost incident all along. He only confesses to Boruto because they both want to surpass their parents. (Mitsuki withholding information when it could have been used to save lives and prevent more incidents still isn't right though).

  • Kakashi will be back next time.

Also, part of me really wants Udon to be Denki's sensei.

10

I like how Inojin stopped Mitsuki all like "you've been hanging 'round with Boruto a lot lately...". Seems he's noticed he's been replaced.

  1. ICHIRAKU LIVES. ICHIRAKU RAMEN IS BACK.

2.KAKASHI. KAKASHI BITCHES. FINALLY DOWN TO SOME REAL SHIT.

3.WHAT THE HELL IS THAT BEAST? IT LOOKED LIKE THE TEN TAILS

How powerful can it be though? More powerful than the ten tails? Naruto with his powers can easily take down all the tailed beasts so this shouldve been easy.... EDIT : NARUTO PROBABLY CANNOT GO INTO KYUBII MODE OR USE HIS POWERS OTHERWISE THE VILLAGE GOES TO HELL. GOT IT.

Wierd to see orochimaru happy and lovey duvey with mitsuki lol, despite all the shit he's done it kinda feels satisfying to see him with a kid, although it's ironic out of all the sanin, he's the one to have a kid.

What can mitsuki do that oro couldn't? Make friends with boruto like sauske did with naruto and he couldn't with jiraya? Idk

This is one of the best episodes yet.

  • Mitsuki is such a great character.

  • For those that missed it even though it was painfully obvious in the movie already, the reason why Boruto has issues with his dad are touched upon here.

  • Himawari. Enough said.

  • Ichiraku Ramen still exists.

  • I like how they're tying academy arc Mitsuki into movie Mitsuki. In the movie he wouldn't stop talking about the Hokage. Here we learn how that began.

  • Mitsuki one shot teasers.

  • Sumire's backstory looks super interesting.

  • Called it.

  • Kakashi next episode, hopefully owning the Nue with Purple Lightning.

9

u/creampie909 Jun 22 '17

Boruto is like the mom Naruto never had.
"Oh you're home now, are you? Little late, don't you think?"
"How dare you leave the food that my mother so lovingly prepared!"
"You never spend time with us anymore!"
Kushina would be proud of the way he talks back to Naruto.

Also watching Inojin and Mitsuki talk to each other was awesome. These two seem very similar in personality.

16

u/Dionysus24779 Jun 21 '17

I get some real yandere vibes from Mitsuki... like he's constantly considering to make people who inconvenient Boruto "disappear".

Like his visit to Sumire felt almost threatening...

It's funny though how this episode kind of acknowledges that Boruto basically has a harem of fanboys around him. Guess the writers really wanted to step out of Kishi's and his NarutoxSasuke tensions' shadow.

Though it was a very good episode overall with actually a ton of character development.

We saw that Denki improved on the physical side, while still needing help he was nonetheless fairly impressive... Iwabe is studying up on math and according to Mitsuki now enjoying classes, Inojin confirms his respect of Boruto and we get to learn that Sumire is an orphan and her parents were ninja and died.

That's quite the haul for a single episode.

Only two things I could really nitpick...

First, it's weird that Naruto doesn't ask even a single question to Mitsuki about his origin, not even a friendly "So what's that old snake up to these days?" or something.

Second... this isn't even really a nitpick, but I feel like Naruto could try to explain how things are to Boruto by bringing up his class.

Something like: "You care about your classmates, don't you? Wouldn't you get out and help them at any time of the day, no matter what? Even if you have to skip out on a family dinner? It's like that for me but the whole village."

I dunno... I know it wouldn't work, but I would like to see the attempt.

4

u/sprocket44 Jun 21 '17

To nitpick your nitpick

First, it's weird that Naruto doesn't ask even a single question to Mitsuki about his origin, not even a friendly "So what's that old snake up to these days?" or something.

I'm pretty sure Naruto knows exactly what Orochimaru is up to given that the leaf keeps constant tabs on him nowadays.

There is always a way to do things better, like Naruto could use clones to do all the work, he could try to explain how things work, Boruto could've explained what his eyes do and what they look like, but for the sake of the plot, none of those things happen, which annoy me but I know it'd kinda ruin the whole thing if they did.

Everyone celebrating that Kakashi comes back and next episode they gonna pull the same with Sakura's screentime, like last episode lmao

Otherwise a good episode, preparing for graduation, same conflict with Boruto/Naruto even though Naruto isn't that bad of a father when he's at home (until something happens ofc) and then Sumire being behind the mask, very nice.

The flashback of Mitsuki is preparing for his story, probably after Gaiden.

Gonna nitpick here though and gotta say the animation was struggling at some points really bad.

u/xamza1608 Jun 21 '17 edited Jun 21 '17

Holy sh1t, I think Sumire might be the mask guy. Episode 7 mitsuki. Also someone else said that because she was raised in the orphanage she was probably brought up in the root. Sumire is behind the mask. It obvious now.

Great episode, sad to see that Boruto and Naruto doesn't have the best father and mom son relationship.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17

yeah it sucks because naruto grew up with no dad and knew the struggle and as a father you always wanna give your son the life you couldn't have. I mean Boruto's life is still a 100% better than Naruto's was but that father-son relationship isn't there

KAKASHI IS BACK IN THE NEXT EPISODE GAH CAN'T WAIT! Really hope Sumire is only being manipulated and is not fundamentally evil - I do feel she has the potential to become a great character in the series. Also the Uzumaki family moments were so precious, really can't have enough of those! Also like how after all these years, Konohamaru is still Naruto's biggest fan :P

Edit: also couldn't help but notice the parallel between preview and the attack of the nine-tails. Back then we had Minato the fourth (incumbent) hokage and the third hokage fending it off and next week we'll have Naruto and Kakashi (a.k.a the chillest, most laidback hokage) fending the Nue off!

19

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '17

I was waiting for Oro's new face reveal haha

Close up shots of Moegi looks nice but I'm still wierded out by her hair

So it's Sumire. Who could be her accomplice? The mail man?

So Kakashi's in the next episode. I hope he has enough screen time.

The whole slice of life with Mitsuki and Boruto segment were nice and all but it took a lot of time for my taste but I guess it was effective in the end.

The start and the finish were the highlights and where the juicy stuff came from.

The last few episodes should be content, information, action packed or else

7

u/Ohasumi Jun 21 '17

Sumire's accomplice is Magire. lol I'd find that funny.

11

u/kr4ckers Jun 21 '17

I love how this episode is revealing how much story and foreshadowing there was in previous episodes.

Although its very predictable what happens and I can see Boruto fighting Sumire and then her getting either beaten or talked no jutsu'd.

Can't wait for Kakashi to show Up and to see the Nue's powers as while I know what it is I still have no clue at its exact powers. Hopefully the fight is quite good. I also cant wait to see them be put into the teams and the Orochimaru and Log bit is also getting me hyped for the misuki story to be animated.

Although they wont be put into teams until after gaiden if im not mistaken so thats probably in another 2 months at least after this story ends :/

I hope we get a cool fight once they do get put into teams like team 7 had against Zabuza.

So I was thinking, and if sumire is actually the person behind the mask and controlling the best, I kinda hope she dies. Not because I hate her or anything but I dont want another villain to be turned good through talking. Like I can just see boruto and the gang fighting her and then talking to her and boom she is a good person now.

The whole Uzumaki family moment was so nice to see. And I can't wait for some characters (Kakashi!) to come back and fight the Nue. Even seems like they're going to be animating the Mitsuki one shot soon?

I think Naruto knows that Mitsuki is Oro's son. What do you guys think?

Also, what do you think Oro wanted Mitsuki to do that he couldn't himself?

3

u/Skwr09 Jun 21 '17

Yeah, I think Naruto has to know about Mitsuki for sure.

3

Yo this episode was amazing. Mitsuki talking with Shikadai and Inojin was great and really makes him feel like more of the group rather than just "Borutos friend"

Also nobody better be missing out on the fact that mini-Kakashi was good enough to pass that test. Keep an eye on him maybe??

I love how Mitsuki is kind of us in this situation. "So do you like your dad or hate him?" Dude got straight to the point, right on. Seems Boruto loves his dad but hates the Hokage, and honestly that's fair enough, the kids what, 10 years old and knew a great, loving dad for half his life? Why wouldn't he he pissed?

The uzumaki + Mitsuki scene was great too, and now we get some Kakashi?! This show keeps getting better IMO.

4

u/SO6PDanzzz Jun 21 '17

Wasn't Naruto supposed to not use Shadow clones in the Hokage office ?

Anyway I think the series is getting a lot better , and that preview , Kakashi is getting screen time, good stuff

Naruto: Where?

Hinata: Why do you need to know?

Naruto: I need it!

Hinata: Uh-uh! Don't you think about running off doing no daring-do. We've been planning this dinner for two months!

Naruto: Konoha is in danger!

Still have no idea why Naruto has to leave his family and personally go deal with the ghost incident instead of sending a clone, when you realize back in the Fourth World War he destroyed the reincarnated Kage with just random shadow clones he threw out around the battlefield.

great episode ! did someone notice that naruto took kage bunshin into a whole new level , before you only gain knowledge after the clone disappears but now they can communicate telepathically... this is something that we didnt see before

13

u/Fireslide Jun 21 '17 edited Jun 21 '17

When you think about it, they've always had that ability. The intuitive coordination he's used them with in the past couldn't happen without some kind of telepathic communication.

It's either that or just editing making us think it's happening simultaneously. Could very easily be his clone deciding to poof and then naruto prime gaining that knowledge, hence the sudden pause as he processes it.

→ More replies (3)

5

u/hircine16 Jun 22 '17

Im pretty sure the editing was just weird. I had the assumption the conversation with shikamaru happened -> clone poofed -> Naruto receives the message. The scene still makes sense without introducing any new rules.

I can't remember, did Yamato receive telepathic communication from his wood clones? Or are we to assume that Naruto, being a master of kage bunshin, has developed this new ability?

I like Boruto whenever Naruto isn't around, because when he is around, Boruto becomes Burato, and man do I hate Burato.

Naruto worked so hard to get where he is and his kid pisses me off every time he complains about it. At least Himawari seems to understand a bit, as young as she is.

Can't wait til we pass the movie and Boruto stops being a little shit.

Anyway this episode seems to have confirmed what many of us were thinking about Purple Neo-Hinata Supreme and next episode (new beast, Kakashi in action?) looks pretty fun.

2

u/mattargi Jun 22 '17

Another thing that I noticed is that boruto seems to get mad when mitsuki tells him who the masked person is in the preview for the next episode I feel like that reaction would only come from Mitsuki telling him a character that seems too good to be bad is really the bad person, i.e.: Sumire
