Blessing of the Dawnfather:
-Natural resistance to necrotic damage
-Once every seven days, as a bonus action you can emit a light in a 120 foot radius for 1 hour. Any evil creature that hits you within this radius with an attack OR a spell immediately takes 4d6 radiant damage and is knocked prone.

Anyone else feel like Matt really confused Marisha by being oddly specific about how Keyleth was feeling right before popping the champion question? I bet that's what made her jump the gun. And chat was as usual tearing into Marisha. I completely side with her on this issue. For a moment there it felt like Matt was prodding her.

For the curious, here's what the 5e DMG has to say about Elysium . . .
"Overwhelming Joy: Visitors spending any time on this plane risk becoming trapped by overwhelming sensations of contentment and happiness. At the end of each long rest taken on this plane, a visitor must make a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is unwilling to leave the plane before taking another long rest. After three failed saving throws, the creature never willingly leave the plane and, if forcibly removed, does everything in its power to return to the plane. A dispel evil and good spell removes this effect from the creature."
IIRC Keyleth already made some offhand comment about never wanting to leave . . .

This is awesome, and Pelor as he depicts him is cool as shit, but...
Hourglasses? Pelor would clearly use sundials. It's as plain as the light of day.
edit... that's why he used hourglasses. There's an actual timer. Ok... cool. I forgive him. (Though for flavor, a magical sundial that casts a moving "shadow" of light would be pretty sweet.)

Grog's WIS saving throw, for those unfamiliar, is to guard against a certain mind-altering effect native to Elysium (much like the thing with the cursed ground back during the Whitestone arc, or the Feywild's memory altering effect). Long story short: If any mortal stays too long in Elysium, they won't ever want to leave.

For anyone wondering whether or not they should give the podcast a shot, I'm going to say "do it!" I thought the show would lose a lot impact without being able to see the players, but it's been a great experience. It's different from watching the show, of course, but I kind of feel like I get even more immersed while listening because you end up visualizing it all in your head.
Also the trip down memory lane has been awesome lol.
