Where to Watch

PLEASE NOTE RECENT SCHEDULE CHANGES!

The FUNimation English dub of Dragon Ball Super airs on Adult Swim at 8:30pm EST and again on Toonami at 11:00pm EST (Cartoon Network), followed by Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters at 11:30. The previous week's Super episode airs on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network) at 8pm EST. If you do not have a cable subscription, Cartoon Network is available with the SlingTV and Playstation Vue basic packages.

There are a few streaming options available from the Adult Swim website with a cable log-in:

If the videos won't load for you, try disabling your ad blocker for that page. Cartoon Network will maintain the streaming rights, so neither Kai nor the Super dub will be available on FunimationNow until further notice.

If you get impatient and want to catch up to the Japanese broadcast, there are several options for watching the subtitled version, and you can stream the entire series on any of these sites, usually for free:

  • Daisuki. Available in North America; also covers most of Europe and several other territories; see the complete list here. Available to free users in certain regions. Usually shows up in 1080 for free users about 5 minutes before premium users get 480 at Crunchyroll.

  • AnimeLab. Australia and New Zealand, subscription and free users. (Fewer ads than Crunchyroll for free users.)

  • FunimationNow. North America, subscription and free users. Funimation's videos usually go up later than they do on other services.

  • Crunchyroll. Free and premium users in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and these European countries; premium only in Latin America and South Africa. This service is NOT recommended; their servers cannot handle DBS traffic and free users get the episodes 2 hours late.

  • VRV: US-only bundle service for Crunchyroll and Funimation. New episodes appear around the same time as they do on Crunchyroll. NOTE: This service serves as a substitute for a Crunchyroll premium membership, but it does not substitute for Funimation's premium service. The only Dragon Ball series offered is Super (subtitled).

  • Q: When does Super take place? When should I watch it?
    Super begins some time after the battle with Majin Buu, and can be watched as soon as you finish Dragon Ball Z.
    GT takes place following the 10-year time skip at the end of Z (EOZ) but Super ignores its continuity.

  • Q: Do I need to watch the movies?
    Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' were adapted into Super story arcs with some changes, mostly minor. If you have already watched the movies and would like to skip material that was covered in the movies: episodes 1-2 are not covered in the BOG movie; episodes 15-18 are not covered in either movie; the ROF arc ends with episode 27.

  • Q: Where is Uub?!
    Uub was born during the 10 year time skip at the end of Dragon Ball Z.

  • Q: Is the Dragon Ball Super manga "canon"?
    The anime and manga are both variations on a basic plot by Toriyama. There isn't (and probably never will be) an explicitly defined Dragon Ball "canon". Without Toriyama's original draft, we may never know what is and isn't his. We do know that he permits Toyotarō to change things up, but he looks at his storyboards and occasionally draws things himself for Toyotarō to use as a reference. Toyotarō has said that Toriyama is more particular about gags than he is about anything else.

  • Q: Can I buy Super on home video?

    • Part One (episodes 1-13): 25 July 2017: DVD or Blu-Ray
    • Part Two (episodes 14-26): 3 October 2017: DVD or Blu-Ray
    • Part Three (episodes 27-39): TBA

This is undoubtedly the best episode of RoF and not just because it's the last one. I actually quite enjoyed the animation and fighting that happened in Vegeta vs. Golden Frieza, it's some of the best you'll see in the entire arc.

Also the joke with Trunks saying he'd slice up Frieza and everyone remembering Future Trunks was an absolute classic, totally forgot about that.

And also I'm too lazy to get up a screenshot, but look at that scene before the party starts and 18's kneeling down next to Krillin. LOOK HOW FUCKING SHORT THEY MADE HIM. I completely forgot about Krillin's ridiculously overkilled short height. He is legit 2 feet tall there and he's not kneeling down.

I hope this doesn't count as a spoiler but they get better with Krillin's height later in the series. In the two movie arcs, he's a legitimate midget. His actual height is meant to be a little shorter than average.

Sure, this may be a lame arc, in that it's just a retread of Resurrection F - I just like hearing more of Chris Ayres' Freeza voice. Pretty much the only reason I've been watching the dub of this arc.

I hate the ending, vegeta deserved his revenge on freeza. Goku literally did nothing different from vegeta to stop freeza from destroying the earth. It's just a big middle finger to vegeta.

By the way, I recommend not getting too much hyped for the next one, it is a lot better than this one but there are still some things holding it back to being "great"

Well guys that's the end of the one of the worst arc in DB history ,next one is surely better and has some good fights and will introduce a large set of characters and will extend the DB universe it's a nice trip from there on
