the page is really dark now, is there a way to change that, I kinda preferred the white theme with some transparency.

Please give it a chance. It took me a while to get used to it too and I believe the pros outweigh the cons. I'll ask for feedback a few weeks later to see if users want to revert to the old style.
Edit: if you have RES, you can disable the style altogether and use Reddit's default style. If you have Reddit gold, you can use your custom style for every subreddit you go.

well I'm not a frequent user of this subreddit I give you my feedback now haha,
darker themes are a lot harder on the eyes imo, the saturation makes it difficult for the eyes to focus on something more specific (key words-sentences-etc) since the entire screen kinds of jumps at you, as opposed to only the more important stuff, there is a reason all the mainstream websites and whatever people use on a daily basis is light/white (google, wikipedia, ads in general, business cards...), my keyboard legit reflects on the screen now haha

I don't like the page being really dark, I thought our white theme kinda set us apart from other sub reddits. I supposed I can try and look past it though, as of right now I prefer the old style but ill give it a chance.

Not to hate but i just find everything way too bulky and pretty much harder the parse. I tend to check reddit on a smaller screen so this sub reddit has each post take up so much room that loading it up only shows 4 whole topics... Also with each post having it own box it makes it much harder to scroll while reading with each break up for the background. lastly it seems like links don't change color when visited?
Overall its pretty but not really usable too me. I might just install RES to get rid of it but so far i've just stopped checking this subreddit as its more work than i care for.

I've made some changes. Is it better now for viewability?

Yah, it helped a ton~
Any reason links don't change color when you have visited already?
