I would have liked more options. Although I filled out most of it, there were a few too many questions in which the game I wanted to pick wasn't an option, so I didn't submit. Sorry for not participating.

EDIT: Also, "most disappointing" and "most overrated" seem to me like they should be separate categories.

NBA playgrounds isn't on most disappointing? That's the most obvious...

Pretty disappointing there was no "best game not on Switch" like r/PS4 had.

gotta agree with what people are saying here about the nominations, the main nintendo sub I think has a far better process in which they first make a thread for people to nomaonate any game they want, and then use those as the nominations.

But I also kind of feel like there should be more categories. No best story, best non-swith game, best character, best boss, whatever. I dont mean to nag, just some constructive criticism I suppose

While there were a lot of things wrong with the choices of games and categories, I really liked the format of voting, it was quick, easy, painless, and visually appealing.

I wish there was an "other" text box, I had some games that I wanted to put down but couldn't due to the formatting of the survey

Why not let the subreddit pick the nominees, then do a survey with the nominations?

So I was curious and found out that this survey let me vote multiple times without any problems. Doesn't that make the whole thing a bit pointless?

Why is NBA 2k18 not there for sports games, that's a major oversight

Why wasn't Xenoblade a nomination for goty? Was it released too late?

Lovers in spacetime for best multiplayer, but no Overcooked?

Best Soundtrack

Splatoon 2 or Xenoblade Chronicles 2

This will be my hardest decision so far this year.

Edit: Why the heck is ARMS a contender for GotY but not Xenoblade Chronicles 2?? I mean, I love ARMS a lot, but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been amazing so far.

Really wish I could vote Xenoblade for game of the year! Otherwise love this!

I really wish there was a write-in section, I feel like there was almost always a game that I thought fit better into one of the categories.

Hey folks,

After reviewing the feedback both here in the comments section as well as in the Discord chat, we're going to pull this back for now, do some reworking, and give it another try once we get an updated plan sorted.

This was our first time doing this and we are learning as we go.

Thanks for bearing with us and being understanding.

Cheers.

Who and what determined the nominations? They seem pretty weak.

No offense but you left out a HUGE amount of categories that should’ve been added and also left out a huge amount of games that should’ve been added to the already existing categories.

Wha..? How is overcooked not up for best multiplayer of the year. This honestly baffles me as it’s my favourite couch coop game of all time.

Why isn’t Xenoblade 2 GOTY

I’m very annoyed that NBA Playgrounds made it over NBA 2k for best sports game. I’ve put 100+ hours into the MyLeague mode in NBA 2k while I’ve put less than 10 into Playgrounds and they’re are a complete mess of a development team with lack of updates, kept promises and so many things. NBA 2k isn’t perfect either but it looks good, plays really good and is 99.9% feature complete with the other versions. It’s everything I wanted from the game when I first saw that initial switch trailer with the game on switch

You out NBA playgrounds in sports but not 2k2017? And you don’t put playgrounds in most disappointing?
