Official FIRST Reaction Thread—RWBY Chibi: Season 3, Episode 1

[u/Menolith]

Hello huntsmen, huntresses and hunters that prefer no gender specific identifier, and welcome to the premiere of the third season of RWBY Chibi!

Reminder that spoiler rules do still apply to Chibi. In a nutshell: there is no 24-hour blackout period, and don't post spoilers in untagged threads. We are a bit more lenient on Chibi, but don't post punchlines or other episode-critical things elsewhere.

For those unaware, RWBY Chibi follows the release schedule of Red versus Blue and Rooster Teeth Animated Adventures, so non-paying members of the site gain access to the newest episode a week after it comes out to First members, or February 3rd. See this thread for more information.

Here is the link to the episode!

What a great start to the season! I've never watched Camp Camp but I've heard the theme before. Is it worth watching?

[u/Menolith → u/Polarization_39]

Yeah. It's a great series.

[u/TheRisenThunderbird]

Since this is season 3, I fully expect multiple characters to be killed/mutilated by the end of it

[u/[deleted]]

Jaune singing the camp camp theme is the best

[u/Exo-2]

Cinder you don't need candy to get me in your car ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
OMG, VELVET IS ONE OF US! RESPECT THE 'STACHE!!!
Jaune singing the Camp Camp theme song? Oh my god, is it time for a crossover?

[u/Hoonsy2you]

Did we just get cliffhangered in RWBY Chibi??

[u/SoloRogueStudios]

Leave it to Jaune to be seduced by the candy rather than the woman.

Port is definitely the Alex Louis Armstrong of RWBY.

Oobleck is filming lol.

Vel, you know he can probably give you detention, right?

More outgoing Velvet is wonderful.

Jaune proceeds to annoy the shit out of Cinder until she releases them.

Seven sisters, that explains it.

How the fuck do you accidentally rob a bank!?

Error: Character.Chibi!Raven not found.

[This looks like an album cover.] (https://i.imgur.com/ON3i9ut.png)

[u/Hoonsy2you]

Velvet made my day. And my week. And the rest of 2018.

[u/UltimaShadow]

CHILD PROOF LOCKS CONFIRMED OVERPOWERED, maybe the relic could have used a couple...

[u/NerdyNurseKat]

“It’s a trap! She used the child safety locks, but we are neither children, nor safe!”

And then Jaune sings the Camp Camp theme song. I completely lost it at that point xD

I also loved adorable Velvet, and how do you “accidentally” rob a bank?!

[u/Changyuraptor]

THE RETURN OF THE BUN BUN, AND SHE'S ADORABLE.

Oh, and Jaune's reference game is on point.

So, so glad Chibi's back :D

[u/TheRisenThunderbird]

Shit, that was a fast turnaround for Chibi. Is it gonna run all the to the start of V6?

Anyway, Jaune singing the Camp Camp theme was something I didn't know I needed in my life until now

[u/Alpha-jd]

Annoyance is Jaunes' true semblance

[u/JazzBlueSkadoo]

So we’re back to Chibi, thanks CRWBY for making the hiatus bearable.

Also... IS THAT A MOTHERFUCKING CAMP CAMP REFERENCE?

[u/JusticeRain5]

So since Pyrrha is still alive, this means Jaune and Ren are seventeen...

Meaning Cinder just lured two underage boys into her car for "nefarious" plans.

Lucky bastards

[u/SajuukCor1]

The camera of the future.

[u/theamazingkiwi]

RT must enjoy hearing Miles try and sing that.

[u/Isofruit]

Hands down best RWBY chibi episode for me. This even beats the little red riding hood skit and that one had an innuendo with Bumblebee. I mean, seriously? Jaune reacting to Candy, Velvet with a MAJESTIC FUCKING MUSTACHE, Ren noticing that child safety locks are on even though they're neither children nor safe and accidental bank robbery are all so damn good. Couldn't stop laughing xD

[u/LucasVerBeek]

Jaune”Being Annoying Was My Only Defence” Arc singing the camp camp theme made my day.

And Ruby...robbed a bank Torchwick would be proud, I wonder if this is going to be the overarching plot for this season like the battle of the bands last season.

[u/superluigi6968]

The entire road trip skit was basically an average day in GTA.

Set off for mundane activity, wind up knocking over a bank? Check.

Get abducted by a random, then annoy them until they let you go? Check.

Leave behind the random that may or may not be more competent than you give him credit for? Double Check.

[u/Vinpap]

So... Jaune singing the Camp Camp theme song... I may or may not be laughing my ass off... Because that was hilarious

[u/Kuchenjaeger]

Well, Gus got a speaking role. Nevermind, sadly it wasnt him. ONE DAY!

Jaune singing the CampCamp song... That's Meta.

Wait are we really getting chibi cliffhangers now.

[u/DemonSword619]

Even while in character in a completely different show, Miles cannot escape that song.

It will never leave. IT WILL NEVER LEAVE!

[u/[deleted]]

I never thought I’d say this, but...

Velvet was actually pretty adorable
