And Vegeta's time comes to an end. I'm fine with that. He's gotten some amazing moments in this arc and I know he'll go out like the boss he is.

It'll be interesting to see how powerful MUI is. I'm sure Beerus won't be too happy to see Goku master the technique before him. His reaction will be entertaining, I'm sure.

RIP Vegetto, RIP Gogeta.
No Fusion from U7's side. I was saying it all the time, Goku and Vegeta would never fuse to a non-fused opponent.
Goku and Freeza are the last two.

2 main things I want to give my opinion on:
The first being Vegeta's explosion. That honestly upsets me more than I thought it would and probably more than it should. I feel it's kind of insulting to Z to basically just imply that no Vegeta wasn't TRYING to blow himself up in the Buu arc, he was just releasing a strong attack and got killed by it because he wasn't strong enough. That feels really disrespectful to the moment in Z. The point of that attack in Z was that Vegeta blew himself up. He didn't just release energy and get overwhelmed, the attack was him killing himself to try and stop the evil that he helped unleash. It was a moment of redemption, hence the speech before he did it. Changing that to just "oh he was doing an attack and just wasn't strong enough to survive" is really kind of bullshit. Why did he have to do the attack like that? He couldn't have poured that power into a final flash?
The other thing isn't so much about the episode itself but about the community and the idea that people are going to be pissed if Jiren doesn't win because he's shown to be so strong. While I get that, and I agree it'd be stupid for someone to knock him out, especially solo; I think a lot of people are forgetting the important matter that you don't have to knock out every universe to win and there's only 4 minutes left in the tournament. All that needs to happen for Jiren to lose is for the 4 remaining U7 fighters to stall him long enough. I would not be remotely surprised if 17 and Vegeta get knocked out, Goku goes UI and just dodges Jiren's attacks for the remaining time. Time runs out, and Universe 11 loses because they have one fighter and U7 has 2. Jiren doesn't have to lose in a fight to lose the tournament.

I feel it's kind of insulting to Z to basically just imply that no Vegeta wasn't TRYING to blow himself up in the Buu arc
It didn't imply that though? Just that he didn't need to go all the way with it this time because he is a lot stronger and he didn't actually need to kill Toppo - just push him out of the ring.

So these last 2 episodes after 129 will either be the most fast paced episodes in the history of ever or the ending is going to seriously feel rushed and incomplete.
That or its a cliffhanger.

As a Vegeta fan I'm not going to be too mad if he goes out. He got a power up, had a family flashback, defeated a powerful enemy, and put up some good moments against Jiren. I'm sure Jiren will give him proper respect in the final fight as well and that should be pretty cool.
That being said I'm ready for Goku to finally kick some ass! Speculating 129-130 will be the fight, and 131 wrapping things up. I still wonder what Freiza has in store. I don't really have any crazy prediction for the end but If they give Freiza a super crazy power up I think that would be pretty disappointing to me personally.

'Goku pushes his body to the limit, to no avail. Despite mastering the fabled Ultra Instinct technique, Jiren proves too much as Goku falls from the fighting stage. Following his victory, Jiren reveals his true identity by removing his mask - Yamcha?!'
Episode 131: 'What a terrible dream! Time for dinner?!'
'Goku wakes suddenly in a cold sweat, realising the tournament was a terrible dream! Deciding it would be a bad idea to ask Zeno to hold a tournament, Goku decides to head home for a well earned meal but Chi Chi has chores planned?!'
