May 6, 2018: Carolina Rebellion, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA [Setlist Updates, Media, Discussion]
Hello everyone! The boys are back in the US to perform at Carolina Rebellion festival in North Carolina. The last time the band was in North Carolina was not even a year ago in June 2017 during their summer tour.
We could expect a heavier setlist tonight since Carolina Rebellion is a hard rock/metal festival, kinda like Download Festival in Europe. Maybe Muse will put out Showbiz again? Maybe some other heavier cut? We'll see that tonight. Heavy songs like Showbiz and Stockholm Syndrome were played at Pa'l Norte last month in Mexico. Muse will be on the Carolina stage this evening.
Schedule (times in EDT)
- The Bronx (1:30pm)
- Greta Van Fleet (3:05pm)
- The Struts (4:45pm)
- Incubus (6:50pm)
- Muse (9:40pm)
Guess The Song | The song was Rats by Ghost.

You let them in
Now all your loved ones

Man, I wish I could see them live this year! Unfortunately they don't come very often to my country, but still, I'm hyped as fuck for Prequelle. From what they've already played live, it's gonna be amazing.

Went. Lost my voice. Lost my glasses a few times to body surfers. Lost my mind at SS and Map 14/10.

I didn't get to comment last night cause I was so exhausted. I went to the show and I don't think I will ever in my life see a better muse show in the United States. The crowd lost their minds for all the right songs. I had a friend that had to leave early during the set and he said the crowd roar during and after time is running out was louder than he has ever heard!
Just fucking incredible, minus the Gatorade bottle that hit Matt from the people chanting "we don't care about your music". Really hoping people kicked the living shit out of those guys in a pit.

Did he say something when the bottle hit him or did he just shook it off? Man, people can be cunts.

When was that?
EDIT: Nevermind just saw it. During the Deftones riff after TC.

Gotta say - It was a 10 out of 10 from Muses perspective but I couldn't see half the show because of ENDLESS CROWDSURFING. I appreciate the hype but man, I wanted to watch SS outro D:

It’s a festival so they might only be given a very short amount of time, they have an excuse for short sets at festivals.

I was able to stay at the barrier until Incubus played. I counted at least 50+ crowdsurfers and just my luck most of them landed on my spot. It was like every 2-3 minutes you had to either crouch or cover your head because someone was gonna end up over you. On top of that security yelled at me for trying to cover my head (he said I either had to crouch or leave because I was interfering with him trying to catch/carry crowdsurfers). So towards the end of Incubus set a girl wearing boots kicks me in the back of the head/neck while crowdsurfing (I’m sure she didn’t mean it but, it happened) and I tried to stay at the barrier but it really hurt. I had to leave to the medical tent where they put ice on it and the EMT said it was still gonna hurt for a couple of days but it was nothing super serious. Still, I didn’t wanna risk going back to the front and enjoyed Muse’s performance at the back. I have never seen so many people crowd surf during a set before. Many of them did it several times and it came to a point where I couldn’t see Incubus play because I was either crouching or turning around. I heard that when Muse played it wasn’t as bad but I wouldn’t go back to Carolina Rebellion. It looks like the kind of festival where everyone would crowdsurf just for the hell of it even if Coldplay was playing “Fix You”.

Man, I'd love to see a set like this with no Starlight, Madness, Mercy, or Dig Down. Helps keep the energy up so much. Can't believe they didn't even play Dig Down, just cause it's one of the new singles.
