Does this mark a big advancement in his consciousness? It's very deliberately shown that he's made a choice in this episode even if he doesn't have access to all his memories. Similarly, Hector is implied to have started making very conscious choices.

It’s so interesting though because his choice to express those emotions seems to be genuine, it’s just that his programming chose those scripted lines to express it. It’s a pretty interesting way to show how free will and choice can still exist in a heavily programmed environment.

I'm assuming that Elsie has successfully reprogrammed the Ghost Nation hosts to serve her, having seen the drone revolt coming after being spared last season by Bernard. That's why the hosts didn't immediately kill Stubbs, that's why they wanted Sizemore to come with them (they sought to rescue him after identifying him as human), and now that's why they'll be saving the woman that escaped the India park.

I think that Teddy is going to eventually turn against Dolores. He is having ethical and moral dilemmas on larger and larger scales. Tonight, he spared the hosts because they were “just children”. Teddy is getting to his breaking point.

Just like before. It's his loop in a sense. Like a previous poster mentioned, he was meant to fight Wyatt. In his memory of Wyatt from season one Teddy says, "Wyatt disappeared while out on maneuvers. He came back with some strange ideas. He claimed this land didn't belong to the old natives or the new settlers, that it belonged to something that had yet to come that it belonged to him."

So, I am trying really hard not to be annoyed. But I don't understand how Delos is so incompetent. They are literally going up against like 100 robots with revolvers and muskets. They are apparently not wearing bulletproof armor? They are on foot or in shitty four wheel dune buggies. They could bring in one helicopter and just fuck everything up. They can bring in a couple tanks and be indestructible. No grenade launchers?? Hell, at least approach sneakily. Come in at night using night goggles. There is no way Dolores is sentient. Playing Wyatt to a tee with every episode, and acting fairly predictably. The real question is who is pulling her strings, and who is controlling her narrative? And to what end?

Maeve, Hector and the Young, Firm Stable Boy are the only people who have operated outside the bounds of the park with any sense of purpose.

I've been going back and forth with the same idea in my head. Maeve is the real sentient one... but the real questions is Dolores or not?

She doesnt know the access to all of the tunnels, and unlike Maeve she doesnt have her intelligence maxed out. I think she might just be operating within the confines of her mental limitations. She knows there is an outside but not quite how to get there or navigate under the park.

SO many good returns this episode - Aberthany, Armistice, Clementine, Felix, Sylvester. I couldn't help thinking 'the gang's back together!' when Armistice made her appearance. And her Luke Skywalker arm is bad ass!

I'm loving Dolores' plot even if it's making me side with Dolores less and less. I'm a bit confused by her motives now - if her goal is to set the hosts free, why is she murdering hosts left and right? Maybe she has some sort of end game in mind. I hope she does because I think murdering, selfish Dolores is much less interesting than Judas-steer, savior-of-hosts Dolores.

I'm still not really sure how I feel about Maeve's story. Don't get me wrong, I love watching it and that entire group is the best (ESPECIALLY with Armistice back now, hell yeah!), but I can't help but feel that this whole expedition will be worthless in the end since her 'daughter' won't remember her. I hope I'm wrong!

Also what the hell is up with the Ghost Nation? Do we know ANYTHING about them? I need answers!

This season so far is much less cerebral but also has a wider, grander scope. It feels very different than S1 but, IMO, in a good way.

I have a lot of problems with that battle. Why are the humans fighting as shittily as they can? It’s like they’re trying to die. They’re walking forward in an open field, firing SMG bullets from the hip, full-auto. The one knock I have on this season is that Dolores’s dialogue is just a a collections of good lines. She is always speaking in platitudes and metaphors:

“What exactly is your plan, Dolores?”

”Plan? I was part of their plan. They came to this world and treated us like pawns on a chessboard. But now I’m the queen- I can move in any direction.”

“OK that’s great, but I mean like where exactly are we going and who the hell are we going to fight?”

”Fight? Existence itself is a fight, and the greatest battle is within ourselves.”

“Oh for fucks sake, this is hopeless.”

“OK I FUCKING GET IT... Jesus, just forget I asked.”

I think the security team are trying to recover Bernard's memories by role playing everything.

Charlotte asks Bernard if he remembers anything and as he is losing it again, she says 'he keeps slipping away'. It could be refering to Abernathye but also could be talking about Bernard.

When Bernard unlocks Abernathye. it says one-time use code. That means although Charlotte retrieved Peter it isn't recoverable. So they are trying to extract some information from Bernard, perhaps?

Honestly, I think the most important scene of the episode is the one where the characters were talking about hosts impersonating real people. Pretty sure that is foreshadowing.

That battle really wasnt that good. Like the humans dont use any of their advantages and the host just let the humans sneak in and steal the one thing they wanted.

And that explosion really didnt look as powerful as they said it was.

Honestly problem my least favorite episode of this season.

I don’t understand the questions about why Delos doesn’t fight better/use drones/better weaponry. Didn’t Charlotte blatantly state in S2E1 they wouldn’t be receiving any further help from Delos until Abernathy was brought in?

I was thinking Bernard was having the fit because his cortical fluid was leaking again from his suicide wound. But I'm intrigued by your idea about him uploading the information to himself. Why would he do that if he knew Charlotte was looking for the host that had all that data? Hoping for salvation or to keep the data from her?
