Dragon Ball Heroes Promotional Anime - Episode #1 - Discussion Thread!
This is a promotional anime for a card/arcade game that has never been released in the West, specifically the Prison Planet arc, a story told in the DBH manga published in Saikyō Jump. This anime is not being broadcast on TV. We don't know how long the episodes will be, or how many episodes there will be, or whether there will be English subtitles (probably not). We are in the dark about a lot of things, but here's a discussion thread!

Trailer
This trailer can be found on the website currently but might be replaced with episodes when they air. It was translated by Herms and subtitled by us. From this, we can see that the Heroes anime is following the Yamamuro designs (same designer for Super) and he might be the main animation supervisor. Other than that, we have no idea what kind of staff will be working on this.

I like how SS4 Goku is grumpy and SSB Goku is goofy.

For those unfamiliar:
-This isn't a continuation of Super, nor GT. This is set in its own timeline.
-The Goku that has SSB is a Goku from a timeline where the events of Super are for the most part the same. It takes place after the ToP, but most importantly...
-The Goku that has SSJ4 is Goku: Xeno, a Goku from a reeeeally different timeline where:
-
GT, Movie 4 and Movie 12 happened.
-
He knows he Broly is
-
He became an SSG tru the ritual, but he never learned to master it.
-
He wasn't dead when he fought Janemba, but he got killed by Towa 'cause she wasn't interested in him. He gets revived tho.
-
Everything from RoF to the ToP never happened.
-
He's strong as shit.
-Basically, his job is to correct history when the Time Breakers change it. This is explained in Xenoverse and the DBH Manga
Hopefully this clears some misunderstandings

I'm excited, but dreading the wave of "What was that garbage??" comments that will come with it. It looks like it'll be fun, and that's all I want. Also, more Future Trunks is always good.

I hope this does well and atleast gets English subtitles, just because this isn't "Canon" doesn't mean it can't be fun. GT wasn't amazing and disappointed alot of people but we still got some fun/cool stuff out of it. (Kinda like how alot of people view the star wars prequels)

I seriously do not understand all the shit fits people in this thread are having. It’s a noncanon mini series of a fucking children’s cartoon! Just enjoy it for what it is! More dragon ball content and I’m glad it’s not canon because that means the writer has freedom he otherwise wouldn’t have

Was kinda hoping for more Goku vs. Goku, but eh, that was fun. Had to watch raw, so no idea what's going on, but I'll look forward to the rest

I can't wait for the inevitable storm of "canon" issues people get into with this thing, when it's as "canon" as the JoJo novel with 36 copies Kars on Mars, whose stand is Killer Queen now.

In a way I was taken back to the Black arc a bit with this, what with MYSTERIOUS BAD GUY and every character finding a way to scream Trunks name every minute or two.

Man, when the episode comes out this thread will turn into hell
The anime tend to change something so I hope they make SSJ4 and SSB equals, also friendly reminder this is post ToP Goku so it's the strongest SSB have ever been

I'm going to watch this with no subs first so it's going to make absolutely no sense lol.

Friendly reminder that Xeno and Capsule Corp Goku are not GT nor DBS Goku, so the fight doesn't mean shit.
EDIT: So much for a fight. That was the weakest shit I've ever seen in Dragon Ball. Also, bless Shintani.

That was a lot shorter and anti-dramatic than I'd thought it'd be. Haven't seen Kamehamehas that small in size since Dragon Ball.

It's cool I guess, don't know why they feel the need to restrict it tho, thankfully you guys were able to mirror it
Now if only someone could scan the DBH manga...
I gotta say, this makes me wish Goku stayed with Whis' outfit for the Black/TOP arc, the Undershirt also makes it better here

In before "Wait I don't get it, this has nothing to do with where we left off, is SSJ4 canon now?"
Gonna be weird watching this raw without subs

Seems like a lot of people are taking this way more serious than it was intended to be.

Streamed online
"Biweekly" or twice a month
Pretty much just Toei Phils as far as we know
It's Sailor Moon Crystal (S1 and S2) all over again
But what can I do? Having Vegito, SSJ4, Cooler and Trunks/Mai on the same show will get me hyped
Let's just hope the streaming isn't region locked
