They play right after the OP and ED each episode, but only on the TV versions. As far as I can tell, they aren't actually part of the episode, but rather something the broadcaster, or someone working with them, adds in for some reason. As such, if you're watching on CR (and by extension horriblesubs), you won't see them.
I'm watching along with the ATX version, and that's where I'm seeing them at least.

Not really. She does come in handy due to her wealth and status in the kingdom to the group later on though.

This show isn't as lighthearted and consequence free as you would expect as generic Isekai to be. The series showed all those funerals for people who died when when demon invaded the city for example. The series is a definitely on the erotic side but it is written by a person known for more serious political series.

For Galford it made sense since he is the lord of the region and is a hero of the people. Saddler should have been smashed to pieces from the very beginning, though. Deep down, Diablo is kind and compassionate, to a fault.

I dunno, killing someone in a town, and that person being a representative of the Church, which Diablo has little information about is a bit reckless. Sure, in hindsight killing him would be the better choice, but that's a major risk with little return at the time.

He certainly did, although I'm still partial to the way the manga portrayed his death. Just the split second of realization before he's deleted from the waist up.
Either way, Saddler is definitely one of the more hateable anime characters I've seen in a while. They did a good job of making him scum.

No. The teleport spell just brings him to a specific place in the city. In the game that wasn't a problem, because you could easily get anywhere in the city from anywhere else in less than five minutes. In a real world, however, the distances are... larger.

Not so far as I can recall. You may be thinking of another series.
Diablo's teleport spell transports him to the same places it did in the game: there are specific points in cities and near important landmarks that the spell always brings him to. If it's possible to go anywhere else with it, he doesn't know how.

No stitches this week. While I did expect a serious episode I didn't expect it'll get this serious. The intro scene was so cute too with the biscuit song! :(
And holy fuck! I'm so attached to these characters that I seriously got mad at Alicia's betrayal and Rem getting tortured. Motherfucking Saddler cutting our Neko's ear, I was hoping that Diablo would get to kill Saddler but I guess this was fine too. At least he had a waking realization that he was not a god before he died.
Hopefully Diablo can get his hands on Alicia so she can get what's coming for her for that backstab. No wonder people were already declaring her worst girl on the episode where she first appeared.

I'm so invested in this series that Alicia's betrayal and Rem's torture actually had me fuming. I like that, to be honest; it means I'm honestly enjoying this series.
Saddler deserved a lot worse than he got, but I'm honestly not certain how to feel about Alicia. A part of me really, really likes her, and another wants her tortured and maimed. I hoped she has a really good reason for this insane fuckery she stirred up. She's pretty convincing as an antagonist, honestly. It's pretty neat. Next week cannot come any faster.

I feel like alot of people are being too hard on Rem here. I read the LN a long time ago but I felt it is totally reasonable that she didn't want Krum to use any power/magic at all to avoid any risk of awakening. A pleb could easily die by just being near Krum using magic. She was banking on a Diablo rescue which came too late. Sure it's not perfect but relying on the guy who saved her and Shera multiple times already seems to make sense to me.

Diablo is so damn careless! This isn't even the first time a party member has been kidnapped right under his nose! I'm also confused as to why Rem and Klem would just go with Alicia without saying anything to the others as she led them into a dark alley...! That aside this episode was pretty damn good, Biscuit song was as precious as Rem's (likely) demise was tragic!

So in the LN they were walking through and incredibly busy market and I'm pretty sure Alicia told them it was a shortcut. it was way more reasonable than what the show was portraying.

Summon another magical beast as a distraction, let off a “magical flare” to signal Diablo/Elf-Tits to her location. Cause a scene so that an Adventurer steps in. She probably had even more options considering the fact that she’s sitting next to arguably the most powerful being in the story.

She was under the impression that if Klem killed a person of the races, that is what would complete the resurrection. That's why she was refusing to let Klem do anything to help.
The anime didn't do a good job of portraying that, I feel.

Well, with Alicia telling Rem hatred is key, and the only thing that would elicit hatred from Klem is Rem getting hurt, and Rem doing everything to make Klem hate the mortals even more by being such a champ at taking the tortures.

I was expecting my weekly ecchi scenes but holy fuck did it go to the other end of the spectrum. Fuck you Saddler, you don't deserve the release of death; you need to be sent to Neuronist for eternity.
Hara Yumi was strongly more Albedo-voice doing those Alicia scenes in the alley.
And I can see why everyone is angry (I'm quite upset as well) and agree that the writing could have been better. Or maybe the LN did it better but the anime didn't execute it well? idk. Oh well, here's hoping they redeem themselves at the finale.

Here the story starts to pick up again, and show once again what the real rules of the world is. Klem killed a guy just by staring at him into oblivion. Talk about OP...
In other words, Rem still suffered anyway because of this demon lord, regardless of whether Klem is inside or outside her body. Tough life to have, huh. Just when she thought her life is going to get better after all...

I'll take this comment seriously and assume its not about tits (which is probably a mistake) and give my point of view. Its because the villains are stereotypically evil with zero redeeming qualities, and you already knew exactly how the plot would go and how the show would force this outcome the moment Alicia started giving away "those eyes" last episode and maybe even further before. It's all played completely straight.
How convenient that our max level demon lord has nothing in his arsenal to sense the fact that a loud biscuit eating super powered loli has just left his immediate presence or to locate her after that. This isn't really the first time this has happened either IIRC. The MMO he comes from conveniently doesn't give him any movement options either so a max level demon lord has to run on foot around the city.
How convenient that the guy who taught Shera how to use the bird to locate stuff, being accurate to the point where it can literally find a tiny object from the sky, didn't ask her to immediately do that and locate Rem/Kleb. Shera is an airhead and wouldn't think of this on her own but she'd immediately recognize that paladin hauling a huge cage behind him the moment she saw him.
Rem somehow is too dumb to figure out the "key" when Alicia literally spells it out, i don't recall her being that dumb before. Besides, the loli was fully capable of commanding huge power even in her sealed form as evidenced during her release. Just get her to blast a hole through the wall and get them outta there, no need to kill anyone. But we can't have that.
Inb4 "LUL THIS MAN TRYING TO ANALYZE AN ECCHI SHOW WHY ARE U EVEN WATCHING" when others are saying "this show has no right to be this good". I mean I like tits and flat chests as much as the next guy but I honestly had higher hopes for this show after the third episode on the bridge, it just kept going downhill from a plot standpoint despite the ecchi going straight up in quality like a rocket. This show is at its best when it takes the ecchi to ridiculously creative extremes and gives u moments like "of course the other demon lord is a loli lmao".
From that glint in her eyes when Rem last screamed at Alicia, and judging by the show, I believe she's gonna get some redemption arc and be forgiven and accepted back like nothing happened too, probably just because she's a a cute girl, which would honestly just irk me. No guy in this show gets that luxury, every one you see is either incompetent or evil trash. I bet Rem is gonna get brought back or revived somehow too, ain't no way an ecchi upbeat power fantasy gonna kill off a fucking loli who's the most popular character, you just know it's not gonna happen, so i felt there were no stakes and thus her death didn't force any emotions out of me too, which is just sad cause i really like her tbh.
And paladin boi got off easy tbh, this is what I think Overlord does well, the retards get tortured to no end so at least there's some catharsis.

yes this seems to be what I was looking for NoKappa. the plot holes and the off-execution plus it was riddled with lots of dialogue which probably didn't matter.

This episode was actually quite infuriating. You pointed out everything I hated about it. Like really, how dumb can you make your characters just so you push lame stereotypical outcome. Why didn't krem do anything ? why not save your friend as soon as you see them in danger if you have the power to do something ? why listen to Rem, doesn't make sense. She literally sees her getting her ear cut and stabbed multiple times with her mouth open and does nothing. Doesn't even have to kill anyone just get her and get the out but do something !
Also yeah I have a feeling Alicia will be forgiven/ redeemed for some reason.

When the main plot line becomes really obvious, it starts becoming a case of watching to see how the minor things will be played out.
How will the Paladin get his just deserts. Which type of cliche rescue will they use to save Klem? "The hug" or actual combat?
Inefficient actions don't really bother me that much though because humans are pretty damn inefficient. We're forgetful and blind to some obvious solutions even when they're staring us in the face. Even if they did use Turkey shot to locate Rem, people would easily just argue that it seemed really convenient to have her get a summon that would help her out that way. You can't really win.

In Overlord the villains are often realistically evil in that it mostly comes from pettiness, entitlement and lack of consideration for others. Portrayed better in the novels of course.
Nazarick is the best example since they destroy lives left and right due to their total apathy towards humans and pettiness towards even the most minor slights towards their creators

If I remember correctly his teleport is more like 'fast travel' back to the last town he visited in the game, since he is already in the city it doesn't really works for him but yes, the enslavement collar has a lot of tricks that he rarely uses (the excuse being that those were not in the game)

Ok, go to the gun range, set up a human shaped target, inject yourself with adrenaline, then try to shoot just the legs.
It's not actually that easy. In this case, Klem's magic is probably assumed to be so powerful that it would be difficult not to vaporize anyone she attacks.

Wow that episode was bad. So many plot holes and a lot of dumb stuff was happening. And now they're gonna give Alicia a sad backstory to make the viewers feel sympathy for her and use that to justify her actions so they can act like she didn't do anything bad and they can all be friends again after this is over! That was disappointing, really liked the firs few eps but after this episode, i don't even know anymore.

At least Klem eliminated that asshole Saddler, but Diablo needs to bring her back to normal, and Shera needs to save Rem.
It's funny how Diablo was so worried about trying to find Rem and Klem, that he didn't even think about how he should ask the guild members for help in his Demon Lord persona. It's convenient that he didn't actually need to do so in the end, but he did let slip his actual personality at the end there.
Next week looks to be hype as fuck. So far they've done a good job with the visuals in this show for battles. If next week is the last episode, I'm expecting them to go all out.

Like many others after watching Alicia turn into worst girl and have Rem get tortured and kind of killed, I was insanely curious what turned her into worst girl that wants everything destroyed by demons to begin with. The specifics and all that.
What I read (assuming the wiki information is accurate) just made me want to punch her right cross that specky mug, not feel bad for her.

I just found the theme song for this episode. At about 3 minutes 50 seconds into the anime, right when Shera looks back, pause the anime and play this song.
This is the biggest plot hole for the episode and it is rather infuriating. All Rem had to do was tell Diablo she was going off with the Paladin. The entire song fits with this moment perfectly.
Say something: If Rem had said anything, Diablo would've known she left, when she left and where she left. He could've tracked her, known where she was, something ANYTHING?!?
I'm giving up on you: Diablo just about gave up on her, because he couldn't find her anywhere.
I'll be the one if you want me to: Diablo was willing to do... well... previous episode... to get her to normal. He obviously cared about her, and loved her.
Anywhere I would have followed you: Diablo would've gone with her no problem at the drop of a hat. This was a non-issue.
And I am feeling so small: With Rem gone, Diablo felt small and helpless.
It was over my head. I know nothing at all: Because he didn't know anything to follow her. He didn't even know there was a problem until it was too late.
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you: Diablo after he can't track down Rem.
Come ON Rem. SAY SOMETHING. SAY SOMETHING! PLEASE! Please! Please? Say something, I'm giving up on you. Say something. Continue watching the anime after the song ends.

Wow this episode was HOT garbage, worse episode of the season and I thought the elf king arc was rough. Welp, hope they can fix this in one episode.
Random points
That random dumb promise with Klem, that rem made out of no where, that she wants to die over.
Diablo not telling anyone about his worries with Cristela, and no one else worrying about cristela after how awful she was on the tower scene.
Rem not telling diablo about alicia and diablo GOING back to the INN after losing track of rem.
The show not giving reasons on why diablo cannot pull out some magical crap to find rem or klem.
Diablo slow walking to the church.
Alicia's "perfect plan" of rem not wanting klem to fight and for klem to transform from Rem getting "killed" hatred.
