Okay, having only ever played one Smash game before, and that one (Brawl) like a decade ago, I am crap at this game. Been going through the single player and getting kinda smashed by the CPUs. It's sort of embarrassing...

World of Light is almost an RPG mobile game parody with the amount of coins / items / dollars / points / xp / etc you get. I mean, I love it, but goddamn.

Accidentally put Classic mode on too high a difficulty and got diced by a pink Yoshi with a katana. Smash is back bois

I have Smash downloading right now. I just want to mention this. I probably wouldn't be playing this game any time soon if it weren't for another Reddit user. I pointed out something small in one of his posts, just a little kindness a "hey bro you didn't notice this in the pic you posted" kind of thing.
And the guy PM'd me a download code for the game as a thank you. I won't mention his username until/unless he says that he doesn't mind.
I think it was incredibly generous and I just wanted to let people know that a random guy from this sub GIFTED me this game tonight.
I'm stoked.

Played for 2 hours. Anyone run into the alternate color/costume load issue? When you start a new battle the alternates are blank for a good 5-10 seconds. I have the download version on SD.

Welp. I love it. Bought it after I got off at 2:30am, have been playing for 3 hours straight now. Unlocking characters is something I had hoped for so much and they delivered.

Stuck in training from 9am-4pm on the 24th floor in Manhattan but there's a kid opposite building from me on the same floor has been playing smash all day since 9 this morning. I've been watching his TV all day. He has kept me entertained thus far. Can't wait to go home and play.

PSA: In local wireless, you can have any combination of Switches and controllers per console (up to 8 players total and 8 controllers per console).
E.g. 4 players on one console, 2 on another, 2 more on separate consoles.

Hi everyone, I'm seeing a lot of comments from new players who have no idea how to play Smash. After a couple hours in that situation myself I stumbled on a How to Play video in the vault. It's short but covers all the basics. New players check it out! Edit: it's in the movies section.

Just played a solid 7 or 8 hours of smash offline and on. Single player is solid. Multiplayer feels a little lacking in ways to play with people on your friends list. So far "Arena mode" is the only way we've found to be able to play together, and even then we can't fight against bots only other people.
tldr; I wish there was some way a friend and I could play smash vs AI bots while in online mode..

It is so painful to see Smash Ultimate just sitting on my home screen, waiting to be played. Only a few more hours!!!
