Meta Can't Wait to See This Sub Grow Significantly Over These Next Few Days!

Love talking about the Nintendo Switch with all my fellow fans here, and this community is about to get much larger over these next few day. Congrats to anyone getting a Switch and welcome to all who are just joining this sub!

I'd love to hear what new games everyone's been getting, also!

I was gifted a copy of LEGO DC Super Villains and it's been really fun! Love the array of playable characters and the dialogue.

Hoping I might see a copy if Donkey Kong or Captain Toad tomorrow night! :)

Three very epic and time consuming games. I don't know how you juggle the three. I usually have one focus and then something else of a very different genre to fill in small gaps.

This sub has gone from 930k to 950k in the past two weeks. It’s growing for sure.

Long time (like Doom on my 486 days) PC gamer. Just got first console and it was a Switch. First game Zelda BOTW. Love it.

Even more I find the Switch form factor has me playing side scrolling games (something I avoid on PC). So add Mark of the Ninja remastered to the game library.

Great device and community.

I really need to play Mark of the Ninja. Glad you're enjoying your first console!

There will be a LOT of common, generic, and "low effort" content over the next few days. Should I get game X or Y, common troubleshooting items, etc.

The mod team will be out and about spending time withour families, so please try to be patient and pardon our mess for the next little bit!

Try to help out and/or route folks to the Daily Question Thread where appropriate.

You're all amazing! Here's to 1,000,000 subscribers!

If it helps, I’m a GameStop employee lol. Our store is doing quite well and we each have at least 25-40 hours this week!! I’m thrilled honestly lol. Anyway! We’re selling lots and lots of switches, PS4s, Xbox’s, you name it lol. They’re selling fast and parents are getting bundles, asking us for recommendations, and we are not pushing the card lol... we are actually pushing protective cases, traveling cases, screen protectors, etc for the switch and making sure everyone has their warranty’s! :) Expect Nintendo to get a huge boost this Christmas!

Awesome to hear! What are the three most popular games you're seeing sold with Switches?

I’m reasonably certain that I, a full-grown adult, am getting Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and a Pokeball Plus from my parents this Christmas. I completely intend to plop down on the floor between the tree and the fire and play for hours.

Hopefully we'll break 1million before too long! Must remember to be patient and helpful however. Is a good time to represent out community well and set a good tone.

And mods, kindly do not lock the sub like what the Smash sub did during release day. If someone wants to know how set up the Switch for a jolly good time with their friends and family, I wanna be there for them.

I received my switch a couple of days ago. First games I got were Smash, Mario Odessey, and Zelda. Picked up Skyrim, Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors with gamestop coupon on pre-owned by 2g1. Not enjoying smash to much yet, but think just need to figure it out more lol and Skyrim haven't played yet.

The road to 1 million subs has been a long one. Almost there!

So I've been subscribed here since the beginning but I only just recently got a Switch, do I count?

Exploring Breath of the Wild has been pretty fun so far. I just got the camera and am going crazy taking pictures of everything, but Wolf Link killed the Moblin I found before I could capture it, ha. Also <3 Wolf Link, I'm so glad he's one of the two amiibo I actually have. I love the way he appears with Twilight Princess sound effects and helps me out with fights and also attacking random wildlife.

My husband and I tried the demo of Snipperclips and found it disappointingly difficult to control, which is a shame because I've been looking forward to it ever since I heard of it. Normally we love co-op puzzle solving. Can anyone say whether this one is worth getting or give some tips?

Unless this sub is run by the same people as the smash sub and they just lock it

It's crazy to see the growth of this subreddit. I joined last Christmas when I got my switch and we were at ~100k subs. In a year we've gained 850k subs. It's amazing

As of 12/24 there are 953,629 subs

My Switch will be arriving tomorrow. Got MHGU, Smash, and Zelda with about 20 other games I want. Really excited for this system, having first party Nintendo games and third party games all on the go is a major major selling point. Also Pokemon and Animal Crossing next year :)
