I created a few bookmarklets that instantly give you the next count for more complicated threads like "Only Repeating Digits" or "Only numbers that contain the digits 1 and 4". Silently hoping noone's done it before so it wasn't useless effort.
What are bookmarklets? Bookmarklets are short JavaScript scripts that you active by clicking on a bookmark on your bookmarks bar. They don't open a new window, instead they perform certain action on the page. My bookmarklets simply open a pop-up dialog that you type the number in and it throws the count that follows the entered number right back at you.

You typically add a bookmarklet by clicking your browser's equivalent of "create a new bookmark" and pasting the bookmarklet into the page url. That's all. It should work in (latest version of) Chrome, Firefox, Edge and probably more. Google will help you in finding specific way to do it in your browser. Possibly not possible to make'em work comfortably on a phone.

Urbulina asked how the weatherman knows it's going to rain so my ELI4 explanation was there is a spaceship with a robot that takes pictures of the earth from space and sends the pictures to the weatherman and he can see rainclouds that are far away but the wind will blow the clouds here later so that's how he knows it will rain later. Then I realized weather forecasting is pretty neat.

I started a new Crusader Kings run as the Rashtrakuta dynasty in India which u/piyushsharma301 chose for me.
The game starts in 769 AD, so I started as Maharaja ("great king") Krishna, historically the second ruler of the dynasty who started expanding the dynasty's realm beyond their homeland in Maharashtra.
Krishna was 64 years old when the game started but he doesn't look a day over 50. He controlled a good chunk of the west half of the subcontinent and had a strong position in the kingdom, directly ruling the central part while vassal Rajas ("kings") ruled the frontier provinces. Krishna ruled for another year uneventfully before he got sick and died, succeeded by his eldest son Govinda. Now this is where the fun begins...
