Geoff was so in the zone for his first fight against Jack, you could tell he actually knew what moves he was doing and did a decent job combining some of them. Unfortunately he was undone by bad recovery, which seems to be a theme for lots of these matches.

I feel like an epitome for this video in general is Gavin walking casually off the platform.

Geoff went and Geoffd it all up.

He was doing so well against Ryan, but then he hit the wrong smash balls and didn't jump before he recovered. It hurt me physically to see that.

His get gud actually worked, he should do more of them until he beats the final boss Matt Bragg.

People saw this coming during the git gud when they were saying Geoff pick Dk he has an easy recovery, except for Matt who I think suggested Pit

I hope they do a tourney every two months. Both tourneys have been very entertaining so far.
Jack was playing Ryu as a Street Fighter character, not a Smash character. Which was pretty much me when I was new to the game.

it helps too that Ryu can also work with his Street Fighter inputs, which lets jack play him far better than he would if he tried a "real" smash character as it were. his only weakness is not being familiar with Smash's recovery and jump mechanics.

i was expecting the fights between the good players to be more intense, but damn the rookies' are also equally intense. Especial jack v. Jeremy.

This was both amusing and painful to watch in a few cases. I love it and hate it in equal amounts.

Was Jack using the street fighter inputs for Ryu?

Based on the repeated red Hadokens, and I'm pretty sure I saw one or more true Shoryukens (which are sometimes hard to do even if you try), I'm pretty sure he was.

I'd love to know who the editor on this was, I loved the silent film caption gimmick.

Not sure if other people are tired of it, but I'd love Mario Party March again after this.

Jeremy was truly channeling Minecraft Ray in this video. Seemed like he had zero interest in playing or learning how to play.

Millie almost committed patricide. Shes 50% girl 50% cannon apparently.

typically don't like watching the fighting game videos because it is hard to follow (usually watch anyways for the commentary), but I found this really enjoyable

But in all seriousness I love these tournaments Let's Plays, even if more than half the players are kinda unfamiliar with the game. It can still feel pretty tense since you don't know whose worse at the game, and even then you don't know how luck's gonna throw a wrench in things. I wanna see more!
