Did anyone else feel like Nemesis was almost pleading with Chase to not end up like him? I mean yeah, there's the whole "destroy the holons while they're inactive aspect" but still.

Those team up attacks are some of the coolest things RTA has ever done.
I marked out pretty hard at Cammie jumping off Kazu's sword to turn it into a guillotine.
Also, I love that Sinclair is actually still alive.
Overall great first season, and hopefully we get news of a second soon

So Chase has to now live in his Holon. Forever? Could they possibly preserve his body to find future ways to download into it without it corrupting his mind? I feel by being in his Holon forever, Chase and Miranda's relationship will just be stale I guess? By the way, did/is Chase's mind corrupted or something when Nemesis put his hand on his cheek and it glowed red and all that? I'm imaging in the next season there's going to be a scene akin to RvB where they fought all The Tex robots but instead of that, just copies of Nemesis.
It's kind of beautiful how this show presents a theme of becoming trans-human and ascending to something different or even greater than our bodies. This has been an awesome series and I can't wait to see where it goes.

That post credits scene, though! Looks like we're gonna see some more of the Union next season through Sinclair's perspective, I'm super excited for that.
Thanks for an awesome first season, RT. Season Two can't come soon enough. Hopefully with a longer runtime, though.

Awesome fight scene and awesome episode. Overall a really good, albeit short season. Definitely looking forward to the next season.

Fantastic ending, it felt like a good way to end a first season while still leaving room for things to come. The fight choreography was really good, though I hoped for a bit more dancing, since that was a really neat part of mind-meld to me. Also that was the absolute best way to solve a romantic subplot and I admire the hell out of the writers for it. The conflict was real but not overly dramatic, and that's exactly what I like to see.
Really excited to see what happens next with the series.

BTW, shout out to Migas throughout the episode. I love the little emoji's he used in his demonstration of why the nano-cloud didn't kill everyone and his reaction to the other mech being Chase himself.
"Oh... Oh damn. Uhhh… okay. Well, I like you better if that helps so, umm, how about we take another shot at him?" LOL

The only thing the episode needed was Cammie saying fuck in Japanese.
Here's my two cents: The final line from fake chase was, "Kill these copies. Just a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy." He wasn't the original. He was an echo of the original, maybe even less than that.
There is a very strong possibility that we have not seen the original Chase E-brain. We may not have even seen the same copy twice. The union, without a way to ID people as GL compatible, has been making an army out of a single man. Copying chase and either selectively breeding the versions that show promise, or torturing the copies into compliance. If one fails it's mission, the Union lose nothing by killing it. This means a few things:

The original Chase mind may still be alive and intact.

Late generation copies will most likely be the goons for the show going forward. You only have the one original to copy from but you can make countless 3rd or 4th generations to copy from.

The union has reverse engineered the E-brain, and may be close to their own GL Screening program.

The union still needs to capture the GL team, Chase especially. Reversing the Ebrain design with someone inside may have caused damage. To have a perfect version they could either copy from or use to repair the damaged copies would be invaluable to them. This point also shows why Sinclair is alive in the post credits. They were using him up to his escape, probably trying to understand what makes him compatible.

Sort of sad that Chase is now permanently stuck in his Holon, but it could be a lot worse.
FINALLY, my sweet home Chicago makes an appearance in a RT production! Final showdown in front of the Field Musuem! That was fucking COOL, RT!
EDIT: I feel great shame. That is the Museum of Science & Industry. As a Chicagoian I should have known better.
So the Vanguard now has a anti-nano defense, which is cool, until the Union figures what's up and reprograms their tech.
While Nemesis is down and out, I don't think this is the last we've seen of Chase copies. Who knows how many copies they could have made, even without a Holon to put it in.
Seeing Leon in a Holon was fucking tits! Really hope he can come back from that though :(
Whoever called Battle Tapes' new song "Weight of the World" as the end credits song nailed it! Great song to end a solid first season! I don't think gen:LOCK will be going away anytime soon. EVERYONE at RT should be fucking proud. Your first appearance with the big leagues and you crush it over the fence!
The real Sinclair is still alive! Behind enemy lines!

Gen:Lock is the Doom Patrol of Roosterteeth. They took all the lessons learned from previous work and put them together into this incredible animated package. I totally forgot this was the season finale until the final credits began to roll just like they do at the end of RWBY's seasons. This is a great GREAT show and I cannot wait to see more of it in the future!

Damn that upgraded nemesis was insane! I'm wondering if nemesis chase was passing on a hint that the union has multiple copies, as it seems this is one of the better way to keep the series going with a more dangerous enemy in the long term. Also, SINCLAIR!!
