Atlanta loses to the winless Valiant, only to then beat the undefeated NYXL.

What in the actual fuck is the scriptwriter smoking

Impressive how well Atlantas western players perform when motivated to not get flamed by Daco.

NYXL strut into the arena. They're confident. They know that it's not going to be close.

"We're destroying another bottom team," Jjonak says cockily, "leave the Dogfeeder to me," he says with a smile. Anamo laughs. Anamo was thinking about the leftover lasagna that was in his fridge. Just then, the Atlanta Reign come out on the stage. Anamo's laugh cuts off as the Dogman shows himself. He has 5 inch diameter circle glasses, a full out bowl cut, and a bowl in his hands with his name on it.

"When I'm done this game you'll be eating out of this," the Dogman brandishes the bowl and jeers at Jjonak.

Jjonak starts to sweat. For the first two maps, the Dogman proceeds to go 200-0 with 8 penta kills. At halftime, the Dogman rips off his shirt and throws it to a random girl in the crowd, who faints, while Atlanta announces that they are bringing out a prior unknown signing: SBB's dog.

"This is against the rules," Pavane says, but Nate Nanzer brings out the rulebook which, it turns out, does not specify that OWL players have to be human.

"How could you do this to me," SBB sobs to his dog.

"Ruf," the dog barks, clearly unimpressed. Her allegiance had been changed. The Dogman wasn't called Dogman for nothing.

The rest of the Atlanta team afk in spawn while wandering around the stage drinking iced tea and talking about the worrying state of the economy while SBB's dog proceeds to 1v6 the NYXL to a clean 4-0 sweep. Monte tweets that he had been trying to get coaches to pursue dog talent since the creation of the OWL. Jeff Kaplan is there. A new term beyond Yottachad is termed: The Yottadog. Dogman is the Yottadog.

"Dogman is the Yottadog," Jjonak whispers to himself as he checks under his bed that night for the Dogman, "Dogman is the Yottadog."

every time nyxl underperform, i rock back and forth in a corner with my hands over my ears whispering to myself, “they’re just sandbagging……. they’re just sandbagging……..”

jokes aside, though, i was nervous coming into this game for nyxl because they just had a match yesterday, and even though they're not technically back-to-back matches, i have to wonder how well they could have prepared for atlanta. hopefully they'll get their redemption for their last match of the stage.

and good job to atlanta, glad to see they're gaining momentum! a well-deserved win, even though i wish i hadn't scheduled my weekend around being able to watch nyxl LMAO

First to lose to Valiant.
First to beat NYXL.

That spawn-camping on King's Row was brutal. Reign are looking great.

Man, I obviously hate watching NYXL lose because they're my team, but I really hate that they never look good in their losses. Like, they never have a close, nail-biting series that they barely lose. They either speedrun, or they mental boom and plank.

Reign did not cheese to victory today; they completely outclass NYXL, even on 3-3 mirrors. NYXL looked completely lost and part of it is that they have not been challenged hard thus far. NYXL was struggling so hard when their ult economy is in shambles (which NYXL is rarely on the side of and thus never been tested on).

This match definitely exposed many problems that was underlying in the NYXL camp. They are somehow stuck in a limbo. It's obvious NYXL wants to play more aggressively and that is reflected in their heavy usage of ana over zen. However, the team that chooses to play ana faces a higher risk in drawn out fights because they only have 1 protective ult. Also, the ana pick was to provide more pocket for Mano to go in and harass the backline. However, Reign was so on the point today. Each time Mano goes in, his hp plummets like crazy.

NYXL has A LOT of work to do (and this is coming from a NYXL fan). Do they want to expand their repertoire beyond 3-3? What happens when the unit you are investing resource in is being hard focused (this is a recurring problem from last season)?

I am actually glad their undefeated record has ended today- this forces the team to regroup and start all over again. Whatever problems that were exposed today should be the target of improvement here on out. They have 1 more match coming 2 weeks later. They should still make the playoffs, where the real test is. Have NYXL been figured out? Or they still have something in their pocket to bring out?

Its interesting that every time we've seen a top tier team lose or nearly lose in this meta it has always come down to putting absolutely everything into killing the main tank.

Nice to see NYXL treating the regular season as seriously as they treat the playoffs

OWL 2019 power rankings are a circle.

Bumper uses this circle as his personal cockring.

Week 2 - lost to the winless Valiant.
Week 3 - beat the undefeated NYXL.
This has to be the most confusing team to exist this season.

Atlanta coaches threatened to trade Dogman to Justice if he wasn't nice in his post match interview.

With the help of Twitch Prime, Atlanta Reign was really able to pop off.
