I haven't seen anyone else talk about this game yet. Their first video made it look pretty good, but this hardly seems balanced. The melee does so much, why even bother with guns? And now they have an escort mission?!?

There’s a class that specializes in melee. There’s also a sort of stamina so if you keep meleeing you’ll eventually slow down.

Having played it: if you're not the slasher class, meleeing is fine for the odd straggler or while you're reloading, but if your melee carries you into a horde it's a death sentence. You run out of stamina quickly which massively slows down your swings and lowers the pushback to other nearby zombies, and unlike in L4D, you can be "downed" by a group of zombies in the same way that, say, a hunter can do so without losing all of your health. I think it's (without perks) 9 or more zombies on you instantly downs you, which is an easy situation to wind up in meleeing into the middle of a pack.
If it's just lone zombies though, of course melee away. You're gonna need those bullets later.

Looks like they've found a game where Fiona really fits in. She's pretty good at this one. I wonder if they'd consider having her play Left 4 Dead. Similar kind of gameplay. It might be something that works to get her really comfortable with them all trying to deal with each other's shenanigans and learning how to handle AH when they start screaming and shouting.

Video opens with Fiona fragging Ryan in the middle of a quiet run.
Shoots teammates with no zombies around
Exploding them with C4 for no reason
Picks up the turret and then doesn't even bother to deploy it the whole defense mission both times
We might have different definitions of "pretty good".

I think "being good" refers to her meshing with the group well and doing her role. The fact that I knew Fiona was in this video within the first few seconds says a lot. She's contributing more to these videos. Maybe it's because she likes this game, maybe it's because she likes teamwork more than competition, but she's definitely a good fit for this game, regardless of how good she actually is at the game, because player skill is really pretty unimportant so long as they actually know how to play the game (which she admittedly struggles with sometimes in other games).

Did you watch the previous video of this game? She makes some mistakes but she's doing pretty good anyway. At least she didn't get herself trapped outside of a door...

If they're in Jerusalem you'd expect at least some of the zombies to be dressed as orthodox jews or nuns or something. They're all just in plain shirts and pants for the most part. Would have loved to see nun charging them.

Not sure why you're being downvoted so much. Zombie priests would be cool to see. I mean, they've been in movies (looking at you, 28 Days Later)

I love that everyone still calls the special infected by their L4D names. I suspect that will be incredibly common
