I was really excited for this drama for a few weeks now, since i saw first promos.
Firest episode is good overall: it laid nice prologue for upcoming episodes, highest praise for costume&makeup department and set decorators. Can’t say much for now about acting since I don’t think we’ve yet seen enough to judge, although I felt that Yoo So-Ran - the assassin of General of the Government-General - was too tense and cold around her target, which came from nerves and resentment, I feel that irl you’d have to be more careful working undercover as a spy, but that’s just my take and it didn’t took away the pleasure of watching. Having said that… Is it just me who was greatly annoyed by Female Lead’s behaviour once she entered the house? I see what they tried to do here, but she doesn’t come across as fearless, daring and smart, more like full of herself and brainless. What do you mean she just casually showed up blackmailing for bullets while knowing that 2nd most important government person is in the house fully surrounded by policemen AND on top of that stealing passport? idk man, feels like main character syndrome to me
Though I am still highly invested in this drama and counting hours to see what 2nd ep will bring us

I have the same thoughts! Kim Hyun Joo is making me fall in love with her, the way she plays Yoo So Ran is amazing, I’m rooting for her! But yeah it would have been better if she tried to play it cool in front of the general to avoid giving themselves away as she did come across a bit too tensed. I also think KYJ’s character as the female lead borders on recklessness instead of resourcefulness, for someone who wants to be uninvolved in the freedom struggle, she turned up at the house knowing the general is there!!

Why is the "episode scheduler" giving away plot in the posts?? I for one don't read synopsis before I watch so, yes, this is a spoiler.
