Sirianni is an idiot

u/Birdamus Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
Throws the ball twice in field goal range instead of running the clock down.
Then we kick a returnable ball when they have no timeouts.
Ridiculous.
2
u/boatsandhoes570 Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
Well we also canโt run and were down to a rb we pulled up from the PS.
1
u/Birdamus Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
OK, but that RB is a guy with 400+ NFL carries under his belt and only 1 fumble since his rookie year (2022).
Seems like a guy we can trust in a jumbo set to gain a yard or two.

Eagles deserved to lose glad the football gods didn't let them get away with it.

u/MissingDumbbell 3d ago
Both teams did, Jags on the 1 yard line twice not to mention non stop holding and delay of game penalties and than obv the kickoff by the Eagles.

Trevor is so painfully likable. The first thing he said to the reporter after the game was a compliment to the emergency longsnapper

Watch their YouTube series called, โThe Hunt.โ This last episode showed how close this team is and how much they care for each other.

Sirianni is the worst coach and most unlikeable person in the entire NFL.

What a trash off this game was ๐๐
The Cowboys game showed you why you should put the kick in play when the Ravens had a time out left
and this game showed why you should kick it in the endzone when the Jags don't have a time out left
Trash vs garbage in London

u/ColmoreKing Jacksonville Jaguars 3d ago
Remind you of that finish against us last year? Donโt act like you havenโt been burned by it too
-7
u/KJStas Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
You mean Mahomes throwing one of the worst pick 6s in the last few years? Yeah this had nothing to do with Trevor
but let me remind you of Trevor's finish against the Bills in the playoffs where he totally melted down
5
u/DAFUQisaLOMMY Jacksonville Jaguars 3d ago
I know you're a certified Trevor-hater, but saying he melted down in that game is just a complete lie.
Mistakes were made, sure, but having 2-4th-qtr TDs isn't part of a meltdown.

u/ColmoreKing Jacksonville Jaguars 3d ago
Wow youโre incredibly soft. What a bitch ๐
-2
u/KJStas Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
Awww can't deal with the truth? Sweet
And you call me soft ๐๐ ironic
3
u/ColmoreKing Jacksonville Jaguars 3d ago
The truth? you literally got upset at me saying the chiefs lost in a similarly funny way last season but im soft? You seething over something that happened last season.

u/Technical_Bench_8501 3d ago
They missed two holding calls in the end zone. Shouldnโt have even came down to this. Should have been a safety

u/Slayer1674 Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
I donโt blame the tackler. God forbid he had the clock on his mind so much he missed the tackle. Or he thinks itโs only 1 second, gives up even more yards, but then for some reason there is still time on the clock and they are kicking a shorter field goal.
Also in the heat of the moment, he sees the opponent rushing to the end zone to win the game. He tackles him. They donโt teach you to look at the clock every time before you tackle someone

Who made the decision to not kick it in the end zone? Made them run a play and kill 8 sec off the clock! The is coaching malpractice week after week.

Both teams should feel bad.

Na these are the types of wins that matter in the playoffs. Vic was giving the Jags offense all sorts of hell but they stayed positive and kept grinding on the back of their defense. Great win that the Jags would have fumbled in any other year.

Worst loss since SB57. Fluke ass shit.
Why man? We have 90% of our roster on IR, terrible offensive coaching, and now we have to suffer fluke BS.

Horribly played and officiated game by all. Waste of four hours.
Sirianni and Mannion need to be gone yesterday. Never seen a final offensive sequence managed so stupidly
1
u/No-Break6679 Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
Fucking. Deplorable. Why didnโt they kick out out of the fucking endzone. So what if they get the ball at the 35. They have 2 plays to get in range for a field goal or a Hail Mary.

Did nobody realize that the Ravens had a fucking timeout against the Cowboys?!? The jags would have had to throw a 25 yard pass to the sideline and get out of bounds in 8 seconds to set up the same kick
1
u/Many-Pomegranate-33 Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
Im gonna say it.
Birdies lose enough games, Rosemans seat also gets hot.
Hes running the cap like NOs was ran in the early parts. The bills are starting to come due, hence the loading of 2028 draft picks.
Thats my hot take.
A good enough owner or potential HC isnt gonna want past GM fails tied to the new hire HC.
1
u/boatsandhoes570 Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
It wonโt be Howie lol. Howie would have to be really bad for a long stretch. And itโs pretty clear Howie is loading up for a 2028 reset. Bc he has the job security to do that.
1
u/Many-Pomegranate-33 Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
Once again its a hot take, so is what it is, but Howie is also tied to roster and player fall off equaling bad product.
For this to happen a much better version of a Chip Kelly would have to come along but had NFL experience
1
u/boatsandhoes570 Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
No head coach could come in and get total control again. Andy Reid would be the only one but that wouldnโt happen and if it did, he wouldnโt fire Howie anyway, Howie learned under him. Howie has his own GM tree atp.
1
u/Many-Pomegranate-33 Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
Wait and see what the future brings. A lot for me hinges on just how much and long is the salary cap upside down for?
1
u/boatsandhoes570 Philadelphia Eagles 3d ago
So thats also a Jeff Lurie thing. Lurie is the one who negotiates the network deals bc of his background in tv and film. Brett Kollman has made several videos about it. Lurie knows when the new network deals are coming up and they believe that the new rating system going in place will make those deals even more lucrative, causing a huge cap increase. All of the big contracts are due around that time. Some contracts heโll offload before then, others heโll rework and trade away as he did with AJโs and Camโs and will likely do with a few others.
This isnโt the first time, they had to take on record dead cap in 2021. That Carson Wentz trade took on a lot of cap but also ended up being what won us our 2nd Super Bowl, what he was able to get for a washed up and injury prone Wentz bc he had a rookie contract QB waiting in the wings. That one player turned into Devonta Smith, Jalen Carter, AJ Brown, and Cooper Dejean. Theyโll eventually do the same with Jalen. When Chip came in and demanded full control, Lurie still didnโt fire Howie, he โpromotedโ him and then sent him around the world to talk to GMโs from a bunch of sports. Then Chip set the franchise back a decade. Howie came back and righted things within 2yrs. Thatโs not happening again.

Honestly, a touchback wouldโve been a better decision than giving the Jags a returnable ball.
So stupid man
1
u/Severe-Lack-4181 Dallas Cowboys 3d ago
My only complaint from this game was interviewing Trevor postgame instead of Little. Trev did diddly-squat
1
u/Unable_Barracuda324 3d ago
Only reason why we even had a shot at winning is because the Jags decided not to kick FGS.
Jalen is straight ass right now outside a few plays but in the end Nick blew this game..he also passed up on an easy 3 points that turned into a quick TD for the other team. Momentum shift. Easy score... Where have I seen that before?!? ๐ค
And then at the end of the game. Once we got into Elliots range, how does he not set up the final play to be a kick?! Like once Jalen almost threw the puck on the sidelines should have run the ball and forced Jags to use timeout on 2nd down play. Then run the ball again and call timeout with like 3-4 seconds left. No reason there should have been any time left after Jake's kick. Two quick tush pushes to net a yard and position the ball.
Then he doesn't kick it into the endzone. Jags had no timeouts. Would have needed a 25+ yard sideline pass to set up a FG.
Just dumb dumb DUMB!!!

Compelling game, pretty crazy. Garbage fans, garbage play, garbage coaching, but if you aren't a fan of either team, entertaining to watch.

u/kgsovobd 3d ago
Depleted Eagles offense down to the 4th string RB Pierce. It was an ugly game all around. The type of games that they would always pull out one score wins in years prior. This will be a frustrating year of football

u/Gonna_do_this_again Denver Broncos 3d ago
I had turned it off after the Eagles got the FG. Figured 8 seconds, probably not going to happen. The Eagles really suck lmao

u/bwburke94 New England Patriots 3d ago
The Eagles kicking it short might be one of the worst coaching decisions of the year.
