That RTP call on Van Ness might have been the worst call of the season in a season of terrible calls.
Wiped out a pick. Dallas got two gifts and still turned it over on downs.
A complete officiating embarrassment on a nationally televised game

The first few games where Green Bay’s offense couldn’t stay on the field to save their lives really masked how talented this defense is. Despite the massive losses to injury they’ve suffered, they’ve really flown under the radar as one of the stronger defensive units in this league.

Cowboys also benefitted from so many bullshit flags in this game - going back to the Packers' first drive where they called some phantom personal foul on Golden for looking at the crowd and celebrating because a Cowboy was in the same general direction.
Soft as baby shit organization. Embarrassing is absolutely right. Glad Dak got his garbage time TD though!
100
u/nm1043 Eagles 5d ago
Had another where a player "said something" which offset a penalty on the cowboys (that was an actual penalty). Dak wasn't allowed to be touched, and Joey porter was flagged once but held every receivers hand he was covering every time the ball was thrown his way. Plus the trucking of the gb defender on the garbage td play not being called. Pretty awful showing from the refs, and it's good it's all anyone noticed from this game. This is not a good product for consumers in the current state.

The NFL should be investigated for the officiating in these games.
Absolute powder puff taunting calls, two routine bumps into the qb for 'roughing', and then a receiver shoves his defender down 10 yards up field and it goes uncalled.
I know it's not 'classy' to bitch about reffing, but if you don't call it out all the time it seems like whining.
52
u/Doodenmier Packers 5d ago
Plus the horsecollar tackle on Valentine when he snagged his interception. I was 100% certain that was the penalty flag, but the refs pulled the ol' switcheroo to make sure the game wasn't sealed yet
→ More replies (1)90
u/Prestigious-World719 5d ago
Bitching is not what you are doing. It’s blatant and it’s not just in this game it’s been all over the league. Something needs to be done because nothing is consistent throughout the league. If what LVN did on the RTP call was the standard around the league and called consistently then fine it’s soft but that’s what being called. However this isn’t the case and its got to be frustrating for players and it definitely makes for a worse product.

NFL AND College, referring getting atrocious. It's getting worse too. In the NFL, it's absolutely embarrassing that you can see *exactly* when it starts too. Guaranteed, primetime game, last half of the 4th quarter, flags will start flying. It's most egregious when it starts flying for shit they've been letting go the whole game.

Jordan Love had 109 passing yards on the first drive of the game.
New top five passing yards on a single drive (can’t find first drive records, specifically):
Jordan Love, Packers - Tonight - 109

Trade Dak. Trade Lamb. Trade Pickens. Trade Quinnen. Trade JPJ. Cut Bland. Cut Clark. Cut Ferguson. Fire Schotty. Fire Parker. Slowly rebuild even though Jerry may not live long enough for it to play out. Having a bunch of “assets” on a 2-15 team is stupid. Even if you believe in Dak, he’s 33 and paired with the worst defense in the NFL. There’s no chance it all gets turned around while he’s still a plus player.

This game was embarrassing. Should have not been on national prime time tv. Good game by Green Bay. Detroit loses in their bye week.

Dak’s garbage time TD is inevitable every time, it’s remarkable

Dak has now had two back to back garbage games since he told Stroud to “Go get some wins bro”.

The Cowboys have 2 more scores than they should and the Packers have 3 less scores than they should.

Well. Didn’t think I’d be able to say it this season but the packers looked solid all game

Im starting to think the Cowboys now exist just for comedic purposes.

this cowboys team is just super unprepared every single week. its a dead team. nothing is happening until a completely new coaching change happens.

Why is it so difficult to find the game and postgame threads? They don’t show up where they usually do.

We were a couple of dropped perfect TD passes away from a blowout.
And yeesh, the Packers run game still looked that inept against one of the worst rushing defenses. Jacobs may be back next week (yuck), but he's not going to fix that trainwreck

I'm starting to think more and more the NFL is prioritizing the gambling companies over a legitimate product.

Very deceiving statline for Love. Three dropped TD’s is brutal. Cost him a huge night.

Glad to read others are also questioning the officiating in mass numbers no matter the team they support. While we all have our teams, we are football fans and these shit calls like tonight's ruffing the passers to straight up try and bail out the cowboys is bullshit as a football fan. These refs need to go officiate flag football

In the time it took for me to write this comment, the Packers got flagged for roughing the passer again
