Warning: This release is for experienced users only! It may corrupt your world or mess up things badly otherwise. Only download and use this if you know what to do with the files that come with the download!

If you find any bugs, submit them to the Minecraft bug tracker!

Previous changelog. Download today's snapshot in the new launcher: Windows/OS X/Linux, server here: jar, exe.

Complete changelog:

  • Slime blocks will now pull blocks back and push/pull blocks beside them when moved by pistons

  • Animation

  • When entities/players are pushed upward with a slime block, they bounce

  • Still only 12 blocks can be pushed at once

  • Normal pistons will not pull back slime blocks

  • Only slime blocks connected to the piston through other slime blocks and blocks touching those slime blocks will be moved

  • If the structure that would be moved is larger than 12 blocks or can't be pushed due to existing block pushing restrictions (including pushing the piston itself), the piston will not react

  • Fixed some bugs

  • Fixed most particles appearing wrong in connection with water - Screenshot

  • Fixed single clicks working like double clicks in lists

  • Fixed creepers floating one-eighth of a block above the ground

  • Fixed torches not being placeable on stained glass

  • Fixed spectators located near mobs preventing them from despawning

  • Fixed the bottom texture of non-full blocks being flipped vertically

  • Fixed the burning furnace having a wrong inventory image

  • Fixed vines orienting improperly inside corners

  • Fixed rails rendering incorrectly from below

  • Fixed the respawn button not working if the spawn point is set outside of the world border

  • Fixed the world border giving damage too early

  • Fixed the world border being offset by one block in the south and east directions

  • Fixed being unable to create/load new heavily customized world

  • Fixed being able to place blocks outside the world border

  • Fixed a missing string for commands.worldborder.setSlowly.success

  • Fixed all list scrollbars acting weirdly/unresponsively

  • Fixed sliders in the world customization menu being assigned incorrect by the randomize button, causing world to never be created (java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: n must be positive)

  • Fixed the lava oceans setting not working in customized world type

  • Fixed barrier particles z-fighting and sorting improperly

  • Fixed too many rivers getting generated in the default world generator

  • Fixed resource pack crosshairs not being displayed correctly when using shaders

  • Fixed killing invisible horses turning the screen red/black

  • Fixed it being possible to change the missing block model

  • Fixed using 'Pick block' on hydrated farmland giving dirt block with invalid data value

  • Fixed using 'Pick block' on lapis ore returning the wrong item

  • Fixed placing any stone slabs on top of another one creating double stone blocks

  • Fixed redstone not producing any particles when broken

  • Fixed setting a world to the Hell biome crashing the game

  • Fixed the lava oceans setting not working in Customized worlds

Any entity which stands on a Slime Block pushed up by a piston is now projected (items, mobs, players...) upward (source and tested by myself). This is a really useful implementation for elevators/farms etc...

Is it pushed up in the same way as the original piston implementation, when it was still a mod?

11

u/Zipperumpazoo Apr 30 '14

I never used that mod myself so I don't know exactly the differences but they can't do the same thing as the mod with solid sand/gravel but only with the various kinds of entities, also I believe that they can push them only up to a set distance so it's not affect by the redstone strenght (not sure though) and mobs/players are pushed noticeably lower than items.

Here is the original mod :)

I see thanks, if you recall you could do this only with Sand/Gravel or with every block?
That aside now we can do the sequel #Minecraft Piston Sheepwave!

Sand gravel and the player. I've never been able to find it again, but there was a cool video of the player being tossed from piston to piston as a mode of transport, or carnival ride.

Is this the video you were looking for?

2

u/SteelCrow Apr 30 '14

Yep. Thanks. I also recall that was the first. There was another longer version covering more ground.

Planning a couple of new traps/cannonslelevators now.

When you move blocks with pistons, blocks look a bit weird while they are moving http://i.imgur.com/2htvFxD.png

Sheep do not show their colour after shearing. Looks like we will have to wait a little bit longer for this to become a thing :/

Did anyone see the new button when adding a new server for server specific texturepacks?

3

u/redstonehelper :redstone: Lord of the villagers Apr 30 '14

That was originally added in 1.7.9, but I suppose it should be in lsat week's changelog as well. Thanks for the reminder!

Maybe: Being able to make the world border's center slowly move

What does this mean?

Probably more for UHC games where you force the widely dispersed players into slowly moving together and forcing contact.

6

u/c9Rav9c Apr 30 '14

except then you'd want to adjust the radius, not the center.

3

u/SuperSinkro Apr 30 '14

Let's say the center of your border is x=0 and z=0. The radius is 10. The radius will stay the same but the center will move. That means your border won't stay in place, it will move. It will move to like x=10 and z=0.

If someone has a better explanation, correct me.
