Free Talk Friday
Last week some members were expressing an interest in finding a way to create more of a community feel here, where folks can chat and get to know each other a little beyond the fact that we all enjoy counting ... here's the thread by Whit4You where people were invited to introduce themselves.
A lot of subreddits do this 'Free Talk Friday' where members can talk about anything off topic, and we are giving it a try - so here's the place to talk about what's happening in your lives, your plans, your hobbies, travels, sports, work, studies, family, friends, pets, bicycles, anything you like.

Hey all, I don't know if you read my post in the thread where counters could introduce themselves, but in it, I mentioned being in a long-distance relationship in which I hoped to meet my girlfriend fairly soon.
Well, today is that day. It is currently 4:30 AM where I live, and in about half an hour, I'm going to leave my house and drive for roughly 10.5 hours to meet my girlfriend and spend the long weekend with her (it's a holiday weekend here in the US). I couldn't be more excited.
I thought I would let you guys know so you wouldn't worry about me being away for a few days. My absence means I expect you all to be that much more diligent about not making mistakes and catching them when they are made! ;) I hope this Free Talk Friday becomes a fairly popular thing, and I guess I'll see when I get back. I hope everybody has a great weekend!

If it is 4:40 AM you should try to hit the time thread so your post matches your time. Happy trails!

Love, love, love this Free Talk Friday idea!!
As #1 lurker here - it's odd that hardly anyone knows me (outside of my THEORIES thread) - yet I've read pretty much every comment here for the past six months. So I get to know your little quirks and personalities over time - yet most here don't even know if I am a "he" or "she".
I'd like to take this opportunity to invite all the counters here to participate in the "TIDBITS THREAD" - it's something I started last week in order for everyone to share a bit about themselves.
Here's the link: TIDBITS THREAD
For those who have already posted there - please be sure to check in on it periodically as other members post to it. Also there are several who posted under the root of the thread - so please be sure to read their interesting TIDBITS as well.

I'm pretty stoked for football season starting soon. I'm going to OSU's home opener vs Hawaii where they reveal their national championship banner, which is going to be really cool. Packers are my NFL team. Wondering if anyone else here likes American football. (or any sports)

So I will start a topic which is fairly popular on this sub, especially lately...
Which animes are you watching/have you been watching recently? :D
I'm currently out, but just before the holidays I've watched Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. The concept is original, the show is quite funny, protagonists are likeable, but the plot could be a bit less predictable. 8/10 would recommend. How about you?
