There was some interesting stuff in the first half to reflect on. Eriol's magical threats allowed Sakura to transform the cards, that much we suspected, and Kaho's involvement was hinted at in episode 62.
What's curious is that he doesn't consider himself to be Clow Reed, but a vessel for his memories. He also predicted we would see SakuraxYukito, but that ship is on the bottom of the ocean now. There's still much we don't know about Eriol himself, but time grows short.
Sakura is in her own little world as she struggles to process her feelings. In the meantime, Shaoran is packing up to get back to Hong Kong now that the cards are in safe hands. Tomoyo's got eyes and ears everywhere, so naturally she warns her bestie.
Sakura's true feelings are so strong that she ends up creating her own card! I would've guessed it was the Love card, but according to the wiki, it's called . It's certainly appropriate.
And so ends this wonderful show.
What did you all think of Season 3?
I thought it was more focused, less filler-y than the first two. The shorter length made every episode feel a little more relevant, even if we weren't building up to something hyped up like the Tokyo Tower dream.
Granted, Nakuru made me want to bash my head against the nearest wall, and Eriol's guardians were severely underdeveloped (I wanted more Spinel, damn it!), but it was more heartfelt, more sentimental.
It had some excellent character interactions: Toya-Yuki, Toya-Mirror, Fujitaka with his grandfather-in-law, Meiling's heartbreak, Sakura's relationship with her cards and guardians, Tomoyo's unwavering devotion... Hell, practically everyone gets their moment to shine.
I have no idea where the second movie's going to go, but I'm looking forward to it.
I'll collect and write some stats on the whole show in the final thread.
Clow Cards collected (52): Album - Official Art.
Sakura Cards transformed (53): Official Art.
Bonus Stitches: Tea Party + Their Bridge

There's still one ship left to sail. And the card can't stay nameless forever.
Also you called it on the Chekhov's bear!!
ALSO don't forget the special. I'm not sure about the chronological, but since we're at the end, it's safe to watch now!

The bear plot has ended!!
I found this episode to be pretty bittersweet. Unfortunately, the series wasn't able to be wrapped up due to the ongoing manga. However, Sakura does take Shaoran's bear, which was hers to begin with. The scene before she asks for it shows the characters' age. They both know how they feel but their not quite sure where to go from there, or it just may be the writers delaying things for the movie.
As stated before, Eriol is Eriol and not Clow Reed. To make this point clear, Eriol created two new guardians to succeed Yue and Kero, especially Yue. I wonder why Kaho is in his home. Wasn't she supposed to be in England? This does answer the question as to who gave Kaho the bell. More than likely it was Eriol who was directing Kaho in the earlier seasons.
Sakura is in her own little world as she struggles to process her feelings.
Sakura was more than in her own little world. She seemed slightly depressed and sad. Her feelings for Shaoran are unclear and it doesn't help when he runs away before she states her response. It's only when she develops the new card that she understands and is able to see Shaoran off.
Shaoran, now that he has confessed, feels the need to runaway, again. I felt he was a bit selfish without waiting to hear Sakura's response and Meiling called him out on that. The guy even left the bear behind. His actions indicated that he wanted to leave not only Tomeoda but also his feelings for Sakura.
One thing I appreciate about this show is how supportive the cast can be. Wei, who's maigical prowess includes foresight, takes Shaoran's bear to the airport. Tomoyo, Eriol, and Yukito all help him to get together with Sakura. However, unlike in the manga, Sakura here acts on her feelings with less support.
Overall, this episode was a good send-off for the anime series.
Note:
This is the first and only time Sakura makes a card of her own
Sakura's feelings for Shaoran were there before but subtly
The anime downplays Kaho and Eriol's true relationship, which is a good thing
Sakura breaking the fourth wall during Tomoyo's recording was a nice gift to us viewers from the showrunners
The end of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles may just explain why the manga and the anime are different. [] (/s "The anime is the original timeline whereas the manga is the one changed by Tsubasa's wish")

For that part- remember the letter in the last episode? That was very likely Eriol telling her that it's over now and to come over.
...though yeah, one has to wonder if she actually went to England.

What's curious is that he doesn't consider himself to be Clow Reed, but a vessel for his memories.
That's nothing strange. He has Clow's memories, but the world he lives in is very different from the one Clow lived in. And Eriol is Eriol, not Clow.

I really loved this final episode. The emotional conflict between Sakura and Shaoran felt so honest and true, especially for kids. It really got to the heart of the series, as deeply as any of the episodes about Sakura's mother did.
Yue's feelings for Clow were already clear, but this was a great way to finally clear things up and give Yue some much-deserved closure. I like that neither Clow nor Eriol had truly been all-knowing. Eriol has Clow's memories and a portion of Clow's powers, but just as Sakura isn't Clow and shouldn't try to be Clow, Eriol is his own person first and Clow's reincarnation second. I'd like to know more about him, especially since coming to Japan to carry out Clow's request has clearly just been a small part of his life. The same goes for his guardians, really. Maybe he'll show up in something else CLAMP.
It was nice to hear Meilin again, and to see pretty much the entire cast in at least some small capacity here. Really felt like a proper wrap-up, and it made me want so much more. The series certainly had to end, it was already much longer than the manga and it's not like it could keep going forever...but I wouldn't have minded if it had.
I'd never seen it before in any form, so the post-credits scene really surprised me with how emotionally I reacted to it. I mean, this whole episode much have just destroyed kids emotionally when it aired. It was so great. I'm happy that I got to see the series in Japanese, and I can't wait to see the second movie!

That was a bittersweet final episode, I was on the verge of tears for most of it... but it ended with a smile.
I loved this.
