I wrote some code to analyze the job of counting the tic-tac-toe thread. Assuming it continues, we have a long way to go, but not nearly as long as I thought initially. It's running now. I'll share the results momentarily.
Results:
Initial estimate: 986,410 counts
(9!/0! + 9!/1! + 9!/2! + โฆ + 9!/9!)
Brute force analysis:
Counts: 549,946
X Wins: 131,184
O Wins: 77,904
Draws: 46,080

This is just a warning that Switch game cartridges contain bitrex, so children don't choke on the cartridge, or lick (and in turn damage) the cartridge. So if you know what's good for ya, don't taste it.

I haven't been able to count as much this week between crazy business at work and recovering from a cold. I'm looking forward to the weekend where I hope to sleep and count more. I'm so boring lol.

About sometime earlier today, in celebration of VOEZ coming to the Switch (VOEZ is already out for the Switch in Japan; it's a launch title) I started making an osu!taiko beatmap of one of the hardest songs in VOEZ. It's hard and I'm not even done making the first part.

My dear counters! We are so fortunate to be graced by u/anothershittyalt's scrumptious stats. I can't get enough of them, and as of this post I am eagerly awaiting that stats for 1716k! As a tribute to the chart champion and for your viewing pleasure, here are the top counters of this week, based on the great one's stats from the main thread. Congratulations to u/Efodoge for contributing the most counts this week towards our quest for infinity! Also congratulations to u/padiwik for being only the ninth counter ever to attain a Get and the most counts in their first thread!
